I accidentally found this place when I was searching on Google Maps to find a top rated place for an early lunch and I was amazed by the quality of the food and service. It has a small backyard patio and cozy din-in tables. Their creative menu has less than 15 options and is rotating and written on a chalk board. But everything is tasteful and fresh. The lovely lady who took our orders helped us pick our food. We ordered "Lobster Florentine Benedict" and "Brisket Burger". Both of them were toothsome and of high quality.

First time eating here and everything was wonderful. The restaurant has a cozy vibe, the service was excellent and friendly, and the food was fantastic. We shared the Pork Belly Benedict and the French toast with fresh berries, and both were delicious - the pork belly is a standout, and the eggs on the benedict were perfectly poached. Good bottomless coffee too. I'll be back the next time we're in the area.

Food & service both were great. We got sourdough waffle & lobster Benedict. Both were really good! They usually have a couple of Benedict options on the menu and either French toast or waffle. The waffle with peach & maple cream was so good. Not the crunchy outside waffle, but soft and complemented peach so well! This is a cute little place, when the weather is nice they do have patio seating. If you are seated inside, you see the kitchen and poached eggs being made for the benedicts! Very friendly service.

Great presentation, awesome service. Food was a bit salty to our taste. Especially the pork belly. Overall a great experience. Probably best brunch in Niagara.

Got the smoked salmon and avocado Benny, lobster Benny, and pork belly Benny. The pork belly one was the most flavourful. It tasted like it was glazed with maple syrup. The potatoes were alright. I only wish there was more hollandaise sauce. It seemed as though there was just the slightest drizzle of hollandaise. I would get the pork belly one again and not waste my time with the others. When you are there, everyone has to order at least $25 of food.

This place is awesome! It was my first time there today, rec by my friend who visits often. The food is made fresh, and is soooo delicious! Exceptional. I came here yesterday and got the pork belly and brie benedict. It was the best breakfast I've ever had, and I've had approximately one breakfast per day for my entire life, so I'm kind of an expert. HAD to come back today, and I got the mushroom, truffle and goat cheese omelet. I expected "good" not "wow" because, hey, how much can you do with a mushroom omelet. However: Wow. Some real talent, skill, and attention to detail going on in that kitchen. I'll come back anytime I'm in the area.

Easily the best spot for brunch in town! While it's small, the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy and the food is to die for. During the summer they have a quaint little patio outback that is great for dining outdoors. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and are dedicated to outstanding customer service. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Food was excellent once again, but service was a touch lacking compared to their usual standards. Feels like one wait staff was newer and learning the ropes in the middle of a busy brunch time service. It was just small things, reminders for milk twice for coffee already served.

Celebrating our one year anniversary and decided to venture out of Niagara Falls. Hubby found Bistro Mirepoix in St Catharine’s so we decided to try it for breakfast! Hands down just amazing customer service and quality of food. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a satisfying breakfast! We tried the coffee (so delicious), salmon and avocado Benedict and the pork belly Benedict. Hubs asked about the charcuterie box they had on their website for our little mini picnic and they whipped one up for us! All I can say is, enjoy!

Thanks google for helping us find this little gem. Quirky place, with locally sourced ingredients. Chef clearly loves what he does and takes great pride in the food he produces. The sourdough waffles are amazing, very big portion. Could easily be shared by two. Pork belly on Brie was incredible. Had our daughter who’s a bit picky and they whipped up something not on the menu to help us out! Highly recommended.

I’ve been dying to try Mirepoix, and it exceeded my expectations. Subtle, divine, delicious. I had the pork belly Benedict and could taste each flavour individually, then it all came together as perfection in my mouth. We also appreciated the cool, chill vibe of the owner operators.

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had. It's very pricey, probably $30 and up for a breakfast but my god is everything perfect. Smoked salmon avocado benedict came with some potatoes, never had a dish where every texture was perfect. Chef is incredible and they basically have a small herb garden in house. I can't imagine why anyone would leave this place a bad review besides price but it's your choice to eat there. It's worth the experience, you rarely see 4.8 stars for a reason.

TL;DR Awesome place with unique spins on classic dishes, top tier service, and a cool vibe. The food is incredible. I have gone a couple of times, and you can tell that everything is made with passion. The food is balanced and satisfying, and the portion sizes are about as big as you can get while still having nice plating. They always have something new to try. Whatever the special is, you should probably get it. I had the Bunny Benny, which was eggs benny on their delicious sourdough with braised rabbit. It was incredible, and the eggs were perfectly cooked for a runny yolk with a fully cooked white. The service is super friendly, but also clearly very busy doing tons of other stuff. Surprisingly, with the multitude of tasks being done, I didn't go very long without coffee (which was 416, by the way, best around) or water, and any questions were handled in a friendly but concise manner. The atmosphere is cozy, but a bit tight for my liking since I'm a pretty large person. It can also be a bit loud, depending on other customers. If you look around, there is a lot of quirky stuff around on shelves. There is also local art on the walls, which I think is super cool.

This was quite honestly the best breakfast I've eaten in many years, and I recommend Mirepoix to anyone who understands and appreciates good food. No, you're not going to get simple 'bacon and eggs' here. Instead, you will have an unforgettable dining experience that you're unlikely to find anywhere else. Totally fresh ingredients, everything cooked to order, efficient and attentive service. The salmon and avocado eggs benedict was divine, with perfectly poached eggs and crispy roasted potatoes on the side, and my girlfriend's mushroom and swiss was so good that I had to swap a forkful of hers too. We'll be back as soon as we can!

Found this place on an internet search looking for breakfast near me when we were in the Niagara region. From the outside it dosent look like much but the food is over the top. Shared the eggs Benedict and the Monte cristo with my wife both were out of this world. Wish we lived closer it would be a regular for us.

Everything is fresh and home made. The breads just came out of the oven. The meats out of the smoker. The owner served the food with pleasurable smile. The food is delicate, thoughtful and diverse. The Pork belly, avocados, ratatouille or salmon, you simply cannot go wrong. In the end we we arguing about whose meal best. delicious

Best brunch anywhere! Don't let anyone say they're over priced. Considering the swill you'll get for $15 or more anywhere else, you cannot beat the prices. I've gone quite a few times, and all the dishes have been above average quality. The only thing that competes with the terrific food, is the wonderful, friendly service! Can't wait to go back!

Delightfully quirky little place in a weird location that's easy to miss. The menu was diverse and the offerings sounded delicious. Very cute little side patio with the daintiest of tables and chairs. They served coffee with actual sugar cubes! I had the lobster eggs Benedict, which was very good although the lobster could have been fresher. Service was attentive. Would recommend!

Lovely place for brunch. A bit pricey for a breakfast but everything is fresh high quality and locally sourced so no points deducted for that. Everything was cooked perfectly and the bistro itself has a warm homey feel. I would reccomend to anyone looking for something different that is prepared with great love and care. You can really tell these people enjoy what they do.

This is by far our favourite brunch spot ever. Sometimes when someone asks you for your favourite of anything, it's hard but Mirepoix makes it so easy. The menu seems to change a bit to allow for fresh ideas. The quality of the food is amazing. The pork belly is so tender and tasty and is a must try. We recommend this place 100% and cannot wait til we brunch again. Also take notice of the little toy soldiers throughout the restaurant. They are fun to spot!

While passing by St. Catharines on our way to Niagara on the Lake we decided to check out Bistro Mirepoix for breakfast. The place is absolutely charming and the food amazing. Coffee was great! I tried the mushroom quiche which was delicious. My boyfriend had the classic breakfast to sample a bit of everything and found the porkbelly exceptional. We had a great meal and service was excellent. Definitely a place to pop in to if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

We were visiting from out of town and wanted a nice breakfast or brunch. A Google search put this Bistro as # 1...with good reason. The food is incredible, the service is fantastic. We will definitely return when we are back this way. Also, I forgot a piece of jewelry on the table when we left...the lovely server caught up to us across the street to return it. Highly recommended. Visit this restaurant...you will be glad you did.

We had such a lovely experience at this amazing bistro. The food was delicious and the server/owner was so helpful and gave us amazing tips for our trip. Honestly, I don’t have one negative thing to say and would come back again. We had the mushroom toast and the lobster Benedict for breakfast and we are planning another trip up to St Catharines in the fall which will definitely include breakfast here.

  • 5/5 Lola R. 6 months ago on Google
Interesting place in an odd location, bit of a sketcy neighborhood. Do not park in the plaza across the street as you will actually get towed (they are relentless, not even a ticket, just a full on removal). Food was excellent, service was great. The look like they really love what they do and gave great attention to detail. It was expensive so unfortunately we won't be able to go very often except for a treat.

Literally the best breakfast I've ever had in my life. No exaggeration. We had the Monte Cristo pork belly sandwich. Omg. We live an hour and a half away and we are going to come back just for the breakfast. So good. Very worth the trip. Highly highly recommend!!!

  • 5/5 Amber C. 3 years ago on Google
Omg. My sister and I stopped in on our way home. We didn’t get a chance to really look at what we were getting ourselves into. The building is simply a converted house across the street from a grocery store. Inside it was cozy, inviting and it smelled like heaven. Our hostess was an angel, just so sweet and attentive. She recommended the pork belly breakfast and it was the absolute best brunch I’ve had in my life. All the food was prepared perfectly. The flavors were out of this world. The pork belly just melted in your mouth. It doesn’t look like a huge helping of food but it was! I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day and the pleasantness of the experience left me feeling satisfied all day. They are such a great gem. They’re not even that far from Niagara Falls, and they’re well worth the trip.

One of the best brunch spots in Niagara region! It's a small, sweet little bistro that's delivering some heavy blows for sure! The pork belly monte cristo and lobster benedict were to die for. Fantastic taste, perfect portion size and simple presentation. And the service? The host and server were so polite, smart and just pleasent to talk to. Urge everyone to try out this cafe if in the area.

Mirepoix is consistently excellent in every aspect of a restaurant experience. It goes without saying that the foods is superb. The rotating menu ensures that there's always something new to try, while maintaining a few consistent options to ensure there's always something for everyone. The staff are friendly, engaging, and delightful overall. They go above and beyond to provide an enjoyable customer experience. The location is cute and comfortable. It feels intimate, with a lovely atmosphere. They showcase some lovely local art on their walls, which fits very nicely with their overall aesthetic. I have never had anything less than a stellar experience at Bistro Mirepoix. I heartily recommend it to everyone I know.

Small and comfortable. Patio ready for COVID-19. You can tell this restaurant prepared to safely serve you. The food is outstanding and staff is amazing. Kitchen can be slow however the food is worth the wait. This place only serves the freshest ingredients. It can be expensive. Come back to check out their weekly and always in-season menus. It's always changing for the best. For fun, find the little army men guarding this restaurant. Free WiFi. Free parking across the street and street parking nearby. Entrance is only a small set of stairs. May be a minor accessibility issue.
