If you love pies, you got to visit this place. All produce used is local and seasonal. Peach season in a couple of weeks. They do savoury stuff also. Good, friendly service. Only issue is the sign. It is much too dark to read even in the daytime. You might miss it if you are not using a driving app.

This used to be our favorite place to stop for lunch when we were in the area. Guess it's time to find somewhere new. We drove to the new location today, out of our way since we were actually headed to the Falls, and with more than 3 hours until close, and were told the the 3 sandwiches in the case were all they had left, for the 4 of us. All of them had cheese on them, so I guess I just can't eat there anymore with my allergy, since it's all premade now. I guess they're giving up on the cafe part in favour of alcohol and pastry. Shame, I really liked their food.

Freshly baked pies are just the beginning! Delicious sandwiches, quiche, tarts... All made on the premises. Coffee, tea, beer, water... Quench your thirst and fill your belly. There's a door opener but the space to gaze at the treats is narrow... My walker fit but i don't know if a scooter user or wheelchair user would be able to manoeuvre. Can't speak to the washroom accessibility.

A great place for a casual bite! Everything is prepared fresh with local ingredients. Local beer available in the fridge, serving coffee brewed with locally roasted beans. From pizza to pie, you won't be disappointed. There's a door opener but not a lot of room to manouevre. Not sure if the washroom is accessible...I'll check it out next time!

Famous for the pies. Tried the croissant and lemon meringue which was great. Coffee was meh. Staff was very courteous and amazing. Cute little place.

Currently there isn't a sign out front to indicate this is the location. Came for a first time visit. The space is small with a few seating spaces. There is also a patio area out front. Most of the options of baked goods available today were sweet. We tried the tomato and gouda tart with a mixed green salad. The salad portion was generous. We bought a rhubarb custard pie to bring home. The pie is not only beautiful but also delicious. The addition of the merengue is a lovely combination. There is a small fridge near the entrance with drinks, cold cuts, and cheese. This would be a great spot to get some snacks for a picnic while out in the area.

Tried the Pie Plate today on a whim, while looking for a quick bite to eat and coffee for lunch. Very clean establishment, staff were quick, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also has a good layout for seating. Everything looked fresh and homemade, prices were a little high, but that comes with the cost of quality. Coffee was great, also tried the frocaccia cup n’ char pepperoni pizza, amazing, light, crispy and freshly made. We tried a few of the pastries and cookies as well, overall excellent. There was a steady flow of customers in and out during our visit. I would highly recommend you stop by. We will be back again to try some more of the menu items.

Amazing bakery! Lots of delicious, fun treats. Had a pizza slice with a green smoothie. Really good. Got a pumpkin cake slice and a pumpkin pie to take home. One of my favorite bakeries in Niagara.

Interestingly last year when we visited the area the Pie Plate became a destination spot for us and we would have rated it 5 stars for the pizza and deserts. This year we decided to try sandwiches instead of pizza - big mistake. Small portion, no side such as chips, and really expensive. The pie was still good - we tried grape pie and were surprised by how good it was. Moral of the story - go for the pizza or deserts and skip the rest - unless you want to spend a lot for little value - no one should spend $40 for two and leave hungry.

We went to the restaurant here twice - once for lunch with no pastry, and once for just a snack of pastries to go - both times it was really good. The seasonal salad was amazing. Only knock was that the sign was easy to miss when we were driving through town and so we had to circle back to find it after we missed it driving past (coming at it from the north-east, travelling south-west).

1 item for 2 selections... and horrible for the price. Only thing good is the rootbeer.

Don’t understand why there are good reviews. Stopped in for coffee and pie - after all it’s called the Pie Plate - at around 6pm after visiting the Niagara region and before heading home. Very surly, rude service from man behind counter including refusing to sell four slices of pie to his patrons even though he had two pies left. Would only sell the entire pie at the outrageous price of $24 which we could eat in and take rest home. We thought it must be the best pie on the planet but, alas, nothing special and nothing like my grandma’s homemade pies. Have had better $10 pies from the grocery store. Dark and dingy interior, uncomfortable seating. Very disappointing, especially for a region that relies on tourism.

We were leaving NOTL with a last stop at The Pie Plate, it was a Sunday afternoon craving for a slice of pie that brought us here as a first time customer. We were late and unfortunately they sold out their pies by the slice, so instead they gave us a whole pie to enjoy. Baking is an act of love and Pie Plate personifies kindness, warmth, and delicious pies, we were honoured to experience their exceptional hospitality.

We loved this cozy place. We were hunting down a coffee to get for our trip back to Toronto and came across this. Family run, very cozy and tasty coffee.

This review is solely based on their pies as I haven’t dined here for a few years. I absolutely love their pie crust, very flakey! And their fruit pie fillings are filled with flavour. Highly recommend lemon meringue and cherry

Just visited this place for first time with a group of girls. We came from out of town as we heard good things. Pie was good but service was absolutely awful. We felt like we were bothering them with our presence. Save your money and time

We stopped for coffee on a recommendation from a local, and we weren't disappointed. The coffee was great and the nice owner included an apple turnover, it was delicious.

After visiting Niagra Falls, we stopped at a few wineries in the area and we decided we needed to eat something to counter the wonderful wines we had. I found The Pie Plate on Google Maps and talked my wife into stopping. We had a couple of wonderful sandwiches for lunch. But, the butter tarts were unbelievable! By far the best things we ate during our 4 days in Canada. Tried to find a comparable butter tart in Toronto...to no avail. If I had known, we would have bought a dozen!

Enjoyed a slice of the delicious Asiago and artichoke pizza and the hubby had a very tasty sausage. Shared a chocolate peanut butter for dessert with 2 cold brews. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Ah-mazing!!

Stopped in for a coffee and croissant. They had brie stuffed croissants... Maybe with jam too. It was so delicious!! Nice atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant for a coffee, brunch or pastry!! Stopped here for food and drink before a big day exploring the Niagara region. We had the pre-made egg & pastry bowls which were delicious (Kimchi & one other). The pastry on them was amazing. Coffee was good too. Definitely worth going to for a casual breakfast in the NOTL region!!

Delicious pies with a home-made taste. Lots of store bought pies and sweets are excessively sweet, but the ones here had just enough to go well with a cup of coffee. Highly recommend

I’ve always enjoyed anything we’ve purchased there. Their butter tarts are amazing. I try to order them weekly….they are addictive! Staff is friendly and happy to see you.

Good food, gorgeous atmosphere, cool staff! Had a good Americano, drip coffee, smoked salmon bagel on their in house made bagels, and a sweet potato and leek pot pie! Food was tasty and the staff was super nice! We were passing through town and wanted a snack, so this was a lucky find! I would much rather giving money to someone local instead of Tim's or McDonald's!

You gotta eat here it’s fantastic!!! Some of the best food we had in NOTL! The pepperoni focaccia (aka pizza) is amazing, crunchy and soft at the same time, full of flavour, we shared a piece, but could have easily had more. The greens, salad is also equally as good, the vinaigrette is sweet but not too sweet and full of flavour. The chocolate cream pie is to die for, yuuuum, the crust on its own would have been a tear, flakey and not cheesy, perfection, and the chocolate filling and whipped cream made it perfect

Super sweet spot. Great staff. My porchetta brie sandwich had great bread. The porchetta was a dry roasted pork loin. Needs more fat and flavour. For a 14$ sandwich a hand full of salad or pickle on the side would be great! Fish tacos 11$ for two. Needed more fish. Maybe some sauce on the side.

The food here is fantastic. We make an effort to stop in every time we're in Niagara, with the turkey sandwich being our favourite. We ordered the sandwich and it was $18, a 30% mark-up from what it's always been and from what the menu showed on Instagram (this was taken down once I told them). A $14 sandwich is already fairly pricey, but $18 is a bit ridiculous. The service was also terrible, which was disappointing. We ordered, paid WITH TIP, then sat down outside, and were never approached for water, cutlery, napkins... nothing. We wanted to get a drink and I went to get a menu for drinks inside, so they knew we wanted to order a drink, and in the 30 minutes we were there (it was not busy), we were not served... I even tried going into the restaurant, waited for five minutes mid-eating and was ignored. Undeniably fantastic food but overall extremely disappointing, expensive experience.

Best pastry ever made with scrumptious Niagara peaches. So tasty that 4 of us are the entire pie in one sitting. Add vanilla ice cream.

Spent a few days in area last week. I made/begged my wife to go here three mornings in a row. Well, lunch one of those days. Anyway, I wish I could give 10 stars. Amazingly good. Super friendly people. Treat yourself to a great experience. Go to The Pie Plate.

This is a small little restaurant with great pizza. They're known for their baked goods but in the evening it seems like the kind of place you could go for a drink. Although most of the seating is around the bar with a small little real on the side

Best croissants in Canada, maybe that is hyperbolic, but honestly love them from The Pie plate, butter and folded a thousand times.. best croissants.. but their other selections are as good if not better.. dinner and a cocktail, the true measure of the place, is how good things taste at night against the flavours of the morning.. 5 stars

Omg....went here for the first time and decided to get the pizza of the day.. when they told me it had potatoes on it I almost cancelled my order, but I decided to try it out...and I'm very pleased I did! Best pizza pie I've ever eaten! I highly recommend this place

We used to come for the specialty pizzas for 10 yrs and it's the 2nd time we're disappointed. My $22 pizza had barely any toppings and no salt. I don't mind paying for good food but this wasn't it. Far too expensive for what you get...
