The Foreign Affairs winery is a very underrated winery. This winery was recommended by a couple we met at a previous winery. So we didn’t have reservations but they were able to fit us in the 20 minute. Brenda in the shop was so so sweet, while we waited she gave us a tasting of the sparkling wine and explained the history the winery. She gave us a quick tour of the cellar and our jaws dropped! JD was our wine expert - we did 2 different red tastings (Bordeaux Beauties & Appassimento Aficionado - all were delicious, there wasn’t a red we didn’t like). JD was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive and hilarious! He made the tastings so enjoyable and we could tell he was very passionate about the wines! We have been to over 40 wineries in Jordan to NOTL and this was our #1 tasting experience! Highly recommend trying this winery, but make sure you make reservations! They turned away a group of 3 behind us because they wanted to make sure everyone would get a curated , unique experience. They really focus on making your experience one of kind vs. accepting all walk-ins and speeding through the tastings! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you JD & Brenda.

I’m Currently here and I have Michael who is our wine guide and I think that if you want your best experience here get him. He is incredibly passionate about his wines, has a good sense of humor. Has completely made our experience better on top of great wine.

When you go for a wine tasting here, you can absolutely see why this winery ranks so high in the reviews. We had not planned ahead, still they managed to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday. For our tasting, they also were very generous in little extras. This spot actually feels like being inside a European restaurant. Then when we left our server who was very busy, still found a way to shout out a thanks when he spotted us through a window as we walked by. They truly make you feel special throughout the experience!

20221023 Bob's buying The Foreign Affair 2019 "Conspiracy" Wine tasting, dinner and cigars, The Foreign Affair Winery 2019 Conspiracy wine Cab Franc/Cab Sauv a winner beating out my previous 4 favourite wines! The bold, refreshing, and dark cherry flavours the wine paired well with my Slovenian/Italian style of cooking and my last 4 Oliva Series V Melanie Maduro robustos. The cigar's deep flavours of molasses, nuts, and liquorice balanced with the 2019 "Conspiracy."

First and foremost the service and warmth of the people was exceptional. We had Michael who was an absolute darling to meet and guide us through two flights. We got the brunch box and it was perfect to pair with the flights. The wines ranged from lighter to stronger and each one had its own tasting journey. If you like to really dig into wine and how it’s made, this is a lovely place to do it in. Strongly recommend 10/10.

A fantastic experience! We did a tasting with Michael, who was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, super friendly and fun to talk with. Reds were absolutely FANTASTIC, we loved Dream 2018, Temptress, and Gran Q. Will absolutely be coming back!

me and my husband's first time and we had a great experience. Meaghan was sweet and very informative. loved the decor in the tasting room. The seated wine tasting was a nice touch...didn't feel rushed. Excellent wine!!

My wife and I have been here many times in the past, but it wasn't until last July that we actually tried their high end wines, the $25.00 price per person for 4 tastings is well worth it. We were so impressed that we have since been at least 12 more times. Their 2012 Gran Q (which we were lucky enough to sample) is probably one of the top 5 wines I have ever tasted. We have been to California, Tuscany and tried wines from all over, this wine rates right up there. Their 2016 Cab Franc is another gem, I opened it up a week ago with friends and it was a hit, so smooth and velvety. Their wines are so good that I became a wine club member. Their staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable, Michael, Brenda, Susan, JD. Salute!!!

We just had an abfab time at Foreign Affair. We used a coupon from 2019 for the tasting but ended up liking the wine so much that we bought several bottles. Michael was gracious and helpful. Recommend this place fully!

Visit! You still not regret the experience! Fantastic and unique wines in the midst of an interesting agricultural research station combine to create the feel of Tuscan villa set amongst a technological effort rivaling a space program. The warmth and hospitality of our hosts was second to none! I'll definitely be returning as soon as I'm able!

Great winery, good selection. Have been coming here for years, but new wine members. Very knowledgeable staff and always a great experience.

Staff was very lovely but the wines were disappointing. We tried 2 whites and 2 reds and both pricey for the quality compare to other producers in the region. Sorry but with the 4.9 rating I was expecting to taste some of the best wine in NOL region but we’ve been to most wineries now and some many times, and in my honest, personal opinion, I would skip I you have just a few places to try when visiting.

Went for a bachelorette party and Michael was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything to us and listen to our likes and dislikes. He made excellent recommendations!!!! You need a reservation but I called morning of and they accommodated 6 of us! Thank you!!

The BEST winery in my opinion. I love the wines, Conspiracy and Apologetic are my favorites. We came down for wine tasting and had a great time. Michael is a wine expert who made our visit super special and taught us a lot about their wines. I will definitely go back as soon as I can and look forward to seeing Michael again!!

Highly recommend going to this place for lunch. The new menu is amazing and it pairs perfectly with the extraordinary wines. The portion sizes are great. The duck pate was my favourite, but the charcuterie board, and burrata were also stand outs.

We had a great experience at Foreign Affair. We had Michael lead us through the wine flight and he was absolutely phenomenal. This is hands down the best winery we have ever been to!! I would highly recommend the flight of full appasimento wines - it's well worth the price.

👍👍 Drove by this pirate ship looking thing for years and now I decided to stop in and check it out. This isn't the type of place you come to without having other places to go after. Definitely not a 1 off trip, going to or from somewhere else is the trick to this place. La Grande Hermine is the officia...

👍👍 This is a lovely place to simply have a picnic by the water or to do some paddle boarding canoeing or kayaking. The bay itself is nice and calm however you can venture out onto the lake itself. There's a boat launch here that is public but there is also a launch for a rental place where you can rent...
