Not at all a good experience in this restaurant. The management (owned by a Gujarati lady) is super aloof about serving customers. Asked for hot sauce, gave us an empty hotel. Coleslaw was pathetic. Fish fries were cold. Cost was $70 but was worth $7. Wished can give 0 star.

Crispy fish n chips. So tasty and fresh. Clean facility and washrooms. Weekends can get very busy. Staff are very friendly and kitchen is quick.

If it was possible to leave negative stars, I would. So, it's not worth the time or money to go here anymore. Years ago we used to go and it was great, that was not this time. Went here for fish and chips on a Friday night. The service was slow and not really friendly. They didn't have items that were listed on the menu. The cost was a bit high compared to the food that was served to us on a tray. Made us feel like we were back in school. Small pieces of fish with a small handful of fries. We had no coleslaw because it is NOT included with fish and chips. You have to purchase it separately for an additional $3.00! Had to find a server to even get lemon wedges that were supposed to be included. I'm so disappointed with everything on this trip. Will not be returning. Also, while we were there, other people came in, sat down, received no service or acknowledgment, and saw what was served to us, so they walked out. This place is definitely not worth your time or money!

A wonderful dining experience we truly enjoyed the food and the customer service was simply excellent not to mention absolutely succulent food with great portions thank you Joey's five stars!

Is this what you call $14 worth of seafood? Absolutely unaccepable. And absolutely insulting. You should be ashamed for even sending this.

Service was alright, not the best. Coleslaw was terrible. It didn't taste fresh - tasted like it was at the edge of its best-before date. Fish and chips were a good portion. Their house tartar sauce tasted much less like tartar sauce and more like thousand island dressing, certainly not to my personal taste.

Ordered 80$ worth of food, for whatever reason they cancelled our apps, I called and spoke to them and was told nothing was cancelled and we would receive our food no issue. The food arrived with "Extra" containers containing 10 sweet potatoes fries, 1 small piece of Cajun Salmon with a few bits in the bottom, and a box of calamari that was soggy and like chewing a tire. When I called to inquire I was told that "I" was the one who cancelled the apps. Very disappointed with the service and the portions for 17.50$ for 3 apps.

Went there with my family, she was so kind. Also food is delicious definitely worth it!!

The Cajun Combo is probably my favorite restaurant dish of all time. And the staff at this location are wonderful.

Sadly not the same. We used to go here when we wanted a good meal of fish and chips. Recently revisited the restaurant and were very disappointed. Under new management and not a positive transition. We dined in for lunch and it was “so-so”. I had the crab bisque and asked for saltines which our server then fished out of a separate container - unwrapped and stale. My husband ordered the 2 piece haddock and chips. The fish used to be large enough to share and the condiments were on the table. We had to ask for everything - cutlery, condiments after our food was served. The fries are apparently “unlimited” but our server didn’t mention this until the dishes were removed. The overall appearance of the restaurant is run-down and dirty. When it was under different ownership it always had a clean and welcoming aesthetic. Very disappointed as it used to be one of our faves - will not be returning.

My family has been loyal customers for years however when the fish portions were reduced to half portions and prices were increased we knew it was the beginning of the end for us...too bad. Great staff, great atmosphere but portions suck.

10/10 everytime. The fish is so good and so fresh. They had a special of coconut shrimp once and they were absolutely amazing I seriously think you guys should put it on the menu permanently. This is definitely my go to fish and chips in the Niagara Region. I love it!

Very friendly and fast service. Lots of parking. Would have loved to see 1pc fish meals as 2pc is too much. Chicken bites could have used more flavour and spice. Walls beside tables and the floors could use a wash.

I ordered the 2 piece Haddock. Food was decent. I’m not exactly sure why the coleslaw was 3.00 extra and no lemon was served with the meal. Kind of weird in my opinion.

First time ordering from this restaurant. Really enjoyed the flavours in the shrimp tacos. I don't like Chipotle sauce, so asked them to skip it. I was afraid they would lack flavour, but they were juicy and not greasy at all. Garlic mashed potatoes could have used more garlic, but were light and fluffy. Lobster and shrimp grilled cheese was delicious. You have to order the gravy for the fries. It was awesome - like that really unhealthy but wonderful stuff you get from old school chip trucks.

Went there today for their monthly 2 for 1 special which they have had for a few years. No more without the "coupon". O.K. didn't have one so we ordered from the menu as follows: a 2 piece fish and chips with coleslaw, a 2 piece fish and chips no coleslaw, and a 1 piece fish and chips. What we got for the first item was 2 pieces fish and coleslaw and no chips. The second order was correct as ordered. Never saw the 3rd order. Asked the new "owner/server" to put chips on the first order and were met with a blank stare as if he didn't know what we were talking about. At that point we just walked out. I certainly won't be back here. Too bad for them. I would not recommend this place for their fish and chips. .

I was there. Never ate a thing. I had a water. Tap water. My wife ate fish chips she says it was alright.

Excellent place to be if you love seafood. They offer a variety of high quality seafood which is hard to find in a restaurant. Restaurant has ample space to sit inside and is very well maintained. They offer takeout and skip-the dishes for now due to covid , however wait once the restrictions are lifted off. It would be an awesome place to hangout with your friends and family. Big Shout-out to the owner for his excellent and top-notch customer service which is hard to find during these times.

Me and my boyfriend went for dinner here, he had the fish and chips , I had the coho salmon and it was amazing! The salmon was moist and tender and crispy which I love. We will definitely be coming back . Also we had the deep friend mocha for dessert , that was also delicious!!

Had a wonderful lunch today at joeys served by shraddha, let us know all the specials and served us with a smile the entire time! Very impressed with the new menu, good portions and amazing tasting fish like always ! Thank you for the great experience.

Had Cajon combo, blackened snapper and shrimp. Beautifully done. Broccoli was perfect. Rice pilaf, light and lightly flavoured.. 2 thumbs up! Not fancy, but a must do!!

We have been ordering here for years, paid 100.00 for xmas eve dinner and im not sure what changed but it was awful, the fish was full of oil at the bottom of all the boxes, the fries were mushy and cold and we didnt receive any tatar sauce or coleslaw, only giving 1 star because the food was ready on time i guess all good things must come to a end sadly

Skinniest fish I’ve ever seen lol. If you ever feel like eating the skinniest fish you’ll ever eat, I highly recommend this restaurant. Restaurant overcharges for pop. Cannot see the price on the receipt. Something “fishy” going on in here!

New to town and looking for good fish 'n chips. Went to Joey's for take- out and was very happy with the food. Batter on haddock was very light and tasty, not greasy. Chips were well cooked and the mushy peas were a nice surprise. They were not busy at the time so did not have to wait long, and staff were very pleasant and helpful. This could become my regular take-out spot.

Had the fried fish and shrimp. Shrimp was delicious! The calamari was great, too!

Food is really good and friendly service. Definitely will be back.

Kim was an excellent hostess. We were a family of 10 and she showed great customer service and accommodating. The food was amazing as well.

Came to Joey’s from Miami FL. We happened to stumble on this gem after googling “Restaurants near me” so thankful that we found this place. The host was amazing and very nice. The food was amazing! Like beyond amazing. Get the salmon! Trust me. I’ll definitely come back if I vacation here again. I hope he gets the costumers he deserves.

Apparently new ownership. Small smattering of fries vs what Joeys was known for (tons of fries) is a bit of a surprise. Water (ice?) tasted like a dank, musty basement. Table did not look wiped clean. Ladder leaning against the wall. Just felt sketch vs the warm, bright cherry days of plenty from years ago. Fish was hot and tasty, but smaller than I remember. Fries quality were fine, just very few. Chicken and popcorn shrimp were very dark. Chicken bites had some cool centers. Guy who I think was the new owner (or just manager?) appeared to be giving it a sincere go, but we won't be going back.
