I was excited to eat here based on the other google reviewers. The disappointment started as soon as we arrived. No parking so hopefully you can find a spot on the street. The prices are a little high, and portions are on small side. Wonton soup left much to be desired. It was like sipping the water you just boiled pasta in and then added herbs for flavor. The wontons were OK but it seems like cilantro is thrown into everything as the main source of flavor. We ordered two main courses dishes, one with medium spicy and one with full. They came backwards so the person wishing to enjoy the medium spice had to endure the full on spicy. Long story short for $73 none of really enjoyed the meal. The thai iced teas were good and the vegetables and herbs were all fresh.

What a find!!! Loved it! Much better food than most of the thai restaurants in GTA. On top of it they have licence to serve drinks. Very welcoming staff. Make sure you have a reservation before going.

Delicious food!!! Really friendly staff This is a hidden gem!! When we went there it was not crowded at all. We tried Calamari and fried dumplings for appetizer, Bangkok style pad thai and a duck curry with rice for the main dish. They are really big dishes. AMAZING food!!! Highly recommend this place There is free parking nearby

Such great Thai food! Some of the most authentic I’ve ever had. The Tuesday special is also such a great deal!

Authentic thai food so far in Niagara area! Their tomyum is very closed to authentic, spicy & sour.

I ordered for take out the Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken green curry, Chicken red curry and a Spicy Basil dish and everything was perfect. I even bought a jar of their in house spicy oil sauce for $5.00. Great portions and great prices. One of my favorite Asian restaurants. All precautions in place for Covid 19,even a foot pedal to open the door so you don't have to touch the door handle, very smart and I've never seen that yet. Always a pleasure, thank you

Spicy Thai has consistency and delicious offerings. Pad Pak, Pad Thai, garlic & ginger gems are all fab. I last enjoyed the cashew nut to go. The peanut curry dressing on the included salad was delish. You'll be impressed. Wish it was contactless, but it's worth wearing a mask to pick up.

The food is really great and the portions are very generous. The ambiance is average at best, and it's not situated in the greatest neighborhood. Parking is very difficult. I would recommend this place.

Wow! Happy to find this local gem! As a former big city dweller we did not have high hopes for authentic Thai cuisine this far from TO….I have never been so happy to be wrong. Appropriate sized portions leaning to the larger side. Truly amazing quality. You can taste the care/authenticity that went into preparing these dishes. Some of the best Thai food we have had.

Food is good but it’s called spicy Thai for a reason! My cashew chicken was supposed to be mild but ended up tasting hotter than medium. If you can’t handle spicy, maybe don’t try the cashew chicken. My husbands pad Thai was mild. So that’s a safe choice. Speaking of cashew chicken, my order didn’t have a single cashew in it. I found that a little weird. Anyway, food was still edible. But I will probably stick to my usual Thai place from now on

Visited for the first time since it was suggested by a friend who lives in the area. My favourite spot for Thai food is Salah Thai in St Catharines. Figured I’d give this spot a try and called them for take out order. The lady who answered was not kind or helpful at all. Wouldn’t explain what the difference is for the lunch and dinner version of the fried rice. Went ahead with the lunch since it included a salad and also a spring roll. Once I got to my car and opened my package of food the portion of rice was so small for the price of $10.99 and was disappointed. Also was a bit disappointed that they use frozen vegetables. I understand it’s a pandemic but for the price point would expect fresh vegetables. Rice tasted alright but was very dry and did not enjoy it as much as I expected it would be. I will give it another try if I’m ever in the area again only because there is a pandemic going on and they deserve that chance once this is over.

My colleague and I were looking for a place to eat for dinner. We stumbled to Spicy Thai by chance and we were glad it happened. The food was just phenomenal. We ordered the basil shrimp and tofu cashew entree. We also tried a chip appetizer, which was on the house. What was great was the spice level. We wanted the meals to be extra spicy and they certainly did just that. This place is a definite big hit.

We were pretty hungry and waited for this place to open on our way back from Niagara. Saw the red door in a photo and the extremely high ratings including that this is the best Thai place. ordered a variety of dishes and spent over $100. This was easier to do than would have liked as the prices were on the higher side. However we tried it out and were craving thai. Had trouble finding parking. Wanted to love it and excited we found a place to grab food on route but each dish we tried did not taste as good as it looked, almost bland. Maybe this was just our experience but would not go back. This place has stopped me from picking a restaurant based on reviews.

We were incredibly disappointed this evening. We realize that with the current situation things are very different for the restaurant industry and we are thankful to be able to have access. Tonight we ordered take out (only way to go). We ordered at 6pm and were told that pick up would be at 9pm. Very late, but we were alright with that. When we arrived to pick up our order there were at lease 12 people in line. Asked our name and then were told it would be at least another hour wait. It would have been so much better if they had just said at 6pm, that they were full for the night and could not satisfy and more orders. They would have had my respect. The difference is now, we waited 3 hours for dinner and then were told it would be another hour at least on top of that. Needless to say, we told them no thank you. We have eaten here before and been satisfies - there are other great Thai places in the region.

Authenticity, I wouldn't know one way or another. All I know is when I stepped in through the front doors everything changed, like I had stepped into another galaxy. The environment took me instantly out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and into an all encompassing tranquility I couldn't have dreamed of just a few steps earlier. Food rocked. Service top notch. Price, quite fair.

Nice place to get some tasty curry and other Thai dishes. Their curry has just the right amount of spice. Very flavourful. I also love how they serve rice in the shape of a pyramid. My favourite is the green curry. Also the lettuce wraps and shrimp crackers are so good.

For where this place is located, the food is incredibly good. You can’t come here from Toronto, which has millions of immigrants, and expect to get the same level of authenticity. Everything tasted great. Service was excellent. Price was reasonable. Things marked spicy are actually spicy.

Stopped here after some wine tasting. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Staff is very knowledgeable and were able to accommodate vegan diet. We ordered the veg spring rolls, drunken noodles and green curry . All of these were spicy (we love spicy) and extremely well seasoned. We finished off with purple rice pudding for dessert. I am still dreaming about that dessert and will likely have to come back just for that!

Absolutely amazing restaurant we happened to chance upon! After a nice hike in Niagara, we were looking for a hearty meal and ended up at Spicy Thai. We were blown away by the variety of flavors and pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness. Our highlights were the Tom Yum Soup (🤤), Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay, Spicy Thai Noodles, and Panang Curry. They are able to make any dish vegetarian without fish sauce which was a bonus for half our group! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious Thai meal in the Niagara region. Thank you.

I like Tom Yum soup to be a little more sour, but their Tom yum soup with shrimp was still good. The Jasmine rice was perfectly cooked. I love it!The pad Thai was great. Will come soon.

We visited The Spicy Thai in St. Catherine's on Saturday evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had the Pad Thai and the Spicy beef. We asked that the Spicy beef be mild and we found it was spicy enough but not overly so. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and helpful. I would definitely go to the Spicy Thai when we are in St. Catherine's again.

Finally tried this place. Would definitely go again. And again. Good sized portions on main menu. Stick to that or you’ll leave hungry. Everything had subtle flavours, fresh ingredients, nicely presented. Relaxed ambiance adds to the enjoyment. On-street parking not an issue but it’s a questionable area so afternoon may be best time to go. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We went as a family, I parked, I got out and went to get us a table. Came back to unload the kids and then realized we were not in the most safest part of town. There were quite a few sketchy characters walking around and I immediately put the kids back in the van and drove off. The restaurant did have great reviews, but the rating is more for its location vs the restaurant/meal itself.

We went for lunch. The place is nice and cozy. Host/server was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and for a change, the spice level was good. The homemade chili oil was spicy and added good flavor. Highly recommend this place and we will come back again when we are on this side.

The best service we have had in YEARS! We were there for dinner on December 11, 2021 and I can’t express how lovely the staff at Spicy Thai are. Absolutely incredible, warm, kind people. And the food is amazing. Great for celiacs as they have lots of gluten free items to choose from that are sooooo delicious. We travelled 2 hours to get here and we will go back again and again. I could not recommend this place enough. 11/10.

Incredible service, staff, food and restaurant. We were running behind on our reservation due to weather delays and they held our seat. The food was delicious with generous serving sizes at an affordable price. Highly recommend this place and the coconut soup!

Spicy Thai is a staple in our takeout (or delivery) arsenal. Their food is always fresh and tasty. When we've opted for delivery, they've been incredibly accurate with their delivery timing even though they do deliveries in-house (not via a third-party like DoorDash's delivery network) and when we do scheduled pick-ups the food is always hot and ready. I highly recommend.

Ordered lunch. Lady on phone is rude every time I call. They dont like you asking for any customization. I asked for no oyster sauce and she said they cant do it unless its an allergy, Food is good but they make you feel guilty for asking a question.

Spicy Thai is an amazing local restaurant that has been in the Niagara region for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately I can’t dine in but am happy that they are still doing delivery during this pandemic. Tonight is my anniversary with my girlfriend and our first date was at spicy Thai so we are happy to order in some tonight. Keep up the great work!

We got Spicy Thai for take out and it was fabulous. The food is so fresh and the flavour is perfect. We crave it again just a week later! They did not skimp out on the chicken and shrimp in our dishes. Despite being quite busy in the restaurant when I picked up my order, the staff were super friendly and made sure I was taken care of. The only downside is that take out is pickup only! But I still wouldn't change that 5 star rating because it is worth the drive. Thanks for a great meal Spicy Thai!

All the Thai flavours are spot on, with options to have each dish spicy to your liking. Well portioned, reasonable pricing and The presentation when your dishes comes out...is amazing. There are so many dishes to choose from. Reservations is a must as this place gets busy. The staff here are super friendly and are attentive to every detail. If you can’t eat in, order take out. A must try if your looking for authentic Thai cuisine. Best Thai restaurant in Niagara. Parking is bit hassle but you can park along the sidewalks and walk.

Great food! Cozy environment. Not quite enough rice for the amount of curry. Curry and wonton soup were great! Pad Thai was pretty saucy, was average.

  • 1/5 Clive L. 9 months ago on Google
Really disappointed. Just got home to find the pad Thai tasteless. I’ve been here before and it was good. They also gave me and charged me for 2 rice sides when I did not ask for it. The curries looked like soup and sugary definitely diluted and Aweful. Charged me $83 for 2 pad Thai dishes and 2 chicken curries.

Price: $34.50 total (for this price 1 person cant eat in Toronto (maybe in the mall) Location: Restaurant looks lovely from the inside and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Did not expect food so good from a place so unassuming. Went with the friendly waitress's recommendation and had the Thai basil w/ beef. She warned me about the spiciness of the dish. It included rice. Heavy on the bamboo side but very flavourful and delicious. Major kick to it. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!

I lived in Thailand for 9 months a couple of years ago, so I am picky when it come to Thai food at home but this place definitely has my approval! The best Vegan Pad Thai I tried in GTA 👌 plenty of veggies, properly soaked tofu, freshly grounded roasted peanuts. No spicy, which was perfect for me. The stuff was accommodating and managed to prepare my order earlier than initially promised. My personal recommendation: grab a takeout and come to Charles Daley park (9min drive) to have your dinner with a view. Just perfect.

One of must go to places to eat in St Catharines. The food is amazing and authentic. Ordered the appetizer “Spicy Thai Sampler for 2” which had a bit of everything. My favourite was the Summer Salad Roll. Would definitely get this appetizer the next time I visit. I had ordered the “Bangkok Style Pad Thai” for my main. It was delicious, the amount of food was generous. I ended up having leftovers to take home. To finish off the dinner had ordered the “Mango with Coconut Sticky Rice.” Which is amazing!!! The mango sweetness complements the coconut sticky rice! They have an amazing lunch specials during the week.

Wonderful little place in the downtown area. We got there right before the dinner rush, and were pleased to experience the cozy atmosphere the restaurant offered. The crab Rangoons were delicious and crispy. We both ordered the drunken noodles and they were phenomenal. Beware that they do pack in the spice, and I made the mistake of asking for my plate hot, but that was just my mistake. The portion size was huge as well, so I had plenty for lunch the next day! I will be back soon. Such a wonderful spot.
