Came here with my boyfriend for our first date, the service and atmosphere is good and there's a wide selection of beers on tap and delicious pub food. After a year, we still come here Its a good spot for cyclists to stop and grab a bite too.

Great place on the shores of the port. Amazing ambience and best of all it is dog friendly. Also the Beef DIP- must try! Only critique and I know it’s not really the restaurant but if there was solution would be great - is the bugs and mosquitoes. But the amazing service, great music, spectacular staff and finger licking good food makes up for it!

This place was a regular stop that I looked forward to visiting weekly before the pandemic. During my recent visit, the food and atmosphere was good but the menu is very small compared to the old one. I don't recall ever going to a pub that does not have wings! If you put a few more pub fare items on your menu like wings and chilli, I will come back. FYI - I've heard the same compliant from others.

I love this place. Beer could be colder. The garlic shrimp was so tasty. The fries are to die for. A good solid lunch spot.

If you like good food this place might be for you! Friendly staff, good food all at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for?

Found a great spot that serves good food and offer perfect portion sizes. The Reuben was excellent and the fries were also crispy and hot. Great patio for a beer on a hot day; and the staff was really nice.

I ordered the Lone Egg Sandwich for brunch. The price point was great, so I was really excited. The waitress told us that the business was new to breakfast food, so I can understand the issues they had. However, I still expected a higher quality sandwich. The menu's description is a 'fried egg served on white toast with a side of ketchup.' The plate that arrived for me was a simple egg on white Wonder Bread. No side of ketchup, but instead a side of fries. Based on the description I would have expected an Egg Sandwich on a non-mass-produced slice of bread. Maybe something from a local bakery or a white piece of bread that was fit for a sandwich. I also would not have expected to have pub fries. For the future, I hope that the restaurant is able to invest in some more hearty bread for this sandwich and create a more appropriate breakfast/brunch side. Maybe even some greens on the side or some fruit.

Giving this a 2 star because the waitress was very nice. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t. We love this restaurant and thought we would try it since ownership changed. The chicken Brie sandwich was cold and the avocado sauce was old, and grey. It was Tasteless. The fries tasted like heated up old fries. The fish was over battered and tasteless. Such a let down as this used to be our favourite place.

It's been a few years since I was here. I liked it then and more so now. New menu offers a variety of great selections. I had fried chicken sandwich and my wife the honey garlic chicken fingers. Both were fantastic so we're the fried pickle spears we had as an appy. Service was quick and friendly and the pricing reasonable. We sat on the patio to enjoy the cool street vibe but if that's not your thing it's quite cozy inside for a pub. It will not be another 3 years before we return. I fully recommend.

It's been a very long time since I last visited the Kilt and Clover because I now live abroad. The owners have done a great job with the interior - it has a pub vibe that makes everyone feel comfortable. Our server was personable, knowledgeable, and timely. She made suggestions regarding the menu and did so in a very positive way. I gave 4 stars for the food because we had appetizers that were very good but not a "wow". In fairness, I should visit again to try the main courses. Overall, it's a lovely spot to go to meet friends and enjoy time together. I would recommend it highly!

Really good pub. The nachos were delicious. Great selection of beverages including a cider on tap. Very helpful staff. Too bad they didn’t have the s’mores for 2. Maybe next time.

I enjoyed the patio at the kilt for lunch. They actually have several great vegan options and I had a hard time choosing. I ended up with the potato wrap. It was delicious. The people I went with had the fried chicken sandwich, chicken fingers and fires. The children both had the chicken fingers and they are very picky and rated this there new favorite restaurant :) Great food, service and location

Perfect spot to stop into when heading down to Port dalhousie. Whether after the beach or after taking a stroll on pier. The kilts the servers wear really make it that much better as well. Food is pretty good! It's your typical pub food. Would like to see more Irish options on there. There used to be a Sheppard's pie which is no longer an option. As well as some more Irish drink options. Servers are friendly. One of my favorites I believe her name is Hannah. But they are all awesome! Usually very attentive to their tables. Drinks usually never run dry.

The food was great but the best part was the service. We didn’t catch our servers name but it was a gentlemen with curly hair. He was busy with a lot of tables but still made sure to check-up on us multiple times and make conversation. When our food accidentally came out wrong he took it care of it. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!!

I visited The Kilt and Clover with a friend. We chose our own booth and were shortly greeted. We were able to find what we wanted quickly and the server was friendly and gave great recommendations. We shared dumplings (enough for 3-4 people, so we had leftovers), then I ordered the delicious fish and chips, and my friend had the turkey and brie melt. Both were excellent with just the right amount of a subtle yet novel twist for it to stand out. While it was quiet and cold outside, the atmosphere in the restaurant was conversational and cozy! Overall, very satisfied, and I look forward to returning with a bigger party.

WOW did we have s good time! Great laid back pub feel and personality. Many cold craft beers on tap, with wines and cocktails available too. But the beers were very enjoyable. We were very hungry and food variety covered so many bases. Everything from salads to beef and fish. I had the Ruben sandwich with the fries ... a great sandwich large and tasty. The others in our group could not finish there full meals. Do yourself a favour , stop by for a drink, say hi to the boys.

Went today around 3:00 for small birthday celebration. Few people inside but the guy was slow to take our order. Food was acceptable, only the burger great but fries were old and reheated, missing the freshness and flavour. We visited this place last summer and love it but this time was not worth it our money and time.

Positives: Great vibe, server was very friendly and my food was okay. Negatives: When my guest arrived, the server didn't bring my guest their drink and completely forgot and so they didn't bother ordering food and we just left. Scotch tasted very watered down for the price. Not sure what happened there but I was kind of surprised, I'd recommend checking on that. I'll give them another try again in the near future as the servers were very polite and I'll update my review accordingly. Cheers

I was super surprised at good the food is here. I'm not a big fan of pub food, but this was not the typical menu. It was fantastic! And the coffee is amazing. My only complaint is that it's a bit dark at the tables.

This is my second time here and I have too say the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. The staff is very friendly, extremely efficient and punctual. The food has been very appetizing for all of our orders and has been made to order. It is dog friendly so how can you go wrong. For us it was two thumbs up.

We just enjoyed the Cobb salad, Reuben sandwich and spinach dip, takeout. The food was wonderful, and ready on time. Each dish was a unique interpretation of a classic, executed very well. We highly recommend the Kilt and Clover for either eat-in or takeout.

Staff were friendly, they also had a kids activity while we waited for the food to arrive. Portions were large and the food was great.

We Came for lunch today. Had lunch on the patio. Our server Blair was smiley and informative. With many beers on tap she was able to help us make our choices. We ended up staying longer to try a few extra beers. They have a thing called “buddy beer” where your able to buy a beer for a friend. If they don’t come for it in a few months the money is donated to charity. Love the idea. Will definitely be back.

I love this Irish pub. Small cozy spot on the inside but it is fantastic. Live music sometimes, local beer and the poutine is out of this world!

New ownership kept some of the same feel, but definitely cleaned it up. Food tasted good and they're supporting local breweries and food suppliers. We will start going again for sure. No longer worried about food poisoning from the kitchen.

The kitchens and toilets absolutely needed cleaning up but sadly the entire soul has been stripped from this place. Wanted to love it again but alas a new local we will find. Food is mediocre, no specials anymore and would prefer my food served on a plate and not a chopping board, with so many scratches in it I was totally put off. Pie and chips on a chopping board with gravy???? Bizarre. It's pretty empty most evenings now the main tourist season is over. No connection to the community anymore and this was the hub of Port. I know the owners want to do a great job so perhaps inject a bit of the old soul please and we'd come back. Thank you for considering. All the best.

Atmosphere and service was great - friendly and quite prompt. Drinks were excellent, and the Lock St Lemonade was a great drink with a twist. Only complaint: the menu items we ordered were sub-par, including way over cooked in one dish and flavorless due to the amount of (obviously) Frank's Red Hot sauce in another. Will definitely be back, as I think this was a fluke day. Drinks and atmosphere, plus kind service were too good to not give it another chance! *EDIT: Increased to a 4-star from 3-star because of the prompt and excellent customer service response from the owners!

Staple of Port Dalhousie and a "must go" for any local, it's a comfy and fun place to hang out and have some bar food. Their trivia night is crazy fun when they have it, and the bartender knows their way around cocktails if you're not into the big line of beers on tap. Fair prices too. Go, it's a St Catharines rite of passage!

Nice atmosphere. Food was great and very plentiful. Would have been so much better if the weather had not been so hot. Wait staff was very friendly. Had a great time with my guy.

Great Pub with a good atmosphere! The Kilt and Clover Burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, served with perfectly deep fried french fries. The coleslaw was lacking and tasteless, and the mayo they use has little to no flavour, but everything else was phenomenal, including the prices and service. I will definitely be visiting more often!

The Kilt & Clover was one of my favourite restaurants to go to. It has recently been reopened under new ownership. I am not gonna lie, I will miss the old menu. The atmosphere is great, the patio is great, the service was great, but the new menu does not measure up. I had a chicken sandwich with brie and guacamole. It was served cold which surprised me. It was OK. The fries were great though. I miss their old pot pies, and the bowls that they used to serve. Great place to sit and have a beer though.
