No tickets needed. Very awesome experience for kids to see wildlife. The zoo area is kept very clean and maintained very well. All the animals looked happy and kept lovingly. Nice grand walk to the pond and lake. Tons of ducks to see. The kids playground too has updated everything and is a joy for the young ones and their elder guardians alike. Parking does get full but can park along the road.

Happy Rolph's is a wonderful animal farm to visit for all age groups. My mother and I like to grab coffees and go for walks around the whole park. It is always very peaceful and well maintained. There is an animal sanctuary that is quite enjoyable and a new playground has been installed that made me want to be a kid again! It looked very fun and interactive. Whether you want to go on a family picnic, see the animals with your friends, or have a cute date, Happy Rolph's is a happy, easy going place to be. * no photos of the playground, new picnic tables, or many pics from the farm because I couldn't capture much without taking photos of other people's kids! *

My family just returned, and we had a wonderful time there today. It is amazingly clean, and well-maintained. The animals look healthy and happy, and cared for. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed you the freedom to roam the grounds. There were lots of animal displays, a very large brand new state-of-the-art playground for little kids, and several walking paths, including a tribute to people who had lost their lives. My only complaint was that they didn't have a donation box for me to leave some money to help with the efforts. What a great discovery!

I can't believe this place is free, such a cute initiative, the animals are very well cared for, they have cute stuff up for Halloween right now and also for $1 you can get a huge cup if duck feed to take down to the lake around the corner. Donations are welcomed.

Went here for a picnic, hike and to look at the animals. It cost $2 a cup to feed the ducks. There are washrooms, picnic tables, trails, and a park alongside the sanctuary. You’re able to scan a QR code and donate. Bring water as there are no water refill stations.

We were pleasantly surprised to find Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm with free parking onsite and no entrance fee (donation by choice). This was a low obligation way to get the kiddos out seeing animals (no big entrance fee/whole day commitment that you'd end up doing for other zoos). While there aren't a ton of animals (like you'd have at the bigger zoos), there are certainly enough to enjoy up close and personal. My kids LOVED their playground! It was a tractor theme with plenty of interesting things to climb, touch and do. The other lovely feature of this farm is all the green space! Bring some balls, a Frisbee, bubbles etc and take advantage of the large areas to just roam and play. Pack a lunch because there are plenty of tables and shade so you can eat on site. Bathrooms too! Another must: Stroll the 911 remembrance walk with a gorgeous view of the lake. Plenty of ducks & geese to see and make sure to spot the gnomes along the way.

Visited Happy Rolf's Animal Farm with my grandson a few days ago. I found the place had been upgraded as far as the number and quality of the animals and signage goes. No feeding of the animals is allowed presently. The office is fenced off as is the playground that is almost fully reconstructed. The place is well kept and grounds beautifully manicured. I visited two times in a few days. First time parking lot half full. Second time hardly a parking spot available. Parking is free as is the entrance fee. Lots of young families, mothers with baby strollers second day. The visiting of the animals takes about 15 minutes. No dogs are allowed where the animals are located. However, continuing past the public washrooms there are pathways towards the duck pond and down and around the lake where you are allowed to walk your dog. At the lake there are several options for paths. To the right, up a small incline is the 9/11 walkway. Trees, benches and signages were placed here 20 years ago to commemorate the victims at the North and South Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York City. Continue along and take another right to the roadway that leads you back to the parking lot. This is a lovely outing for families and some people pack a picnic, but limited picnic tables. I would recommend this venue, for all ages, but particularly for young families.

Great place for family fun! Lots of slides and park amenities for the very young to the slight older kids. The animal farm is beautiful and showcases a big mare horse, donkeys, llamas, turkeys, ducks, chickens, and a big hog! The duck pond is a great attraction for everyone. Lots of canada geese, mallards, catfish and goldfish. We even saw a night heron. Corn food is available to feed the ducks for $1 a bag. The forest and 911 memorial trail are beautiful. Take notice of the dedicated trees to those who lost their lives, a great view of the lake alongside, and a huge canadian flag. Picnic areas in full abundance, lots of room for soccer, games. Your family will love this place - ITS FREE TOO!

Happy Rolph's Animal Farm is an absolute gem for families looking for a delightful day out. While the parking space may be limited, don't let that deter you from the fantastic experience that awaits inside. The first thing that caught our attention was the well-designed playgrounds, providing endless entertainment for the little ones. They had a blast, and it allowed us to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. The farm itself is truly charming, with a diverse array of animals to interact with. It's evident that the animals are well-cared for, and their happiness adds to the overall joy of the place. Our kids couldn't get enough of the petting sessions! We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-maintained everything was. The staff clearly takes great pride in ensuring a pleasant environment for visitors. Moreover, the abundance of seating areas throughout the farm made it easy for us to take breaks and enjoy the beautiful views. Overall, Happy Rolph's Animal Farm is a must-visit attraction for families in search of a fun and educational experience. Despite the limited parking, the farm's many offerings make it more than worth the trip. We'll definitely be coming back for more memorable moments. Highly recommended! 🐾

My wife and I took our granddaughters here. They are 5, 8 and 10 and they liked the animal part of the park. They loved feeding the ducks and geese. After a small hike we played in the park. It was partially in the shade which was nice. The park was very well maintained. Great place for little ones.

If you want to relax, come and visit this place. Well-maintained grass, lots of picnic tables, a beautiful playground for kids, animals for them to see. A beautiful trail for kids and adults to enjoy. I love the view of lakes from the waterfront trails. The best is the no parking fee and no entrance fee. The Washroom is clean and available.

A very nice place to bring young children, but also in general it's just a very nice place to see different animals. I really enjoyed my time spent watching the pigs, the donkeys, the goats etc. The only thing that was off-putting were the goose droppings on the ground, but that's not anything you could keep on top of as the geese walk around quite freely. If you continue to follow the path you will eventually come to the Lake. I sat on the rocks and spent approximately an hour having a nice conversation with a friend. I will most definitely go back and plan on doing it very soon.

Small, yet extremely clean and well kept park with animals to feed. Free entry, but since is a nonprofit, you could donate. Would recommend visiting if in the area. If you love nature, the walk to the coastline is worth it.

A good place to take the kids. There are some animals such as donkeys, horses, cows, turkeys, ducks, etc. The kids can also enjoy the playground and , after the visit, I do recommend the trail along the lake, with banks and a nice view. . What about a picnic there?

Was pleasantly surprised at how kid friendly this place was! My gf, son and I went in the evening as his naps have been later and it was nice and shady. They offer food cups for the ducks ( and geese) for $1 cash. ( DO NOT FEED THE OTHER ANIMALS) the park is extremely cute and does have some accessible parts to it. The look out points across Lake Ontario we’re beautiful. The best part about this hidden gem is its free! You can make a donation though. Only downfall is the parking lot is on the smaller side and I heard of people getting ticketed for parking on the street or other properties nearby.

This is a very nice park. It's got a number of farm animals in nice pens for visitors to look at. There's a good play area for the kids with slides, a small flying fox, plenty of swings. There is a nice path that goes around the park, along the lake and through some bush. We enjoyed spending an hour or two here on the way back from Niagara and would go there again. The only downside was the goose droppings on the pathway and the puddles on the lawn from the very heavy rain the day before. There were still places where people could picnic, but it's worth keeping in mind that it could be wet a day or more after heavy rains.

Awesome little farm with plenty of cute horses, donkeys, chickens, and more! Your not able to pet them anymore but they're still so funny to watch running around in their little habitats! There's plenty of ducks all over too! There's a nice path and gorgeous view of the water behind the park. There's also a playground for the kids, with picnic tables.

We are visiting from BC - a fabulous place to visit! The animals are well-kept and the enclosures are super clean. We enjoyed the antics of Milton the Pig - he was checking out the holes in the ground and then decided to roll a stone around to show us what he can do. Happy llamas, donkeys, mini horses as well as a rescue horse and her colt. The wooly sheep, rabbits and hens were adorable. We took a walk along the woodland trails close to the lake. A wonderful way to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon! We highly recommend Happy Rolph's Animal Farm to visitors and locals.

Nice little spot to take your kids to see some farm animals and they also have a playground and short trails you can enjoy - all for free! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't that busy, so it was easy to enjoy yourselves and take a break away from "city life" for a bit.

Another childhood favorite of mine, a few changes have been made, the petting zoo is no longer an interactive experience with the animals more of a viewing experience, other than the geese of course. The animals seem well taken care of and happy. They've updated their playground, they also have quite a few picnic benches near the playground to be able to watch the kids as they play, or throw an event. There's a beautiful scenic trail throughout the park that looks onto Lake Ontario, very beautiful spot! Also the bathrooms were well kept and are close to the playground as well. We brought our dogs, dogs are allowed in the park and trail areas but they're not permitted to walk through the animal enclosure site. Overall had a great experience and would think about throwing a birthday party there in the summer.

Great couple of hours to spend here small trail with a 150 year old tree... petting zoo and a good picnic spot and a kids playground with swings and slides. The kids will love this place!!! The horses Lama's and the Mr. Rooster with hens are just some of the celebrities of the petting zoo.

We absolutely love going to Happy Rolph’s! The animal area is always well taken care of! The walkway is wide enough for all to enjoy and stroller friendly! My daughter loves the park and it is suitable for all ages with different play structures! Our favourite part is grabbing some duck feed ($1) and heading down to the duck pond and down for a little walk along the water! Such an amazing place to take the kids!

Such a lovely place to visit with younger kids. The animals and grounds are well cared for and it’s such a relaxing walk by the pond to feed the ducks. Great for strollers. We usually finish off with a packed lunch and play at the park. Highly recommend. Nicole -Fort Erie Home Group

Took the scenic drive home from Niagara Falls and had no children with me. I use a rollator so it was just small enough for me to walk around comfortably and thought it would be a great place to bring my great granddaughter. They post the names of the animals, whether they are male or female, how long they are expected to live, etc. Food to feed the ducks is $1.00 for a large cup and the ducks and geese love it. To top it off, it's free. I loved it.

A nice little oasis on the edge of the city. Very well-maintained and clean; well-equipped playground. It is nice to see the animals and the duck ponds.

  • 5/5 Gries W. 3 years ago on Google
The surroundings are appealing but management now has made fences around the animals and one can no longer pet the animals, like we used to, only look. This was done after there was vandalism, not because of ant danger to the guests. My answer as to when we visited was about 2-3 years ago which was not an option from your selection. We have not gone back because of the above comments.

👍👍 Great little valley park that now connects to Port Dalhousie via a long bridge. Beautiful gardens, well maintained, children's park, and grassy & paved walkways. I believe the only washrooms are portable toilets. Lovely choices for picnic areas.
