Located behind the big bee on Lake st. and Lowell avenue, this eatery offers a variety of homemade Caribbean dishes. I ordered the small oxtail and small jerk chicken. The oxtail had too much bone and not enough meat. My rice and peas tasted like they were made two days ago. The jerk chicken was flavourful but dry like my aunties heels. There’s not many Caribbean restaurants in the Niagara region. You should cook with pride and show you care a little more about your business.

Ordered up 2 large oxtail tonight with rice and peas and it exceeded expectations! The food is always good from Caribbean Eatery, but tonight was on a new level of good. Little extra spice was so nice and the plantain was a nice surprise in there. This was exactly the comfort food we needed 👌

Only got the small jerk pork but it was Very flavorful, they use nice cuts of meat. Rice and peas was delicious and the fried plantain is a nice touch. Only thought was with tax comes to $13 and some change. For me Portion size is quite small. Also On this day service was very slow. Give a pass because it was lunch time.

Ordered med jerk chick dinner & was super impressed with portion size & food was delicious. Only complaint was that order taking clerk could be more personable & friendly.

This place tastes nothing like traditional Roti. When I took a bite into my chicken Roti I chipped my tooth on a bone. After inspecting the chicken inside I found several large leg bones. Never have I had Roti with bones in it(goat in the Carribean maybe) When I returned it the owner told me I should've ordered boneless. He replaced it with one that was flavorless, had 5 potatoes and 6 chick peas in the mix. Never again

Had jerk chicken and ox tail. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. Not the most friendly or the cleanest. Kinda run down inside. Would not go again.

Amazing food served by friendly staff in a modest location. Visited with 3 friends and we were all very happy with our meals. Would absolutely recommend.

Ordered fried chicken meal with white rice and gravy. The gravy is somethings different. It is truly delicious. Wow. My family loved it. The chicken was a bit dry but nice light flavour. Plantain we’re still crunch and sweet. Rice was a little over cooked in some places but mostly right. Definitely better than jam rock.

Good morning, yesterday I visited the place with my wife. We were very excited to try the food but unfortunately the attention was horrible. The boy looked at us with contempt and didn't take the time to explain or sell his food, he also left us alone in a rather rude way. Personally, I don't recommend the place for the attention. The food is good but not extraordinary. I think there are better places where customer service is excellent and you can enjoy your food without worrying that they look horrible at you.

Must have arrived at the right time! We got there around brunch after deciding to try a carribean restaurant with decent options for myself specifically and ended up trying this location first! The quality was amazing (dining in), the service was great but the prices were relatively high although considering current inflation it was fair for the size. Definitely recommend it!

Forgot about this gem since moving out of Niagara. Was pleasantly reminded with a superb chicken Roti the other day. Made fresh and hot was delicious and authentic

Good portion sizes for the price and great food. Had the oxtail and the jerk chicken and both were excellent! I will definitely be going back :)

I’ve been here several times. The food is pretty good but I will not be back. I went there a few weeks back and there was a young man working there and his finger nails were disgusting.. but I was like maybe he cooked something and it’s food. I went back again and the same young man was working and again his finger nails and hands were so dirty I lost my appetite. Idk maybe the kids a mechanic on the side.. either way I don’t want to see dirty hands when I’m picking up food.. I will say the young man was very polite but after this experience I won’t be ordering here anymore.

It wasn't great. Kinda expensive for what it is. The food (fried chicken and jerk chicken) arrived very boney and soggy due to bad quality takeout containers. Soup was also very disappointing and bland, beef patties were cold in the middle

Just had the roti. Was good, wasnt a big fan of the wrap they used for it. But the flavour inside was good. I never know if the intention with goat is to be boneless or not, so there was some bones. But ive experienced that elsewhere too. Overall would recommend again for trying other dishes. Would like it spicier though.

To be honest I have had better. I had the jerk pork and it was tough .. Basically I think they are microwaving the meats to finish cook. The coleslaw I had was not made that day because the cabbage was an off colour. But I guess to each his own .

Good Caribbean food spot! The food is great but you may have to wait longer than convenient at times. I would recommend ordering ahead of time as many people came in and picked up the food while I waited for mine. I also received expired salad on 2 occasions which is a bit concerning.

Absolutely the BEST! they are unbelievably friendly and the food is delicious. The owner is hands on and makes me feel like a celebrity when I walk in!

Great customer service. The food was on point. I got the curry goat and the jerk chicken meals. The portion sizes were a lot! You get what you pay for. If you're from Toronto (GTA) and you happen to be in the area definitely check this spot out!

Food is very tasty, service was good.. Some items are a bit pricy but overall I recommend trying it if you like, or would like to try authentic jamaican food. Take out is available but they have tables if you care to eat in.

Coleslaw was standard, plantains were good! We were craving doubles so tried a new place out, they don’t carry doubles anymore unfortunately:( not their fault at all though. We decided to order 2 the boneless chicken roti and 2 Jamaican patties, came to $40 a bit expensive but again not their fault, they’re other food might be good but their roti was not :( I’ll probably go back for a Jamaican patty, they were hot and flakey:)

While visiting tacky Niagara Falls we read a review in Facebook. So we tried it. A little out of the way but it is too die for. Curry coat was marvelous. We will go again when in the area.

First time having Jamaican here in St. Kitts. Originally from Scarborough the home of Caribbean cuisine. The service was welcoming and the food was delicious...reminded me of the Pelau shop in Malvern. Beef patties were so tasty, I wanna go back an buy a dozen. Boneless Chicken Roti was perfection and the plantain was a sweet treat at the end. I highly recommend Caribbean Eatery and I will be back again and again!!!

Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, great food at good prices. Fried chicken was delicious, jerk was mild and flavourful and the roti chicken was prob my favourite although it was a bit too spicy for my girlfriend, it was perfect for me. We ate like kings the last few days, def going to return!

Third time ordering from here. Food is tasty and of good quality. Only disappointment was jerk pork which was very dry and lacking flavour.

  • 1/5 Moe A. 2 years ago on Google
Called in asked for ox tail with white rice, what they give me fat and bones no meat. They didn't ask me if rice and beans are okay since they don't have white rice. So they assume that I'm okay with rices and beans. Just eat the food for me..

Tried Caribbean Eatery today for the first time. I was craving Boneless Chicken Roti. It was delicious. I brought lunch over and shared with mom and dad. Both enjoyed the roti. We ordered again for dinner. Had the fried chicken and jerk chicken. Both were very good. I want more and can't wait to try them again. Thank you chefs great meal. Katie, mom and dad
