Far overpriced in terms of food. The cocktail menu was expensive but had lots of creativity, Instagram worthy type drinks. We brought some Korean friends and they were very disappointed in street food being marked up to higher end restaurant food prices. We were told the bigger shares were entree sized, well we all left hungry and stopped for fast food on the way home. A party of 4 shouldn't leave your restaurant hungry after spending well over $200. The pork portion was insulting with how small it was with generic black bean sauce, calamari overcooked, steak barely sharable at $34 and fried chicken was decent. Hope to see you take on the feedback and correct some of the issues.

My friend and I went to Pharmacii tonight and had THE BEST experience! The drinks were creative and delicious and deserved with fantastic presentation. The service was friendly, fast, informative and all of our servers were so nice! The food is sooo tasty, brilliantly presented, creative and skillfully prepared! We had the shaker fries that are an experience in themselves with a wasabi aioli that elevates like no other. The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken lol) is season d to perfection and topped with a wonderful caviar...mmmm! And just when you think the flavor explosion party happening in your mouth can't get any better... we had the Aburi (seared seafood). This tops any dish ever...with it's smokey yummy-ness and just enough salty finish combined with tender salmon and tasty shrimp. Even though our bellies were full who can deny banana cheesecake?! So delicious! I highly recommend this share plate creatively delightful cocktail spot!

The best food experience I've had in Niagara. 20/10. The drink menu and food menu each have unique options that are rotated out. When you order, it's recommended and custom to share with the table. My boyfriend and I loved everything we selected and each bite had an explosion of flavour. If you're looking for carefully curated food and drinks, then you need to try here. We will definitely be back and we are excited to see what there is next time.

O-M-G. This place is to DIE FOR! such a unique dining experience with the most delicious Korean food. The kitchen is quite small so they bring out similar dishes together but it's easier to share the dishes with whomever you're with than eat your own when it comes. It was a great experience. The cocktails are phenomenal yet quite pricey. What's enticing is the seasonal menu and changes to look forward to. . Kudos to the owner, mixologist, chef, and whomever makes this place the way it is.

Went here for dinner and drinks while in Niagara region for the weekend. The service was wonderful, all the staff was super friendly. The drinks are boozy and creative, with great care put into them. We ordered a Pork Jeon which was fantastic, as were the shaker fries. Will recommend this place to anyone who's in the area.

Pharmacii is an asian-inspired restaurant perfect for getting pics for the 'gram. Their creative drinks, fun presentations, and constant change in menu help them stand out from the crowd. Their portions are a bit small for what you pay for, but really if you're going here you probably are doing it for photos anyway so it is worth it. Flavour-wise, their Shaken Fries are super good. They give you some lightly crisped fries in a bag with the spice and wasabi aioli on the side. You then mix the spice into the bag of fries and shake it up. They're really good and the sauce is a perfect mix with it. I also tried the mini and jumbo KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) which were great - just small portions. The meals don't come with any sides so you have to order something else or else you'll be pretty hungry after. The drinks were really great and creative. They even have a machine to make a smoke bubble on top of your drink! Overall, I would say that this place is worth trying but I did give it three stars because the prices were really unexpected, they don't offer takeout, have no menu online (but I took photos), and because they were really pushy with us to finish the food on our plates when we said we had eaten enough. It just made us feel really uncomfortable.

Don’t let the brazen menu essays deter you. Seriously good food and creative cocktails. Playful dishes that pay homage to Korean flavours. Nice shaded patio in the back. Pictured: Thai mojito, Oreo old fashioned, tempura bao, soba tower, gochujang chicken, onsen egg rice. All great.

Got the mini Korean fried chicken and dumplings for the appetizer as well as the beautifully plated beef tatake and bulgogi. The KFC WAS SO GOOD😫😫 it is to absolutely die for. 11/10 one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. The beef tatake was so pretty and tasted amazing, and the bulgogi was filling and just so delicious, so underrated, amazing restaurant with great kind and quick staff as well. THERE is also some very pleasant music playing quietly that gives the whole place a great vibe. The washrooms are like a houses washroom with nice countertops, and are very clean, as well as there being a red neon sign down there which also looks very nice. The place is a little bit more expensive, but if your deciding between east or Pharmacii…. (Pick Pharmacii)

Blown away! We have eaten here several times now, and each meal leaves us happier than the last. When we are trying to decide on a place to eat, we always end up coming back to Pharmacii. This food is on par with any meal from big foodie destinations such as NYC and Chicago. This puts Seoul at the top of the travel list because we want to eat Korean food all the time now!

WHAT A GEM. I loved everything about this place. Love their vibe, their cocktails, their food. So far my favourite restaurant in St. Catharines. The servers are friendly, and the food is amazingly delicious! They have a patio set up outside right now during COVID. Loved every single dish we ordered that evening. I plan to return with more friends this week. Must visit if you’re in St. Catharines!

One of the best places to eat in St. Catharines! The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming, the service was awesome, and the food... WOW! I have never eaten anything that delicious. I’m currently have post-food sadness because the food has been finished and we are tourists from out of town. I would 100% recommend!

The food was excellent, especially the Korean Fried Chicken. But the stars of the show are definitely the cocktails. Not only were they quite tasty, they used different flavors to create unique beverages. The drinks are also artfully presented, like the Paper Crane, which comes with an actual folded paper crane.

This is my favorite restaurant. I go every other week with a friend of mine, and it has become our place. The manager/bartender always makes us feel welcome and makes our day. The drinks and food are amazing, have not found a single thing I don't like. Will be coming here for a very , very long time. Thank you for becoming a staple in the city.

Whoever is supposed to greet us at the front didn’t and left us hanging for a while. Staff passed by but didn’t acknowledge that we were standing there waiting. Finally, we were seated by our waitress (maybe 10 minutes or so) Our waitress was very kind and the KFC was good… However, overpriced for the portions and we waited ✨OVER AN HOUR✨ for our food to come out. Picture is of the JUMBO KFC.

I love this place and will definitely be back. Started with some bubble shots and followed it with bad juju and then one I don’t remember the name of. Everything was so good. The presentation is amazing and good queasily drinks. We had the shaken fries and they’re even better than I had expected even after raving reviews. I want to own that wasabi aioli and have it with everything. Will definitely be back.

This place is top to bottom amazing. Our bartender and server were spot on. My friend ordered a signature cocktail, which was clearly made with nothing but love and innovation. The menu is art on its own. The environment is welcoming and endearing. The food is simply delicious. Everything is served with integrity and class. Priced very reasonable for the quality and distinctive experience you receive. I will return!

I was really looking forward to trying this place after hearing the buzz on insta but it was very dissapointing. The food wasn't tasty and was inauthentic Korean food. As a Korean, this place really sucked, the menu spelled the dishes incorrectly (i.e. Bulgoghi is supposed to be spelled bulgogi), this may seem minor but if you are going to be making Korean dishes (even inspired) the pronunciation of these dishes should matter. It was also difficult to understand what dish you were actually receiving when reading the menu. For example, I ordered a Kimchi Chahan, which was really just an over complicated Kimchi Bokkeumbap. It was bland and there was very little Kimchi taste, was mostly tasting a smoky flavour which ruined the dish. My friend had the salmon dish, the seaweed flakes in the rice had overpowering fishy taste with the salmon. The calamari had a strong fish sauce smell which made it unappetizing. The service could have been faster, we had to wait a bit too late to receive the food. However, the drinks were delicious, and the server was nice. The menu is definitely on the pricey side but I think the drinks are worth the price.

This is a very atmospheric place. There are unique cocktails and some great munchies. It is in the more expensive half, of places in St. Catharines. Gove it a try for something different.

Fantastic experience! The food was mouthwateringly delicious. Standout for me was the Steak Tataki with the truffle and dry egg yolk. We also had the Korean fried chicken and the jook, which were delicious. There were many amazing cocktails.

Hands down one of my favourite restaurants. The food is fantastic and the drinks are always top notch. Honestly the drinks deserve their own modelling career! Not only so so tasty but always have some kind of special look about them. The owners are the nicest people that you just want to see succeed. Almost didn't write this review as places like these are few and far between and part of me just wants to keep it my little secret. I'll be kicking myself if I can't get a table one day.

Lots of great drink options. On the more expensive side but they all have 2 oz of alcohol. I had trouble choosing something so the waitress helped me decide based on what I normally like. Also had the Korean fried chicken which was delicious!

I don't understand the hype. Very disappointed we got 4 dishes and the food was average. Aburi tasted like it just got microwaved and the rice was plain cold. The waitress was very nice and friendly, the wait time however is HORRIBLE. I would say it's because there are not many kitchen staff but just waiting for about 20-40mins for every dish throughout is really bad. Atmosphere and space is cool but honestly for the prices and food it is not worth it.

  • 5/5 sloane r. 1 year ago on Google
Very cool Asian restraunt with creative drinks! Enjoyed the kale salad with nori chips very much! Would recommend. The sauteed tofu and aburi sushi was good too. The drinks are also creative and Instagram worthy. Some what pricey place but "its a vacation spot", they change their menu often and the staff is kind.

I went there with my friends for dinner. The restaurant has a street parking with many empty spot. The restaurant was smaller than I expexted but was cozy. We ordered an oyster plate and few dishes to start. And it took almost 30mins to come out. One of my friend was frustrated and about to express his frustration to the staff. I was also tired of waiting and then the foods were served. The foods were good and tasty fusion style of Korean cuision. But I found many of the dishes are pretty simliar tastes with different types of dishes - sweet and oily. The server was very kind and explains about the dishes well which we found excited about the foods. Worth of trying if you like Korean fusion style cuision.

One of the best spots downtown for cocktails, but not to be outdone by their food. The price is a bit higher, but with it comes great quality and it's well worth it. Smaller place, but the atmosphere is very conducive for casual cocktails and they've got one of the best playlists in town.

Reminds me of dining at a fancy place back in Hong Kong. We got the scallop crudo which was a fancy and artistic feast for the eyes but the real treat was the bulgogi jeon. We also had the KFC taster which was also delicious but didn't make it to the camera roll.

First time here and won't be the last! Matt was our bartender and he was brewing up some delicious, unique cocktails for us! Finally found one of my all time faves, delirium in Niagara region (gives me a taste of our old stomping grounds in the GTA). Had the mango bubble shot - mango tequila (not pictured) and Beware My Power - a vodka based cocktail that I mixed the buckwheat in for a smokey flavour - all up to par! For dinner, we ordered ceviche, steak tataki, and bulgoghi jeon 👌🏽 Hats off to the chef/owner Brian for bringing some GTA vibes to the Niagara region... we need more of this around. Your food reminded me of a proper night out on King Street West or even Queen Street West in the 6ix. What you and your wife who is the other owner that we had the pleasure of meeting (Ashley) have going on here is absolute perfection. All around impeccable service and experience. Ambience is welcoming and classy. Thank you for making our date night one to remember! Looking forward to our next visit. Depending on your personal budget, the cost may be on the pricier side for you. For us, we pay for quality food, quality drinks, quality ingredients, quality service, and an overall, quality dining in experience. 20/10 hands down.

Tonight was my first time trying pharmacii... i am in love! I'm not sure if I was eating the shaker fries properly, but, the sauce was incredible, and their green tea IPA was, in my opinion, the best ipa I've ever had (I only drink ipa, and have tried more than my fair share from across the globe). I'm looking forward to trying their other dishes... perhaps their other beer as well, but, if I could drink one beer for the rest of my life, the green tea IPA from Godspeed Brewery, "made with struggle and love, in Toronto" will likely be the only brew I seek out for the remainder of my existence

Have been in twice. First time, thought maybe it was just a fluke night, maybe the employee was having a bad day. Came in again about a week later. Unfortunately, both times, the same bartender/server was quite short with us, and constantly gave off this pretentious air of “I’m better than you because I read a mixology book”. Sad. I didn’t enjoy the food or the drinks, likely because of the customer service...or rather lack thereof. The only thing this place got right was the lighting & environment. Unfortunately that’s not enough for me to want to come back.

Absolute worst experience. Incredibly rude server. Walked in and before anything was said, the server said, “the kitchen is closed.” And we said no problem, we just want to have some drinks. She paused, looked at the time and said, “uhhhhhhhh, ok fine.” They didn’t close for over an hour. She then walked away from us to the table and said, “use the sanitizer before you sit down.” She didn’t tell us about the drinks at all, explain anything, or make us feel welcome and just walked away from us and stood behind the bar. Needless to say, we walked out. Glad I didn’t give this outrageously brutal business my money. So many better and a lot more welcoming places in St. Catharines to visit. DO NOT GO HERE.

I get takeout from Pharmacii every week, it’s just that good. The food is made from high quality ingredients and you can tell that a lot of care and passion goes into each dish. Our favourite dish is the Goghi Ssam, which is a pork and kimchi lettuce wrap meal set that is just amazing. Also try the Shaker Fries on the side, and make sure to shake them up with the seasoning in the brown bag provided! I can’t recommend this place highly enough and am sad I never got a chance to visit in person before lockdown.

Beautiful and inventive cocktails and food - the thing that impresses me the most is the unwavering commitment to excellence. No modification allowed! This should be everywhere! The chef knows that they have brilliant food - and I will confirm this, although there are not many options for those with non-traditional diets - one of the best and finest craft experiences in the city. Really enjoy the view of the heritage site next door too!!! Reminiscent of the Springfield Tire Fire, though it does not detract from the wonderful experience I had here. Highly recommend!

This place was at the top, if not the very best place I’ve ever had. I didn’t have any cocktails but I heard from people outside the restaurant that they are incredible and I believe it. Great atmosphere too. Would highly recommend
