My wife has been visiting this pain clinics over the last several months. She requires a service dog due to her condition. She was told that her service dog now needs to wait in the waiting area due to new rules according to the VP. I advised the management that this is illegal and my wife has rights and needs this dog with her at all times. They didn’t care, they were rude and said we can abide by the rules or leave. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and human rights council of Ontario.

It is immensely frustrating when the doctor does not adhere to the most recent Canadian guidelines with regards to medications, openly stigmatizes mental health, and perpetuates the usual stigmas that accompany chronic pain sufferers. This was, without a doubt, the worst doctor-patient experience I have ever had.

The single worst experience at a pain management clinic I have ever had. Doctors did not seem knowledgeable nor willing to evaluate the cause of pain. There was clear stigmatization ongoing towards mental health difficulties. To say we were "disappointed" doesn't even begin to summarize how we felt walking out of there.

The worst treatment centre for fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and similar illnesses! Dr. Al-Shamma and his staff have a lack of competency that, to be completely frank, shocks me. Dishonest, inconsistent, and lacking any foundation in clinical studies or real information, I am shocked that Ontario would allow this "pain management clinic" to continue to exist. If you are a doctor or patient reading this, please refer yourself to another Clinic.

I was terrified to go to the pain clinic from a previous experience. Dr Awad never made me feel uncomfortable, he and his staff are very compassionate and quick to treat any new pain areas with the care needed. I am a very sensitive person and it is wonderful to feel respected , treated with dignity and welcomed every week. Every staff member I have met are very friendly and helpful and in these trying days it’s very refreshing and a huge relief. I went from fear to faith in this treatment ! Thank you PCC St Catharines!!

My dr sent a Referral and they said they never received it after waiting over a month called to see how much longer it would be the receptionist stated she would call me back before the end of the day, now that was on a wed . No call received wed so called on Thursday got the same reply get back to you by the end of the day again no call .i did not call on Friday as neither did they called again on Monday and was told to get dr to resend the referral. After waiting for over a month I was now back to square one now I would have to wait 2and a half months so now in pain I will wait 3 and a half months told them to forget it . Defiantly not the kind of incompetent people I want to look after my pain!!!

I have been seeing Dr.Hamid Khadim for some months now! I was having problems with my back, to the point that I could hardly move! I was referred to him by my family Doctor!Dr. Khadim started to give me injections in my back at first, once a week, then every other week! It has been such an experience to receive so much relief! He is a gentle man and takes time to listen to me and he explains everything to me! I am so thankful that I have him for my Doctor! Forever Grateful! Myk Wedmid, Smithville, Ontario

Updated 2022🐉 Fantastic team of dedicated nursing staff and doctors 🥰 I have definitely seen improvement & have been able to be in less pain for longer periods of time. The injections are not fun but the instant relief is amazing for tight spots. Highly recommended for chronic pain that can be mobility related. Support the PCC clinic so govt doesn't shut them down. This is a medically needed service. My referral from my doctor was sent in July 2017, it did take a very very long time to actually get into the PCC clinic and I was very upset that it did take so long. But after finally getting in and receiving treatment I am very pleased with my doctor and the nursing and supportive staff. They are very busy st tge St. Catharines location But, they do need to work on being a little more organized with the referrals from the doctors, to get the patients in quicker and to not use the excuse of losing the referrals, cuz I've heard this several times from different people, but despite this fact it has been a Positive experience. So far I've only been in for a few treatments. I'm very hopeful that the nerve blocks will help ease my pain. My Dr is very sweet & the treatments have helped a bit, it takes time, more comments after more treatments.

Unfortunately I must rate on the lowest possible scale. I had been seeing a particular doctor who works at PCC in St. Catharines for about 8+ Years. He gave me excellent care in the beginning. I followed him from a previous clinic as he really was helping me and was compassionate and understanding of my condition. UNTIL this last year. He said there wasn’t much more he could do for me but wanted me to continue to see him periodically as I am on a pain patch. So most recently I had an appointment but receptionist called to cancel for whatever reason and rescheduled the appointment. The day of the appointment, 1 1/2 hours before my scheduled appointment, receptionist called again to cancel my appointment because THE DOCTOR said he could not see me unless I had a new referal. He left me hanging no patches, family doctor away and no where to turn. His nurse had no comment when I asked what I can do in the meantime. He wouldn’t come to the phone as per his nurse. Who does this to a faithful patient. I want to know why he did this. I don’t want to post his name because I truly believe he is a good doctor.

I have been with the PCC Team for over 1 year now. My visits began just as Covid 19 was hitting St. Catharines. At all times, I felt safe, protected listened to, and acknowledged by all staff. The clinic responded very professionally and I am very grateful they stay open for us. I utilize the pharmacy, I have had Fibro IV Vitamins and I see Dr Khadim for injections weekly. Everyone has been polite, patient and positive. You can tell that the staff all genuinely enjoy being there, Often times you will hear laughter pouring out of the hallway and a team full of smiles walking out with a patient or two. I have been chronically ill for 15 years prior to seeing DR Khadim. I was used to going from Dr to Dr looking for relief only to have yet another pill or two added. That was not what I was looking for. I wanted to get well! With Dr Khadim's help I was able to elimante the majority of my medications, I have been Paralysis FREE for over a year, I SOLD my Electric Scouter, I have no idea where my Walker is...I went Paddleboarding this summer. With help, kindness, a doctor with an understanding of how physical pain and the brain interact AND who you can TRUST having a much better quality of life is possible. I recommend this particular clinic to people seeking relief and people who want to learn how to take care of patients with incredible bedside manner. Beyond Greateful! We can't thank you enough. See you later this week :)

I have never ever seen a rude doctor or mean like him ! Yesterday I went there for the second time I was suffering from my back injuries mean while he supposed to help his patients but he didn't even believed that I was in pain ! He asked me to stand up and stand down i did and he said you are good ! Wow just tell me where did you get that certification? With one evidence from the hospital they revealed that my back is Swollen , I was telling him that I was in pain I'm ready to get any inaction or surgery just to get ride off the pain ! But he never listened

I've been going here for over a year. Love what Dr.Senthelal has done for me. Always pro-active, compassionate and informative. If one procedure doesn't work he will recommend something else to relieve pain.

The Doctor never sees you at your appointed time. To continue with this clinic would mean a significant time investment and a very understanding employer. This may be fine if you have no other plans or responsibilities. While waiting for my appointment I managed to see an article in the Toronto Star listing Dr. Hany Demian (owner) as one of the top injecting doctors in Ontario and (on the public purse) injecting more frequently than advised. Sometimes being left waiting for 1.5 hours after an appointment can be put to good use. Think twice and do your research.

Dr. Khadim and his amazing TEAM has completely changed the quality of my LIFE! After my 4th FULL Covid-19 vaccination last year, my body completely shut down. Everything that had previously been "managed" by my family Dr, flared up intensely and I felt crippled. Without the help from PCC, Dr Khadim and his TEAM, I would not be walking/functioning at all! I give praise and much thanks for changing my LIFE!

I’ve been going to PCC for over a year now and I’m so thankful for Dr Al Shama and his nurses. The reception staff has gone through some changes tho and not for the good. It’s difficult to get through and when you finally do they don’t work with you for appointments. The one that is still there from some time ago is Crystal and she is wonderful. But listening to how many appointments they mess up and book on the wrong days is rediculous. They make the scheduled appointments fall so far behind because Dr Al Shama treats them I’d guess out of frustration because it’s not the patients fault when their appointments were booked wrong. There are regulars that come in and are always on the same days but they were booked for a different day because they messed up again! It’s so frustrating! I wish they could find a friendly helpful group like they had. As stated above, the doctors and nurses are wonderful, they are 5+ stars but the receptionist staff needs a major clean up. (Except Crystal)

Injured at work 5 years ago no doctors could help me other than telling me to take Advil. Finally found out about the Pain Care Clinic in St. Catharines and got my Dr to refer me. It was like walking into heaven. Not only did they help alleviate my pain but they sent me to Trillium Spine Clinic and am now scheduled for surgery to correct the issue instead of the symptoms. All the staff at the St. Catharines Pain Care Clinic from reception to the Doctors are extremely knowledgeable with the latest methods of controlling pain and in my case sending me to the proper specialist to hopefully end the pain. They are extremely empathetic and patient with their patients and truly care about each and everyone of them. My family and I are extremely grateful for all they have done for me which also affects them as to my improved mobility of daily tasks. A heartfelt Thankyou to all of them especially Dr. Khadim…you have truly changed my life for the better. Edit…I should have mentioned the nurses that work here. They treat you with every bit of dignity and concern as the doctors and make you feel at ease with the procedures.

Terrible clinic. The receptionist with blonde hair is so rude. She ignores patients and doesn't listen to ur question. Waited 4.5 hrs and didn't even see a Dr after that. There's 3or 4 steps before u even c a dr. So u have to return to the office 4 times. Just a nightmare. Avoid this place.

My pain was overwhelming, it was affecting all aspects of my life. I could not even sit in a chair or sleep without terrible pain. I have been going to the Pcc clinics first in Hamilton and now in St Catharines for over 2 years now. The results of which have left me able to enjoy my life again. Also the entire staff from receptionist to nurses to Doctors have all treated me with respect and compassion. I recommend them completely.

I have been seeing Dr.kamawi for a couple of years every week. This woman has helped so very much with my pain. Her nurse is the kindest person also. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with cancer and can no longer see Dr Kimawi. The clinic is awesome, everyone is so kind. I will miss my treatment and the staff. Merry Christmas to you all and God bless.

This place is disgusting. I got hired last year March 8 and I hate it. People were very rude and mean. On my every first day when I got hired the manager(Amy) never introduced herself. I had relatives that passed away and she had no empty whatsoever. The manager Amy was racist which surprised me. Also there was one more person that worked in HR and her name is Yvette, very unprofessional person. I made complaint on the manager instead of talking to her she let me go.I wanted complain to labour board but I got no luck. This place is full of white people, I was the only brown skinned in there. I would never ever recommend anyone working here absolutely trash people

I have been going to the Pain Care Clinic for about 5 and a half months and I've had a great experience. I spent years not being listened to by other doctors and within my first appointment there I was finally listened to and diagnosed. Following that, my treatment options were explained and treatment began shortly after. The treatment I have been receiving here has made a huge difference in my life. Dr. Kalicharran is a wonderful and kind doctor. Every time I go there for my treatments Dr. Kalicharran listens to my concerns, answers my questions, and explains everything thoroughly. He is very patient and understanding and seems to genuinely care about his patients. The rest of the staff there is very sweet and friendly and make me feel comfortable and welcome. PCC really goes above and beyond, they're great!

Knowledgeable physicians for pain treatment and management. With a perspective of 30 yrs of pain and multiple types of treatments, I hold out great hope for this one. So far, so good! I also know others they have helped. Of course, the clinic does process a large number of folks per day but there's also a long waiting list.

I have been in chronic pain for over 20 years and have been to many doctors in various fields with no treatment except an over abundance of unwanted pain medication that gave little to no relief. I have been seeing Dr Al-Shammaa for roughly 2 years now and I can only describe him as a very professional and compassionate doctor that truly cares to alleviate as much pain as possible for me. The treatment I receive and see others receive upon entering the office is always welcoming and friendly from staff. My experiences with the clinic have been unmatched by any other, my life has changed for the better in so many ways I can't begin to describe nor could I possibly put into words. I would recommend giving the PCC your time and patience to sort out your pain management rather than expecting 100 percent relief after a single visit. Let's face it you're sent there because conventional medicine is failing or not available to you, if truly in pain you should be willing to give anything a try. Thank you so much to the doctors and staff, I appreciate everything you've done for me and no doubt will continue to do.

I have been a patient with PCC Pain Clinic for almost 6 1/2 years now and I have had the best care with Dr Christine Giordanni and I have been getting Fibromialgia IV Vitamins Therapy for almost 6 years with Dr John Girgis and I have had and still have amazing treatment with both Dr's in both St Catharines and in Welland, with all the staff in both locations.

Chronic pain caused from spinal problems along with other areas that contribute to my overall pain and suffering is why my Dr referred me here. I must admit at first I didn't feel a warm welcome and was after suffering for so long I was worried about how this would go. People who don't suffer on a daily basis may not truly understand how hard each day is even when a person may "look fine" and pain wears you down in every aspect of your life. I'm happy to say that I came to realize that the staff was very kind but they too have hard days or weeks and as much as they try not to sometimes it shows. We are all human and if people start being more compassionate and understanding to others that things will work out a shoe lot better. We all have problems and we all make mistakes because we are all human. Thank you to everyone at PCC for helping me cope with my pain I appreciate you all!

The staff here is very friendly. I'm visiting St. Catharines clinic over a year. I found Dr. Awad and his assistants amazing, professional and passionate. He is an extraordinary caring doctor, treats his patients with respect and dignity. He makes me feel better every time I visit him. I'm glad I'm under his care. I also want to endorse Keeli Jasnich, who after noticing my escalated blood pressure assisted me to ER, where they removed my dilated appendix, hence Keeli's timely advice, saved my life. I really appreciate her and want to say, " No words to appreciate, how Keeli is an asset for this Clinic "

I started at PCC after moving to the area to avoid hour long trips each way to the incumbent, treatment centre, CPM Brampton. PCC is a very relaxed atmosphere. In fact so relaxed doctors and technicians can't bother to perform required health steps such as landmarking injection sites or BP checks before and after injections. The amount of and longevity of pain relief I received from weekly visits at PCC was far less that the relief I enjoyed from monthly visits to CPM Brampton. It would seem the Doctors receive the most benefit by billing OHIP for more frequent patient treatments. I would be sorry I ever set foot inside PCC's doors except it gave me a greater appreciation for the outstanding treatment I was accustomed from CPM. In spite of the extra long drive, I have returned to CPM Brampton and again getting treatments which allow me to perform daily functions with reasonable comfort. I hope other patients get more help.

It takes, not just a special doctor but a special person, to go into pain care. EVERYONE you see is complaining. I have Fibromyalgia. Had it for 13 years. Firstly Dr. Nigl, and now Dr. Greene, have looked after me (Dr. Nigl moved to the Windsor branch). Incredibly compassionate people with a game plan to manage my pain. I don't care if the plan works or not - I am just glad we have a plan. So many doctors have told me they can not help me it is a refreshing change. Of course they can't really help me. My nerves were too badly damaged in my spinal cord. Nanobots, stem cells, these hold some hope but nobody seems to be working on them. Quel shame!

Horrible! Have been a patient here for 1 year and have seen Dr. Giordani twice! Chronic pain from herniated discs and sciatica. I have been waiting for nerve block since July 2019. Not even booked an appointment yet. Receptionist always passes buck...doctor has long wait time etc. I call once a month and am told EVERY SINGLE TIME they will call back. My old family doctor referred me. Huge mistake. You have to sign a waiver in the beginning saying PCC PAIN CLINIC and only them Will treat pain. Ummm no. Nobody is treating anything. Rude staff. Horrible doctor. Waste of time.

My experience from the doctors at this clinic has been nothing but wonderful. From the intake process to the need to adjust modalities to accommodate my comfort and tolerance was greatly appreciate. The nursing staff (Nicole) is a breath of fresh air and her compassion when things were tough was appreciated. I saw that there was a review of the staff being an issue. I did not see a problem with the staff. I do see them handling a high volume of patients in the most efficient way possible. The clinic is large but the waiting room gets filled up quickly and seating is an issue on some days. I really appreciate the skills that Dr. Diemian possesses. He has made my treatments bearable, especially when I am a person that hates needles. He has the talent and expertise that minimize the fear of the needles and the discomfort that I experience. I would highly recommend the St. Catharines clinic to anyone who suffers from chronic pain.

I live with Chronic Pain. I was referred to go to PCC and was assessed & started my treatments . I see Dr. Kamawi & her assessment & treatment has given me back a better quality of life. I receive weekly injections. She is a wonderful Doctor who listens weekly to my needs of pain relief & a very nice nurse who listens as well! I was able to get off the opioids I had been taking for many years which did NOT help my pain.(wasnt easy, but I did it 🙂)! This clinic is very Clean, Welcoming & Friendly! I recommend if you live with "Chronic Pain" get referred by your doctor to go see "Dr. Kamawi" & she will change your quality of life!!, Thank you Dr. Kamawi!! 🙂
