MJ's is not what you would expect. It has a very unique decor of 100's of world car lucence plates lining the ceiling. The tables inside are picnic tables but it really adds to the feel of the take out restaurant. The menu has mouth watering lunch and supper fast food hamburgers, chicken, fries, etc. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend

Nice to have a lunch at the road side restaurant. Area are clean and comfortable. 1/3 lb cheese burger is a treat.

There is absolutely nothing bad you can ever say about MJ’s. A local staple in the region with amazing food at extremely affordable prices. The atmosphere is perfect for an outdoor lunch or sunset dinner. Great place for everyone of all ages!

Excellent experience. I have passed this place so many times and today was the day I decided to stop. Had loaded fries with beef and hamburgers. The staff is sweet and courteous. If you are driving to Niagara on the laser or the falls this place does deserve your visit .

Nice restaurant along the way to Niagara Falls on the lake. Food is excellent. Long line when we arrived for lunch but they are efficient and didn’t take long for us to get our food. Parking is free and there’s a nearby farm with produce sold adjacent to the restaurant.

I’ve been a reasonably frequent customer but after getting the Whistle dog today I’ve decided not to return again. The dog came with two cold slices of cheese, cold bread, and a cold strip of bacon. I took it back and asked for it to heated up. It came back with cold bread, cold bacon and slightly squishy cheese. I was really disappointed. A very generous portion of fries but No salt.

They have real cheese curds and the gravy is great! Highly recommend as I am very picky with my poutines. Plus it wasn’t expensive at all, only $5.

Always a busy place, people come here to pack food for the whole family and friends. I counted about 7 people in the kitchen. They work super fast. All ingredients are fresh and quality is good. But that's remaining a straight American fast-food. I wish I had some secret family-recepie sauce in my burger. But it seems to be people not care, they cover their food with a layer of ketchup and mustard from the shared can and taste well.

Ordered a small poutine and could barely finish it, it's a generous portion, and the gravy was SO delicious. The pickle spears were amazing and the staff was great!

A nice place, I felt a family atmosphere, the service was friendly and fast, the food was very delicious. Please just improve the quality of the hamburger bun. I will definitely eat here again.

MJ's is a fantastic local "secret". It serves the usual fair of fries, burgers etc with generous portions, also so tasty! I very cool atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating {wheelchair accessible). Go there and discover the hype!

Home made burgers, fries with crispy over cooked bits.... Couldn't ask for a better meal. Ample outdoor seating for nice summer days. Good was cooled perfectly, onion rings are surreal.... I'm glad I live close because I visit often.

I got the dill pickle fries, and it did not disappoint. The fries were crispy enough to hold up to the toppings, and the flavour was everything that could be desired when ordering an item with that name. I would say there was a bit too much ranch for me, but realistically, the large was just way too much food for one person unless you're on a very high calorie intake diet. The service was prompt and friendly, couldn't ask for better. Most of the staff are pretty young, too, so it's great to see everything running as smoothly as it was with a steady stream of customers during my visit. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because all the seating is either outdoor or open, and it is located on a very busy street, so the noise level can get pretty bad depending on traffic. It is also picnic table seating, which may not be suitable for people with bad knees, etc. Overall, I'd say MJ's is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit, and even more worth the money.

We mainly come here for the poutine. Service is pleasant, and portions are large. Love the ambiance of the place. Regular hang out spot. My kid really liked the fried Mars bar.

Everything was delicious and prices you can’t beat! So much seating too that my very large family happily had space. Super kid friendly :)

What started as a “we’re just nipping out for a few things” - turned into another run along the lake to the Niagara Region - it was a gorgeous day for a drive. Along the way - we discovered @mjsownmunchies_ and let me tell you…worth the drive!! The portions are massive - look at that burger - the patties at any local joint around here are less than half that size! The poutine - the cheese is LAYERED - not just put on top - so it’s through the whole thing and my Mum who is not as into poutine as I am, was all over it. The chicken fingers are fantastic and again - so many fries we actually didn’t even eat those just saved them to reheat this week! If ever you’re in the area - or even if you’re not - just head out there for some yummy food and support another fabulous local business!

Such a classic! Amazing fries. Very respectable burgers. Highly efficient. Amazing outdoor seating. A MUST VISIT if near Niagara on the Lake or local environs.

Stopped in with the kids on the way home from Niagara for a late lunch early dinner. Food was amazing and staff is absolutely lovely. Definitely a place we will be returning to!

Absolutely amazed, tried it for the first time and I will be back. Got a burger and friend got the Taco poutine. The portions were very large! Must try! Counter girl was so friendly and polite, food was up and ready so fast, was actually shocked with the speed!

Good prices and great portions. Service is friendly and the Food is somewhat good. The atmosphere can do with some better cleaner benches or tables or whatever. And some good music of course.

Homemade burgers, fresh cut fries, good size, good flavour Weiner and chili on the chili dog. Fast service and polite. I would go back and try their deep fried desserts as an add on. Picnic tables inside were sticky so we ate at the picnic tables outside. You can hear them call out when your food is ready.

Great little stop along Lakeshore in Niagara. Lots if variety to choose from and made fresh to order. Cute spot with picnic tables indoors as well as outdoors. Definitely will stop by for lunch again. Service is good and staff is friendly.

Fun decor, very apt for its location. Don't go looking for healthy options. It's more for delicious greasy yummy food. Friendly staff, lots of indoor and outdoor picnic table. Perfect for a break on a road trip

Tasty onion rings, and seems like a good selection for a self-proclaimed fry stand. Worth a stop any time, but an excellent way to treat oneself while waiting for the lift bridge to reopen!

Love this place, great selection for anyone. Good price, quick service. It seem to be a locals place to go, which means it has to be good. Always follow the locals to the good food.

Took down my last review after speaking with the staff about it. Today I ordered my food, the poutine and fingers. I normally pay $12.28 after tax. Now they tell me the price has always been $13.56. I have gone to MJs atleast 50 times in the past year and I’ve never paid that much. Secondly I asked for the finger to be cooked from frozen and they are double cooked. For anyone who doesn’t know they precook the food and then heat it up quickly once you arrive. They truly have stopped caring about loyal customers and continue to deliver poor quality food.

Great place for a quick bite. Fast service, tasty food at good prices. The French fries are fresh cut and worth the drive alone.

Delicious fresh cut fries. Everyone was quite pleased with their selections. The burger is tasty and well priced. "Quirky" decor inside. A nice area outdoors to eat in better weather. A well priced place for good fresh cut french fries. We've been frequenting the place lately as the hunt for the perfect chip continues. On the downside the only complaint I have is that fountain pop is served. Lids, straws and lined cups end up in the garbage. So if you have concerns on that end then check for alternative drink options while there or bring something along. And remember... a healthy diet starts with fresh cut chips!

Excellent service. Huge variety of meals to choose from. Place is lined up at noon on Saturday. Lots of parking. Open 8am to 8pm all year round. You have to eat in your car at the moment

If you are in the mood for delicious fries and hamburgers this is a great place. Old fashioned style food, reminds me of years ago. They are practicing good safety measures and takeout only, and mask required. Go to the small counter, place your order and they will tell you how long it will take, and take your name. I ordered small fries and came back in 5 minutes and ready to go $4.05. Under normal circumstances there are picnic tables to eat at but not right now. Takeout only. My grandson and I shared the small fries and ample amount for a snack for us. I would recommend this place for hardy fast foods. Did I mention they have deep fried Mars bars!

Great little place one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Quick and friendly staff. Want to go back soon and I don't mind the 4 hr drive to get there either lol

The Best homemade hamburgers in Niagara. Plus neat treats like deep fried Mars bars. Still not open inside for service due to Covid but lots of outside tables to eat at while the weather is still warm.

Don’t like bad reviews however, charging .50 for additional toppings on a hotdog. Cheese yes, tomatoes, lettuce, onion are extra????? Been coming here for years and never been charged before. The hot dog in the photo is from H2O Patio on Canal Bank Road (where a hot dog doesn’t cost more than a burger). No charge for toppings except the cheese.

Always delicious eats and friendly staff. I have been coming to MJ's here and there for a number of years and when it comes up as an option I'm always excited. The homemade patties are so bleeping good. Fries nice and crispy. And the atmosphere is very much it's own.
