Too expensive. Right across from Walmart supercenter. Identical prepackaged goods ranging in cost from $4-10 were shockingly an average of $1-3 more expensive than Walmart. There has to be a limit to corporate greed. I guess they are still in business because of shoppers that do not care or don't know better that still Shop here !

Check out lanes can get long. Self checkout lines can become confusing. Only store under this name without digital price tags. There is constant confusion with pricing and slows down checkout. Get it together management. Staff are present and helpful. Digital scale for produce available. Free WiFi. Dining area upstairs. Clean Washrooms but dim lighting. Good accessibility all around. Elevator available. Clean Facility. New renovations are great.

We always get great produce at the store. Bread's baked at the local bakery are great. They also have one of the best variety of ice creams. Overall, it's a well managed store with fast self checkout lanes. It even has a wine store right outside of the checkout counters that sells Peller estate and Wayne Gretzky wines.

I would normally give this store a 4 or more rating. Yesterday I was there and needed to use one of the mobility carts as I hurt my leg. A nice employee named Dan helped me get one. It said fully charged. The cart was terrible and extremely old. Half way done with my shopping the cart just died! A nice lady came and helped me by pushing the cart to the checkout. I paid for my groceries and once again the nice young man Dan came and put my bags in a shopping cart. I would think the store could afford to replace these old carts. I decided to go to another store to finish getting the rest of the items I needed. An eye opening experience...If I had not injured myself I wouldn't understand what handicapped people go through in that store.

Vegetables are not fresh and over priced for dry, lifeless thrown away vegetables even animals would refuse to eat. The same vegetables are available cheaper and fresh at freshco.

Superstore is clean and there is a wide variety of produce and products. The prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores . However CustomerService is hanging on by a thin thread. Some employees seem to be unaware of the fact that times are changing and there are mixed population of people in St Catharine. I don't shop there anymore, too much blatant rudeness and unwelcome behaviors from some employees. I now shop and buy in bulk elsewhere once every 2 months. No more headaches, no more am I treated like the lowest , most insignificant being, spending my hard earned money at Superstore. My buck stretches and I shop where customers matters.

Cool home stuff all the time, especially nice Christmas & seasonal decorations. I like the healthy food section for gluten free items.

I like this store because it has a big beauty department and 2 floors plus the chicken is AMAZING (5/5) but this cashier I had last Thursday around 4pm this older lady cashier with short hair near the end of the lanes closer to the beauty area was irritable and was very short. We would ask questions like "hows your day going." and she would respond with "need bags." and it was just a very uncomfortable experience.

i like to shop here because of good food quality and sometimes sale prices are good. Layout is neat and easy to browse. One of the few places where they still do price match. They should make PC points program more rewarding though.

Like to shop st this store. They have a wide variety of products in every department. Their Organic section is amazing, the Bakery has a wide selection too. Produce is fresh. On occasion I have asked for certain items and they were helpful. The atmosphere is lively, the place is clean and service good. There will always be some items more expensive here than other places, but then they also have many Specials. It balances out.

Great grocery store with a lot of choices, good prices (what's a good price these days right) and it's huge. Only thing is everytime I've been here, the cashiers seem so grumpy and unwelcoming. Superstore needs to screen their cashier applicants better and give an annual customer service training session.

Lots of products to choose from, great big store with a fantastic layout! Oh and the $1 bread they have is so fresh I bought 5!

Most expensive grocery chain in the province. I'll never understand how a store brand product like President's Choice can be twice the price here than at Zehrs or No Frills. Though it's nice to have a big selection of cookware and clothing available, I go here only when I have no other choice.

We frequently buy our groceries here but today (WedJan31) at checkout #1 at 11:45am (I didn't catch her name) the associate was the best. I've had a lot of very friendly staff at this location but the woman today stood out! She was personable and kind, and even the other customer ahead of us left smiling and we all had a chat whilst loading up our groceries! Even said the cutest thing as we left "Keep on smiling you guys!" An Absolute Sweetheart!

If you are single, couple or even small family this chain is awful. Want something on special have to buy 3 of them. Want half decent meat products, have to buy family pack. Just a few weeks ago you could get 10% off the 3 bags of milk packs... If you bought 4. This is an unfortunate trend at more places and what is worse is statistically people buy it even if they have to dispose of last portions of items cause they are bad or stale.

Best grocery store. Great value and good staff. The store is big, clean and organized. They have a good mix of no name, and presidents choice brands. Great mix of self check out and regular lanes.

Was visiting from out of town. This Superstore is quite big and offers a large selection of products. The produce we picked up was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and easy to navigate in and out of the store.

I am sick and tired of buying produce from this store that over priced to begin with and the find out the bag of potatoes or carrots is rotten or goes bad way to quickly. With the millions they're making off us it shouldn't be that hard to make sure we get top quality products. I am going to make every effort not to shop at any of Gallen's stores again.

Real Canadian Superstore is a large retail grocery chain that offers a wide range of products and competitive prices. The store provides a convenient one-stop shopping experience, with a variety of departments to meet your household needs. While the overall experience is positive, some customers express a desire for more prominently displayed promotions to enhance the shopping experience. Despite this, Real Canadian Superstore earns a solid 4-star rating for its extensive selection, affordability, and convenience.

I do enjoying shopping in this store but wonder when it became acceptable that non-service dogs are allowed where I buy my fresh veg , fruit or any other food? I am afraid of dogs to begin with and the hygiene aspect is highly questionable.

I typically like going here but lately I have seen prices fluctuate so much that it’s aggravating… one week a bag of pretzels is 4$ the next week it is 8$ how does this happen ? The sales are for people who buy a lot … I don’t need 3 containers of yoghurt just do a regular sale… it’s getting worse and worse and on top of that some staff are just rude. I’m hoping to find another grocery store soon

  • 4/5 M G. 1 year ago on Google
I usually order groceries for pick up. The staff are friendly and the wait usually isn't too bad. Occasionally get a few items I didn't order and sometimes the produce expires quicker than I would like, but overall I am happy with the service and use it every week.

Always love the Superstore besides the fact that they have everything they offer price matching and are almost never out of oroducts. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist. It's called the Superstore for a reason.

  • 5/5 Karen . 1 year ago on Google
It's under a bit of construction but not impacting the shopping experience at all. What you need, they got. Literally. Also, Walmart is right there to help alleviate the cost too. It's a Saturday ritual. Walmart, then Superstore. And I still forget something.

There is very little to complain about here. I've been going to this grocery store for more than 10 years and I find that their service and selection is excellent. They offer price matching against a variety of competitors, which makes this place a great one-stop shop. The people who work there are always friendly and eager to help you out, Although I do regularly see some staff with their mask below their nose. Hence hence the 4 stars, not 5…

Wish we had a Superstore in Fort Erie?! Loved the one in St Catherine's. Had a Big Canada Day party, and purchased alot of my party supplies here. Lots of items to choose from 😊 Bought a couple of dresses from Joe Fresh. With gas prices the way they are, we need a Superstore here. Ridgeway/Fort Erie needs another supermarket 😟👍🙏

The customer service desk had no one working .. it’s middle of the day 530 or so afternoon and I had a quick return to do for which I had to wait so very long!’ By the time there was a line up at the desk but noone came.I asked a nearby cashier who just said ‘Someone should be there soon’ -she didn’t call none or did anything. The employee at self checkout called someone a couple times. It’s rush hour and no one cares to come to the service desk.! This is a first I had such a bad experience we all have busy days and this is the last thing we need. At the end the same employee from self checkout had to come and help.

Shopped at GCSS this morning. Met a newly hired young man named Tyler. It was his first day! He was personable, efficient and did a great job! Shout out to the colleague who was training him… she was really patient and a good role model👍🏻

I found some really nice things in the Joe Fresh area of the store but the lady that was working in that area was really rude to me when I asked to try them on. She told me that the change rooms closed in 5 minutes. But the store was open longer. It was like I was inconveniencing her. I was not impressed. But the young lady at the cash was really nice and helpful.

We’ve shopped here several times, since moving here a few months ago. Layout is generally intuitive, although the prepared foods is partially hidden by a pillar. The produce seems generally fresh, and with a decent selection, but lacking less popular items. Because it also carries clothing, housewares, etc.., they have turned the dry and canned goods sections to run parallel with the cash, like a Costco. Not sure if this aids in alleviating lineups or not. All in all, a decent store with decent prices, but it looks a little tired and run down. I’m not sure if it’s the facility or the lighting, but it has a dreariness to it, that doesn’t reflect positively on the experience as a whole.

I love Superstore! I always shop here because the prices are great and the staff are very helpful. I am giving this location 3 stars because their club size chicken has been out of stock for about 2 months despite it being a flyer feature multiple times. I would recommend calling ahead if you are going for a specific meat to ensure they have it in stock.

Very nice place for all sorts of shopping needs. Great staff and always clean and people seem respectful. Mr. Harvey is a real help and happy face.

I’ve been shopping from this location for the past year and I’m so happy how clean, organized, managed, the entire store is and how the staff are very friendly. I like the self checkout points, though they are encouraging people to bring their plastic bag but having the bags next to the checkout points would be nice besides that it’s a seven stars location

Very good selection. It's a big store but whatever you're looking for they have a wide selection. And good sales too

Bad experience here this afternoon. Employees are rude especially this one lady wish I got her name but she had a shirt red bob like hairstyle. Not worth my money I spent for the lack of customer service and the rude attitudes they have here because they hate there jobs. Drive to Zehrs in Welland. Super nice caring staff and they help you with bagging when you have a big shopping.

  • 4/5 Paige M. 2 years ago on Google
Always very busy near the end of the day, if your in a rush, DO not even bother. Self checkout after 2pm is usually decently packed and they only ever have like 2 people as cashiers. The line has been from the candy all the way down to the frozen and dishes area. Shop here earlier in the day. Although they have a great deal for chicken wednesdays and it's always great quality.

Great store. Love it. Cheaper than I thought. Prices are very similar to No Frills and they have a bigger selection. This will be my new grocery store now
