A huge thank you to Kim & Geoff for providing a one-of-a-kind experience in this exquisite historic home! Under new ownership, Geoff & Kim have immaculately restored this home over the past few years. It is evident the passion they have for this special home and the hard work, dedication, and thoughtfulness they put into each room and detail. Our room felt luxurious with the extremely comfortable bed, Nespresso machine, Samsung frame tv & dyson air dryer. Located less than a ten minute walk away from downtown St Catherine’s made Springbank House the perfect stay. Kim had us going to sleep dreaming of what was for breakfast as she is a fabulous cook! Geoff entertained us with his historic stories of the house, his family, and his grandfathers art. And we can’t forget Ella their Bernese pup who was there to great us each day! We hope to be back again soon.

Beautiful old home. Wonderful, waterfall shower in antique claw-foot tub. Yummy fresh-baked croissants for breakfast. Thank you Andrea for being a very welcoming and accomodating host.

We stayed there this past weekend Aug 21-24 since a close friend recommended the place while we were visiting them. we go to St Cathrines very often & usually stay in one of the 4-5 star hotels in the Niagara on lake but this time we wanted to change it up , well, boy are we ever glad !!! five star hotels have nothing over them ! I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled and pleasantly surprised we were with everything at this place. Everything I wanted to write about Springbank House , I think everyone else has written in their reviews but I have to add you must ignore any of the reviews that were written 4/5 years ago since it was a different place, owned by different people. From Geoff’s passionate welcome and explaining the history of the place and every single painting, and every detail in the house, to our furry friend Ella, and and beautiful Kim who is an amazing hostess, and a great cook everything was beyond our expectations! we wanted to pack the grand and cozy front porch and take it home with us and take the bed & bed sheets and put it in our bedroom … These world travellers are very hard to please at times, but Springbank house will be our place to stay when ever we are visiting Niagara from now on, and we will recommend it to everyone . Thank you for making a beautiful home for us all to enjoy !! Afsoon & John

What an amazing find! We stayed at this incredible home twice this summer when we went to concerts in Niagara on the Lake. (15 minutes away). Springbank House itself is so comfortable, interesting and welcoming. It is an incredibly restored historical home, with every modern amenity imaginable. What makes is so very special is the welcoming hosts. Geoff is so proud of his home and it shows. We arrived and were greeted by Geoff in his kilt and were given a tour and an interesting lesson on the history of the home. The rooms (there are three) are gorgeous and comfortable beyond description. They have sitting rooms, all luxuries, magazine quality washrooms with top notch products and the most comfortable beds. In the morning Kim spoiled us with the best breakfasts ever. I have never experienced such an amazing meal even in the best hotels. I have attempted to recreate these breakfast dishes. Thank you Kim! From the location, the hosts, the house that feels like home…flawless. And their fabulous pups too! Yes, if you are a dog lover you will fall in love with Ella and Ridley. Springbank House has been very highly rated in the B&B guide and deserves to be. Yes, we will be returning. Do not miss this gem. We will be back!

We stayed at the Springbank House for one night while visiting St. Catherine’s for an engagement party. It has been immaculately restored and furnished/decorated with nothing but the best. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. It is very clean. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this over a hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in the area. I’d also recommend staying more than one night to really enjoy the property and the surrounding areas.

Upon your arrival to Springbank house you are transported back in time to a quaint and cozy residence that shows it has been meticulously restored and cared for. Ella the resident fur covered security will make you feel safe and loved. One of the standout features of our stay was the delicious breakfast that Kim prepared each morning. She is a true master in the kitchen and each meal was a culinary delight. Impeccably dressed, with a wealth of knowledge Geoff ensures that you leave knowing more than when you arrived. We really enjoyed our hosts as well as their adorable dog. They were warm and hospitable hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more during our stay.

If you’re thinking of staying at the Springbank House, I highly recommend!! I could go on and on about how amazing my stay was, but I’ll try to summarize everything up. Firstly, the rooms are amazing! My suite was so beautiful and spacious. Springbank has the beauty and charm of a bed and breakfast but takes it a step further with an amazingly decorated space. Honestly, I could have been locked in my suite the whole time I was in St. Catharines and I would have been perfectly happy! Secondly, and probably most importantly for me was the food. I’m vegan so I was worried about staying at a bed and breakfast but Geoff, the host, assured me that they could work around it. Not only did they accommodate me by preparing vegan breakfasts, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that the breakfast they prepared was amazing! Probably one of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve ever had. A huge plus was at night they left out these vegan cookies which were to die for! Lastly, the hosts, Geoff and Kim are amazing. They helped with any concerns I had, were super sweet and knowledgeable about the area, and are truly real life angels. They really made my stay worthwhile. So, if you want to stay somewhere that has beautiful suites, delicious breakfasts, and with amazing and accommodating hosts, I definitely recommend Springbank House.

Okay, so we booked this B and B so we could be close to the venue for STP concert at the Meridian Center 11/11/2018 and it was perfect for our needs since our daughter and her wife live in there. We didn't care about lack of TV--i just brought my macbook to watch stuff if we wanted (although from other responses, i don't see how hard it would be to have a television in the rooms because we literally didn't even know that other people were staying, it was that quiet--maybe put a sign saying to turn down volume on the TV after 9 pm or something?)-- we were basically just staying because it was the closest to the venue and our daughter. When we checked in, the proprietor was nice, gave us the tour, we were very happy with our room which was very clean and better than expected... However, we confirmed our check in by phone would be between 4-4:30 and the room was FREEZING! Thank goodness i had a shower prior to arriving --i literally kept my winter coat on while doing my makeup/hair because it was so cold and we called twice to ask on heat. My hands were cold as ice and i was shivering in my boots! I do understand that the place is older ( a radiator system controlled elsewhere for the bedroom and the bathroom) but it was barely pumping out anything before we left. My hubbie said that this was just slow to warm up and we were in a time frame so i agreed. THEN we get back from the concert, freezing! I was buried in all the blankets, fully clothed when he got back with hot coffee in the morning. The shower was excellent, room excellent but i would only stay here again in the Spring or early Fall. We left asap in the morning and i was actually asking on late check out prior because we wanted to do some things before we left but i could not get out fast enough. Get some heat people for the Winter months and this would be great!

We had a wonderful stay here. The location and the house are absolutely beautiful -- furnished with the intention of giving you a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely go back. Very nice, warm and welcome hosts; thanks again Andrea and Stefan.

The hostess was very polite, friendly and helpful. She gave us the option of paying for our room via etransfer to avoid paying resort fees which saved us $20. The inn was also situated within walking distance to the downtown area which was convenient. However, the negatives greatly outweigh the positives of the inn. Though it looked cozy and quaint in the photos, when we arrived we were a little disappointed. The interior of the house was kept to be in-line with the style of houses in the early 1900s which is neat for people who are into that sort of thing. However we felt that the bedrooms and some of the common areas of the house felt a little creepy. I guess because of how old everything was in the house, everything from the floors to the furniture creaked. Every step you make would cause the floors to creak. Our friends also stayed the night at the inn and they left early the next morning because they couldnt handle the creepiness of the house. The rooms didnt have many plugs or a TV which we didnt mind but to others these may be important amenities. Most importantly there was minimal security for your belongings so I would not bring many or any valuables with you to the inn. The front door remains unlocked until 1am in the morning which would've been fine had there been locks on each bedroom door. None of the bedrooms had any locks, they only had door chains which meant you had to be inside the room to somewhat prevent the door from being open. So if you decide to leave the room with all your stuff inside, anyone off the street could walk in and access your stuff. The worst part of our stay happened at 4am in the morning. I woke up and laid in bed debating if I wanted to get up to use the in-suite washroom when I heard the door open. My boyfriend didnt stir so I though it was just my brain making things up. I decided to go use the washroom and checked the door on my way back to bed. Much to my horror, the door was partly open. Had we not used the door chain, it may have been completely open. I'm still not sure if someone tried to open our door or if the door slipped open on it's own for some reason. Needless to say I had a hard time falling back to sleep. If it wasnt so cold outside, I would've dragged my boyfriend to the car so we could continue sleeping there. Its unfortunate our first experience at a bed and breakfast was so bad. I dont think we will be staying at one again. Our room was also $170 for one night which I think is too high. No part of our stay could justify that price. For an extra 30 dollars we could've gotten a room at the Western. Though it wasnt as good location wise, it woudlve been a much more restful night.

Was in St Catharines for a night and stayed at Springbank Inn. The house is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. It was a nice quiet neighbourhood close to some great trails if you like to walk, run, or bike. Our host was very hospitable and served us coffee (or tea) in the morning. If you ever find yourself in St Catharines needing a place to stay I definitely recommend it.

A beautiful house in lush nature setting. A spacious king bed room (a mini apartment, really), decorated in antique style. Absence of TVs provides a distraction-free, restful environment. If pool is important to you, ask upfront because it seemed to be drained and out of service when we stayed.

I don't usually write reviews but feel that I just had to after our stay at SpringBank House on October 19th/23. My husband and I were wonderfully surprised at the beautiful (stunning) home, with such attention to detail in maintaining the home as close to the original as possible, but also providing all the modern amenities. Geoff and Kim are fabulous hosts, taking the time to explain the home and the history. Our room was decadent, with everything we needed plus more. The bed and bedding were pure heaven, as was the bathroom. I even took time to have a luxurious soak in the original deep claw foot bath. I can't recommend this B & B enough. We can't wait to go back and spend more time in this beautiful home with amazing hosts.

Geoff and Kim are the best!! Pictures do not even compare to how beautiful this bed-and-breakfast really is! My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary to see Niagara Falls. The Springbank house is only 20 minutes away from the falls and so much better than staying in a hotel. They are also only 20 minutes from the wineries. My husband and I both love history so we found the history from the house to be so interesting! Geoff and Kim gave us a tour so we could learn all the tidbits and details about the house over the years. They made us feel at home and such sweet personalities!! I’m an outlander fan so when Geoff served us breakfast in his kilt I was so excited!! It totally made my day!! Kim outdid herself with preparing us a mouthwatering breakfast with overnight oats and waffles with bacon. You won’t leave hungry… The food is delicious.!! There was a magazine in our room, where the bed-and-breakfast was featured on the front page with a very nice spread giving all the details. I can see why this was featured at Christmas time, it’s just breathtaking. Each room has its own private bathroom and living/sitting area. They have put a lot of thought in energy into picking just the right mattresses, sheets, and pillows to make your stay comfortable. This place is breathtaking and I highly recommend if you’re looking for something extra special!!

What a beautiful home and incredible, warm & welcoming hosts! They have renovated this home to take care of every small detail - making you feel invited and cozy from the start. Kim and Geoff are so kind, so interesting and truly go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. The breakfast was incredible - 5 star level cooking and service. We loved enjoying the cozy living room, fireplace and wrap around porch in the house and truly felt relaxed. Plus it's just a short walk to the downtown area of St. Catherine's. It was a perfect weekend getaway - and we will be back!

We came through Canada on the way to suburban Albany to move our son into his first apartment. We finished our trip with a stay at this lovely bnb. Geoff gave us a warm welcome along with the history of the home. Kim chatted with us on the front porch after a great dinner at Pharmacii. Ella gave us many warm and sweet doggie greetings every time we re-entered this beauty of a home. Can't wait for breakfast and coffee. We will return for sure:). With gratitude.

The hospitality during our stay was outstanding. Upon arrival we where given thorough and truly interesting tour of the house and it’s history. Our room was UNBELIEVABLE (the magnolia suit) , it was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was to die for , with its penny floors. The windows where big and beautiful where you could see the beautiful old street below. You could also make yourself coffee or tea in the morning . We where comfortable watching movies in a robes all weekend. The decor was stunning ,so thought out and very intentional. We got a beautiful breakfast every morning, with multiple courses, coffee , tea etc … we have never had such a beautiful breakfast. Thank you Kim ! Also they have the cutest dog who would greet us everyday. Kim and Geoff are great hosts and are very knowledgeable about the area. Would absolutely recommend, I’ve never had an experience like that before! Thank you !

Springbank House is on a short, quiet leafy street in downtown St. Catharines, with easy access to Hwys 406 and the QEW, close to Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake and wine country. The property is under new ownership. Kim and Geoff have totally renovated this grand home and gardens. The decor and furnishings are superbly tasteful and in keeping with the architecture. The wood-paneled billiards room is a nice touch. Our suite included a very comfortable bed, a cozy sitting room and bathroom, with all the amenities one could want. Breakfasts are spectacular not only look great but taste great. The owners are extremely helpful with advice on everything you need to know. We really enjoyed ourselves on my birthday visit and look forward to staying here again.

The springbank house is probably THE BEST B&B I have ever been to and is so fairly priced. Cannot recommend this place enough it is a 10/10! Building and rooms: Beautifully renovated and immaculately clean. And I mean immaculate. It’s an old mansion whose charm has been fully preserved through its recent renovation- best of both worlds. Rooms are beyond gorgeous, spacious, cozy, smell amazing with fresh flowers, gorgeous new bathrooms and the beds feature the softest sheets I have every slept in. Saje products, Coffee machine and even a SOUND SLEEP MACHINE was in my room - beyond impressed at this thoughtful touch as I’m a light sleeper! Breakfast: Banger breakfast- delicious and beautifully presented, I believe there were 3 courses (oat/chia/coconut parfait, fresh croissants & jam, gourmet omelette & bacon , tea/coffee/juices) - my mom and I thought we were going to burst. Your hosts: The owners Geoff and Kim are wonderful, kind, welcoming people that made us feel truly welcome and went above and beyond for us- thank you both so much for an incredible time. Your efforts show with how well maintained your inn is and how you feed your guests :). I will definitely be coming back here and would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for the ultimate boutique yet classic b&b experience! If you’re in Niagara or St. Cats and you don’t stay here, I’m sad to say you’d be missing out!

Springbank House was the perfect getaway! We are so grateful to have found this gem of a retreat and cannot wait to go back. It recently opened under new owners and the house went under the most gorgeous renovation– each room is restored to its original historical look and feel, yet all of the most luxurious modern day amenity are included: spa face masks, fresh flowers and a Dyson blow drier in the bathroom; Nespresso machines, snacks, and a comfortable bed with luxious sheets, a pool hall with a wine fridge… the list can go on. Geoff and Kim are the most amazing and hospitable hosts; they truly do cater to the needs of their guests and make the B&B experience so lovely. The breakfast in the mornings were divine and it really felt like a home away from home. Not only did this feel like we were stepping inside an oasis it was so perfectly located where you can go to wineries during the day in both Niagara on the Lake and Beamsville region. We absolutely loved the new Springbank house – and can’t wait to continue to enjoy the “home away from home.”

Friend and I stayed here for the Born & Raised concert and it exceeded all expectations. When my wife picked me up after we got home I think I spent more time talking about Springbank House than I did about the concert. Beds? Awesome. Rooms? Awesome, spacious, and gorgeous. The breakfast every morning was some of the best food that we had -- even after some heavy libations we always made sure to wake up for it. What really tied it together was the couple who run the place, though. It's a lot like staying with your cool aunt and uncle because they're really invested in their guests having a great time in and out of the Springbank House. Just to give a quick example of the above & beyond hospitality, they had these awesome cookies that they baked for us and set outside of our room after every night of the concert. I've been to a few bed and breakfasts in England and they don't even hold a candle to this place. Honestly amazing, I can't praise it enough. Hoping to take my wife out to St Catherine's now mostly just to spend a more romantic time at Springbank House!

My daughter and I stayed here in late August 2022. I have never stayed in a nicer place than this. The host agreed to stay up for us and gave us a warm welcome on our late arrival from an event. This historic house was beautifully renovated 2 years ago with antique furniture, persian rugs and historical paintings. We stayed in the Magnolia suite which was so spacious. The bathroom was beautifully renovated, the bed was super comfortable and we had a restful sleep. An espresso machine is there for you and treats if you cannot wait till the morning. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh croissants, overnight oats, an omelette and other home made food and we were full for a good part of the day. Geoff and Kim were very hospitable and made our stay incredibly pleasant and memorable A big thank you and we will be sure to return and are highly recommending this place to others.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating, area is very nice with lots to do and good places to eat. My only complaint is that the room doesn't have a TV.
