I
was
with
my
family
and
friends
(5people)
and
wanted
to
sit
at
the
bar,
but
were
denied
by
the
server,
who
said
there
is
not
enough
room
for
5
of
you
and
the
other
couple
sitting
on
the
other
side.
The
couple
graciously
moved
to
the
end
of
the
bar
area
to
ensure
that
there
will
be
enough
social
distancing
between
us
and
them.
Then
the
server
said
that
there
is
still
won't
be
enough
room
for
social
distancing
because
she
needs
to
keep
2
chairs
empty
at
the
start
of
the
bar
for
bartender
to
be
socially
distant
from
us.
We
did
the
math
and
showed
her
and
explained
to
her
that
even
if
we
keep
2
empty
chairs
at
the
start
of
the
bar
and
5
of
us
sat
down
together,
there
will
be
still
2
more
chairs
between
us
and
the
couple.
She
just
wouldn't
listen
to
us
and
told
us
that
you
have
to
sit
at
the
regular
table.
After
we
sat
down
at
the
regular
table,
we
asked
for
manager.
The
manager
(Tess)
started
saying
the
same
thing
as
server
and
we
tried
to
explain
to
her
what
the
situation
is
and
she
kept
on
repeating
that
"there
is
not
enough
social
distancing"
eventhough
that
was
not
true.
After
that
we
saw
twice
that
there
were
people
sitting
at
the
start
of
bar
on
the
first
and
second
chairs
eventhough
we
weren't
allowed
to
sit
on
first
2
chairs
using
the
excuse
of
social
distancing.
The
same
server
and
manager,
Tess,
were
not
even
wearing
their
masks
properly
and
trying
to
explain
to
us
about
social
distancing.
This
was
pure
discrimination
under
the
excuse
of
social
distancing
because
the
norms
were
not
used
for
everybody.
We
feel
this
also
might
have
been
due
to
their
not
wanting
a
group
of
5
brown
people
sitting
in
the
bar
area
and
taking
the
space
of
their
regular
white
customers.
The
first
server
who
sitted
us,
did
not
even
provide
us
with
the
menus,
which
were
then
provided
to
us
by
Mason,
who
was
very
well
courteous
and
attentive
and
we
appreciate
his
service.
The
whole
experience
though
was
a
big
bummer
due
to
the
discrimination
we
faced
at
the
start
and
hope
they
coach
their
staff
that
every
customer
is
equal.
