Great and fun dining at Chile & Agave - the hostess was great to seat us down without a reservation. Always a fun time, with the music, theme and styles. The margarita's are a great add, we always try to get a different flavour to see what they have. The chimichanga is simply a go to, as it's difficult to find a place that does it this well! But the other items on the menu are superb as well! Prices are well worth the drive too.

Excellent place to get some authentic and delicious Mexican food! For appetizers, we got the Choriqueso which was amazing. The meat was soft and had a nice flavour to it. They gave complimentary salsa and chips and for our main courses we got the Birria tacos with cheese and the beef fajitas. The meat was exquisite and for the price you pay, you get A LOT of things included with your meal. The Pink Señorita drink was just amazing. The tequila wasn’t too strong and it was perfect for a summer day. The waitress was nice and the wait for the food wasn’t too long.

Ate here passing by on the way to the falls. Cute spot with super friendly, knowledgeable staff. There is lots of good selection on the menu. The food came quickly and was delicious. There is lots of meat in the taco, definitely recommend adding cheese. They only have one gluten-free option for dessert, but we were quite full from dinner. Note, we called ahead for a reservation but they do not take them, we waited about half an hour around 530 to get in.

First time to try here and we're impressed! Cozy atmosphere, very attentive and friendly staff, food is great and prices are affordable. Some Mexican restaurants that offer good food are pricey and servings are not much. But in here, restaurant offers good quality and quantity at a good price too! Will definitely come back.

We accidentally stopped at this place while on our way to Niagara and had the best time ever. The food, the ambiance, the service and even their cocktails were simply outstanding. I would definitely good back to this place to try out other cocktails on their menu. The vibe did definitely take me back to my Mexico vacation. This place was a lot of fun, with amazing food and service. I would definitely recommend the Mango Picante and the Avocado Tacos.

Service was nice. Ambiance was fine. Food presentation was very good however flavors was missing that authentic Mexican taste. The chips and salsa came and the salsa had a good mixture of seasonings. The chips were a little disappointing as they seemed slightly stale and cold. I went to the restaurant as it was top rated but honestly have had better.

Amazing small little hidden gem! Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable about drinks and the menu. The food here is amazing, biggest portions I’ve ever seen! Everything is home made and very very good, worth every bite and penny. The drinks are pretty cool too, nice little touch to it!

Just came across this place while in Niagara Region but got to say - one of best Mexican food ever had in Ontario region. Atmosphere was amazing and host was very welcoming and friendly. For salad and veggies part, got to say was very fresh. Ordered pineapple margaritas- was really awesome I can just drive for this place for Mexican food (almost 2 hrs )

The chips were so hard i couldn't eat them...but other than that everything was absolutely delish!! Such an inviting and fun beautiful atmosphere. Waiters/waitresses were very on top of everything and kind! We had Dan serve us and he was great! 👍 thanks so much, my boys enjoyed their vegan meals as did I. The rest of the family isn't vegan but said it was delicious as well...minus the hard nacho chips!

*Updated to include ordering & in-person experience* Ordering: We ordered from Chile & Agave and it was a great option. At first we thought it was expensive, but for the amount of food you get its definitely worth it! We ordered the Chile & Agave Party which we split in half for two meals. It was way too much food for just two people! The variety was a great way to try out a lot of different foods they provide at once. The salsa was for sure the highlight. I have never had such a good salsa - so fresh, so full of flavour. I want to buy a bottle for myself! We also ordered the Fajitas with Chicken for our friend. It was so much food and she adored it. In-Person: We went to Chile & Agave on a Sunday night. It wasn't took busy, just enough a few other people in the restaurant. The take-out was very busy though. Our waitress was very sweet, checked up on us often, and spoke both English & Spanish for myself and my partner. She was very friendly and ensured that we were well taken care of. I tried out their strawberry margarita and fell in love with it. The glass is huge (the picture doesn't do justice!) and the flavour was amazing. We also tried out the Barbacoa Nachos and a Quesadilla. Our friends had the Chicharron which they always get whenever they visit. The decor was festive for Christmas with paper flags hanging from the ceiling. The walls are painted in a classic style and it really makes the restaurant feel like a South American restaurant. For sure worth trying in-person to get the experience!

Delicious food and excellent service, specially from Maryory!!!!!! She was very nice, efficient, caring and fun :) I invited my friend for her birthday and she even brought her a cake with candle. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back for sure.

I haven't gone inside Chile & Agave, but since the pandemic, I have ordered it online. I am very impressed with their food! Their vegetarian options are amazing! Their portion sizes are very generous and their food is fresh! I highly recommend that you try out Chile & Agave, and when you do make sure you order a side of guacamole and their cheese cake burrito (it is to die for!). EDITED POST: Recently visited the patio and it was amazing! The staff was friendly and the food was even better in person! Try the vegan chorizo (see photo).

The margaritas were phenomenal!!!!! The best. Great chips and guacamole. The mains were good too, would have liked some crema with the tacos but still great.

It was a busy night at the restaurant but the serving staff were great and the food was very good. They were out of a few things that I originally ordered, so I had to change what I had for dinner, and my beverage choice. Still the food I ordered was very good. The atmosphere at the restaurant was upbeat and cheerful. I would definitely go back when I visit the area again.

authentic Mexican food! We got Guacamole appetizer - definitely for 2 people only, it was alright not the best I’ve had, could use a lot more lime, salt and onion. The chips were delicious, fresh and crunchy. I rate it a 7/10. Both of us got Birria Tacos that came with rice and beans.. absolutely delicious I cannot describe how delicious the rice, beans and tacos were. something worth driving long distance to. 10/10 in all aspects! We got churros for desserts and you get 6 small pieces. They arrived crunchy, hot and fresh. So so so so delicious. You have to order them at last! 10/10!!!! I love this places! Been going to it for years and will continue to do so! You have to visit if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.

We had a great dinner and experience for my Dad’s birthday! Great food, great margs, and our server and the staff surprised us and sang him happy birthday. Our server, I wish I remembered her name, was so pleasant and friendly throughout. Highly recommend the enchiladas suiza!

We ate here on a recommendation and it was pretty good. I had the Red Guajillo Enchiladas and my wife had the Chimichanga. Mine was good but did not wow me and my wife enjoyed her meal. Serving sizes were good for the price. The Margaritas were tasty and they had some good Tequila choices. The service was great and the decor cool. I will go back again and try something different.

Date of Visit: Saturday October 21, 2023 We had driven past Chile & Agave many times when we were not ready to eat, and thought, “we should go there one day”. Well, when a friend from Niagara wanted to meet for dinner, we decided this was a perfect time to check out Chile & Agave. We made reservations online to ensure we could be seated when we arrived. This was a good choice as when we arrived – it was super busy and packed. We got seated immediately and were immediately greeted by our waiter. We ordered margaritas – lime, mango, and peach. We ordered guac and chips appetizer – and the guac was perfectly prepared and full of flavour. For dinner, we had Chicken Tinga Chimichanga and the carne asada Steak The meals are beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and plentiful. Everything was delicious. The only issue I have with the menu is that the menu can be misleading on many items – not all items indicate what they come with – but let it be clear that everything comes with salads, rice, beans, etc (you definitely won't go hungry). Our server was very attentive and engaging, frequently came to check on us to see if we needed anything, and was very friendly. The restaurant has a very authentic Mexican vibe with authentic decorations and atmosphere. The restaurant is clearly very popular, as it was packed the entire time we were there. This is also a very popular place for birthdays and celebrations – if you are celebrating a birthday – be sure to let them know. Because it is so busy – parking can be a challenge – the lot fills up fast. The restaurant can be very loud as a result of it being very busy, this can make it challenging to have a conversation. They do have a large outdoor patio that would be amazing to sit on -during better weather. The prices are very reasonable. Each entrée is approx. 17-20 per person. This is a beautiful restaurant with many amazing meal items to choose from. Roguetrippers will be back many times in the future.

First time going, went for a quick lunch with some colleagues. I had nachos and others had fish tacos and quesadillas. Food was nicely presented, good sized portions and tasted good. Music way too loud, thank you for turning it down, it was appreciated. It got super busy and with only one Server who was also the Bartender, it really slowed things down when about 12 tables were full. Thank you providing us with good quality of service, we understand that you were working alone, other than kitchen staff. Time for another Server so your quality staff don't burn out.

Very busy. Make a reservation. I had just found out about it and went. I'm pretty sure it was a house converted into a resturant. Not a lot of seating. They have an outside overflow dinning, cold during the winter though. They do have a few heaters overhead. I would put up some removable plastic covering on the walls to retain some of the heat. I loved the salsa! It was very good! Some places have what I call taco sauce. This salsa looked freshly made. The enchiladas were good, but got cold before I could finish. I would eat here again when the weather is warmer.

For my birthday the family went to Chili & Agave. It lived up to the great hype. The Mexican food was wonderful, presentation outstanding, and service first rate.

Loved this restaurant! First off, it makes you feel like you're in Mexico. The music, the decor, the delicious food and drinks. The service was awesome. It's such a fun environment. There are cute little spots for photos, too! We sat inside, but there was a nice patio space for outdoor dining as well. I look forward to eating here again the next time I'm in St. Catherines. P.S. Get the churros with ice cream. You won't regret it! They were made fresh and SO GOOD!

Visited this restaurant for the first time from a recommendation of friends. We didn't have reservations so we waited which was completely fine as it was very busy and had two big parties. The restaurant decided that they wanted to utilize the patio for more seating which in theory is great. The food and service was great, but unfortunately if you are going to use a patio for guest you have to ensure the guests will not freeze. They had heaters on the ceiling over some but not all tables, screens for walls and plastic chair that were freezing. We had a table with no heater so that made it even worse. I truly had a hard time enjoying my experience because I was so cold. Kept my coat on and wore gloves when done with my food. Couldn't leave fast enough. It frankly took away from what could have been a fabulous experience. My advice. Serve less and give the experience that everyone inside was able to have. Thank you.

First time ordering order was wrong order and never got money back for their mistake. They really lack on that and gave a bad impression. Gave it another chance its been ok since. The food is good. We like the vegan and vegetarian food. We order over phone and pick up so that they don't have to pay their profits to third party company. I like that they give you an option for discount if you pay cash. They should organize their ordering system a bit better to avoid issues. But it's worth it to try them out. Update: We gave them another shot and got mistakes on orders again. Unlikely that we will go back.

First time trying Chili & Agave, we were pleased. Very authentic I would say from my own limited exposure to Mexican cuisine. My wife and I shared the party platter...good way to sample a bit of everything. Order a Coco Loco to drink, you won't be disappointed!

Cute place with big portions. The tacos are big - the tortilla is so delicious! I was happy with the baja taco I got, wish they made it so that you can mix tacos instead of getting 3 of the same kind, but still was good! The table next to us ordered one of the nachos for appetizer and it was big & looked really good. They got 2 cute photo spots inside, one right at the entrance & one as you go down towards restrooms.

Amazing food, great staff who were extremely knowledgeable about their menu and just a vibe to be around. Food - we got the Chile Relleno and Enchilada 3 Moles which was reasonably priced especially for the quantity of food. The Chile relleno was a dish we’ve never tried before and it just vanished from my plate 👀, a very flavourful dish and felt like I was eating at someone’s house who invited us over for dinner (home cooked meal). We also got the ceviche which came with lots of shrimp, food came out very quick even with the place being quite busy! Decorations - Gorgeous. The entire place is so colourful, and honestly you don’t want to miss an opportunity towards the bathroom cause of the beautiful lighting and wall decorations! Staff - incredibly fun to be around, the one who helped us, her laughter was contagious and was full of energy and they all seemed to get along so well in the kitchen. Great place to celebrate birthdays too! Drinks - fun drinks, lots of variety, we got the mojito, pina colada to start which were nicely made and decorative, and post dinner the strawberry kiss instead of desert. Recommendations - would definitely encourage others to go here, and definitely will be going back to check out their options. One of the best Mexican food locations we’ve tried in Canada especially where you can dine in.

Great food good service! We were seated pretty quickly even though we showed up to a busy night without a reservation. The Tarasca soup and birria tacos were both amazing!! Highly recommend trying both. So glad birria tacos are available in Niagara now. So messy but so worth it.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Paradoxically low-key and high-energy, with fantastic food and the kind of margarita that you've been dreaming of. John was able to help us choose amongst the many margarita flavour options. Even though the menu is not huge, everything sounds amazing, so he helped us pick it meals, and we were all really happy. Lots of vegan options available, and John was allergen-aware. We will be back again!

So fresh and tasty

Always wanted to try an authentic Birria tocó place and I came across this place. The tacos where really good and the platter. The vibe and the place was truly authentic and the waiter we had was kind and friendly and truly amazing. Loved this place and did I forgot to mention I tried tres Leche before but when I tried there fresh tres leches cake I could now understand why tres Leche cake is truly amazing.

The food is REALLY good and authentic. We had amazing service, they came to check on us a few times but not overwhelming and I like what they've done with the patio to eliminate the sound from the busy street. Very good The owner is a delight, will come here again Thank you!

Called in a large Take Out order at 4PM for 530 pick up. The order was hot and ready at the exact time (and the take out slushy margaritas were perfectly frosty) The food was great. Loved that they make tortillas in house and that they have Gluten Free options!

there is seating outside, the food is good a little on the salty side. We think there maybe MSG as we did have a slight reaction since we are sensitive but still the food was very good. Their Margarita was great so I would say that yes this is a place to visit to try out. Service was excellent and yes they do give you tasty chips and salsa to start.

We ordered take out. We ordered a vegan option. Nothing was labelled. Literally tossed salad , rice and refried beans in a cardboard container with a warm quesidilla on top .. they did this for all meals. No one could eat the salad.. looked horrible all this food tossed in a container. And one meal wasnt what we ordered. Called restaurant to give opportunity to make it right .. and all we got was " i will tell kitchen ". Skip the dishes refunded only 20 bucks on a 160 take out. Not impressed .. wont order again .

For a few years I've been going there / ordering takeout and it's always wonderful. The staff are always fun and nice let alone the authentic mexican food they make which is absolutely perfect. My goto is the enchiladas suizas however the tacos and chimichangas are simply devine! The churos for dessert are always the best. Prices are great I challenge you to find a better meal for under 20 bucks !

The service was good and vibrant. The place is full of colors. Food was decent. I thought the tinga chicken could be more flavorful. In one of the dishes we got hair but they changed it for us and did not charge which was very nice of them. Mole sauces were interesting and loved the mango spice drink. The portion size of food is good. The spicy sauce and fresh fried nachos were good which is served complimentary.
