I was just there a couple weeks ago, I'm not impressed with how he talks to his patients. I asked him questions he was very short with the answers he didnt explain anything. He prescribed me new meds which I dont understand as to why he would. I have been on the same meds for 25 years they are working perfectly didnt need new ones. I asked him a question and he walked out of the room. He totally ignored my question. He had some lady come in, she didnt even introduce herself. Just that she wanted me to buy their face wash. I called today to cancel my next appt, the receptionist said ok and hung up. How can you be that rude when dealing with the public. People need to stop going to him!!!!

He was abrupt he did not actually answer any one of my questions. He came across as arrogant and rude. Waited several months for an appointment that took 5 minutes. Then when I stated to him that he didnโ€™t answer my questions he just looked at me and left the room. Truly disappointing that he couldnโ€™t be bothered to educate me in what the health concerns were.

I am a retired dentist. I was referred to this office by my previous dermatologist who is moving away. Even though I saw my dermatologist just 5 weeks ago Dr Sloanโ€™s office called me and said I needed to be seen. He asked a few questions which I had already completed on a form minutes earlier.I told him that I had a small BCC removed from my cheek a year ago. He got up to look at my cheek I thought but instead sprayed my face in 6 spots with nitrogen. No explanation. No consent. Said I needed to be seen again in the Fall. Got an appointment for Sept. That is in just a few monthsโ€”no explanation why. I felt violated! Will not go there again.

THIS Dr. Should loose his licence. I went in for a skin body check for cancerous spots and melanoma .After waiting 35 mim(which isn't part of my complaint) he basically GLANCED over my arms and legs, and said come back in 6 months . I have had my BODY examined (not just arms and legs) in the past by qualified Dermatologists. The apt was 30 min .Every nook and cranny was examined. Any spot suspicious was looked at through a special light. DO NOT TRUST this Dr.with your well being!!! This was a complete waste of my time!

Probably the worst dr I have ever been to. Talked over me and didn't listen. Felt incredibly rushed. Being an OHIP referral, tried to sell me on products. I wonder if people who pay for cosmetic dermatology get treated better. Ask your dr to be referred elsewhere. Trust me.

Listen to the other reviewers. This guy is a quack. He won't answer your questions... has some obsession with his family by the thousands of photos on the walls and just doesn't listen period. He should be shut down. Only in it for the money. Never ever go to this guy as he is literally the worst doctor ever. Never mind creepy The good reviewers at the bottom are lying, he obviously knows or has paid for it. I can't even describe how bad this doctor is.

From the reception to the doctor, everyone is rushing. Doctor check my body by his eyes very quickly and could not even answer my questions, he just referred me to his assistant who selling me extra products without even gave me the usage instructions ๐Ÿ™ƒ. They gave me that impression as if I am not welcomed in the place. This place is not recommended to those people who needs to know more about their problems in a specific way. This edit below, after 3 months of using your prescription and the extra products you sold me and the result as expected is ZERO. Yes nothing and it is expected because, how doctor can cure his patient without check his body, asking questions and figure out his problems?. You replead that the manager will call me to discuss this and nobody called me so far and i don't want anybody calling me. enough is enough.

I went to Dr. Sloan on the advice of my mother's doctors after she died from Nodular Melanoma. They suggested that I be checked every 6 months because it is difficult to detect early enough for treatment. After waiting months for my referral, I go to my appointment and wait some more. He was extremely late. Dr Sloan then rushes in and says "so you're here for a mole check" to which I replied that I was not, and explained the situation. He again said "that's a mole check." Again, I explained that it was not because Nodular Melanoma does not typically present as a mole. I don't think I should have to explain skin cancer to a dermatologist! He then proceeded to "check" me from a few feet away, and didn't check any areas covered by the gown. Meaning that he ignored a significant portion of my skin. While he was "checking" me he asked "what's this spot on the back of your leg?" I told him that I have psoriasis. Again, isn't this something that a dermatologist should recognise? Afterwards, he told me that my GP could do this for me, so I reminded him that my mom's doctors said I needed to be checked by a dermatologist every 6 months. He said, "that's unnecessary. It's just melanoma." My response: "Well, my mom is dead, so I don't think it's 'just melanoma.'" I left in tears (after no more than 10 minutes) and will never return. He is inconsiderate, ineffectual, and clearly incompetent. He lacked basic knowledge of his supposed specialty. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

My reason for going to Dr. Sloan is because I have had a kidney transplant. This makes me more susceptible to cancer because am immune suppressed. Dr. Sloan walked in the door looked at my face and chest,I told him that my GP had burned off several spots. He burned 5 spots on my face. He was on his way out the door and I was still trying to tell him about other spots on my body. They tried to sell me 3 products in the 10 minutes I was there. Been twice and I won't go back.

Creepiest doctor I've ever spoken to. Also, this is a quote directly from his website: "If you have been referred for assessment of a mole, Dr. Sloan will do a complete mole examination. Regardless of the location of your mole, you will be asked to disrobe and be given a gown to wear, after which Dr. Sloan will do a visual examination of your entire skin as part of the mole check. This is to ensure that there is nothing growing on areas of skin that you are not able to see."

I went to see him recently for a skin problem with my cheek. The first that he did was to tell me to take my shirt off and he sprayed my BACK! Then he sold me a package of skin cream for $109.00, told me that my problem appeared to serious cancer, made an appointment for me to have a biopsy later and then referred me on to another doctor in August. I paid for the cream that I didn't need and cancelled everything else. If I could give a zero rating, I most certainly would.

This place knows how to get you in and out in a timely fashion. In this fast pace world your time is valuable. These ladies who work here hustle to make your visit quick and easy along with the valuable information you may need in regards to your treatment. Dr. Sloan is a down to business man. With his charts readily available and you already in a room he can brief himself quickly and take care of you immediately and have you on your way. If you have question just ask. Again the staff here are very knowledgeable and usually help you out with all of your needs. He and his staff never push products on you and give you options along with treatments. The products they have work and I can see the difference for myself and so can other. Minding you follow strict instructions given to you.

I was referred to Dr. Sloan by my family doctor. I would suggest going anywhere else. One star was generous as I legit left there in tears of how I was treated. Staff was super unfriendly. Though it was stated and confirmed that my appointment was at one time, it actually was 30 mins after the stated time. So even though I had taken off the appropriate time off work for what I thought was a 30 min appointment, was in fact not. I found this to be extremely inconsiderate of people's time. As with what everyone else has stated, the treatment was not helpful at all. Despite waiting 3 months for an appointment. I was just pushed expensive creams and drugs. I was not explained what may be the cause of my skin condition, so I found zero resolutions from my visit and will not be putting the prescription into use as I DO NOT TRUST THIS DR. Will be getting another referral to a different Dr.

Went there a few years ago when my psoriasis first started acting up, keep in mind I was an 18 year old girl. He told me this was not the primary concern as in a few years I would be beck there to get skin cancer cut out of me ( I'm guessing because I'm a red head ) . Honestly the worst experience

Sadly, the bad reviews are more or less an accurate representation of how people are treated at the Niagara Dermatology Centre. Short, impatient and the feeling that you are being processed just to squeeze money out of you are what was my experience. I had to wait 1.5 months to see a dermatologist and got probably about 5 minutes of his time, taking a glance at my issues and prescribing a steroid-creme. Wouldn't bother going again here.

As I sat here and read many of these reviews I felt I have experienced that exact same awful experience many of you have. I was running late for my appointment so I called to let them know, the receptionist informed me I missed my appointment and it was too late that we would have to rebook. Iโ€™m moving out of the province today and explained to her today is the only day I could come in. I tried to tell her what my appointment was for and she cut me off and said I obviously know why youโ€™re coming. She was extremely rude to me, didnโ€™t care about my concerns at all then she tried to tell me this was the end of my treatment when I only began it not even a month ago. She had no idea why I was coming. She informed me I could come in but I would have to wait for the patience who werenโ€™t late for their appointment, so I said thank you very much Iโ€™ll be there in 15 minutes. Now Iโ€™m sitting her and itโ€™s been over an hour and a half I am even more annoyed. Iโ€™ve personally never had any negative experience with dr.kevin himself. He is quick in and out, but he lets me express what I would like to say. Due to the lack of respect and the negativity from the front desk receptionist, and her hanging up on me (both are extremely rude, not bubbly negative people. Not welcoming at all) I will be requesting a new dermatologist from my family doctor and youโ€™ve lost my business and will not refer anyone else to this place. If you want to come here and be belittled and disrespected go for it. You lose people who are just trying to seek help from these kinds of experiences.

I was a bit worried going to see Dr Sloan after seeing low rate reviews... BUT seems most are about Dr Sloan quick time with patient and quick diagnosis. I am very happy with my experience with Dr Sloan. Yes he diagnosed me within seconds from looking at me. He was courteous, to the point and very professional. He answered all questions and concerns I had. I much rather have a knowledgeable Dr being able to diagnose right of way than having a Dr staring and scratching their head not being confident about their diagnosis. Having said that, Drs are human too and not perfect; they can't always have diagnosis 100% accurate all the times. And with the lack of medical services, Dr's unfortunately don't have the luxury of time to chat too long as they are overwhelmed with appts. There's such long waiting lists to see them. I felt Dr Sloan took the time to answer all questions I had regarding my thoughts and options. I think if you are not happy with his diagnosis, just tell him so thst you and him are on the same page and talk it out.

Was very disappointed with my experience with Dr. Kevin Sloan. He comes in, takes a mili-second look at my face and throws an accutane booklet at me. I mention that I came here to get advice and I was not interested in accutane. Not knowing my health history or bothering to ask any questions about it, he mentions that this is his recommendation and runs out of the room. My skin has mild break outs .. It is no where near the severity of even thinking of accutane. ESPECIALLY considering all of its side effects. He should really learn how to talk to clients as this can literally mess someones life up. I literally walked out of that 3 minute appointment thinking what a waste of time. 1000% would never go back to him and would NOT recommend anyone waste their time as well.

Do yourself a favor and ask for your doctor to give you a referral anywhere but here. I have never met a less professional staff at a doctor's office in my life. If they can't handle the simple tasks of booking appointments and general customer service I doubt they have the mental abilty to manage your files correctly.

Called me 4 times to confirm my appointment the course of 2 weeks. Each time for whatever for reason was first thing in the morning and I work nights. I asked them to call me later in the day if they needed to get a hold of me and they said they would put it on my file... then 3 days later I get another 9am wakeup call just as I'm falling asleep. I actually cancelled my appt because of this, just totally inconsiderate. Who calls four times tto confirm an appt and is rude every time? You called me, not the other way around. No need to be rude and snippy.

Has helped with issues in the past but he rushes you in and out and does not listen or let you finish a sentence. I would say the appointment was 4 min in total. Half of which was a sales pitch by an associate/salesperson who didnt know what they were selling. I walked out not very confident that a proper diagnosis was done. He also perscribed additional medication i didnt ask for or need..

Tremendous experience! Throughout my multiple visits i was glad to see that this institution still professionally upholds patriotic and christian values. I was also delighted to observe the pure breed integrity of a white workplace, which isnโ€™t a jewish financial cooperation๐Ÿ˜‰. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to find lots of common ground regarding political opinions and beliefs with Dr. Sloan, who has always been a pleasant for my family , especially the kids. My pubescent son, who has been struggling with acne throughout his adolescence, benefited greatly from his treatment here and has since stayed in close contact with his Doc ๐Ÿ˜

It seems everyone is always looking for a better dermatologist! I have, over several decades, had the good fortune to have been treated by three excellent dermatologist. Thank-you, Dr. Sloan. Dr. Susan Hall would never have asked if there was, "Anything else, today?". I would need an entirely new referral and then have to go to the back of the line. The office was very busy; everyone was trying to complain but Dr. Sloan was upbeat, very funny and so was his staff and things moved along so quickly. Either I hit one of those all green light days, or Dr. Sloan is really a fine Doctor, who was for me both cost effective and time saving. He answered all of my questions and didn't try to sell me any product. There are many products available and I enjoyed the infomercials and displays while I was waiting, but nobody pushed anything on me. I'll be back.

Went to have a couple spots looked at that don't heal well. Shot me with a nitrogen. Gets up and says get dressed and she'll be in on a minute. I said who will be in. He reply the nurse. Found this odd but OK. She comes in and starts to try to sell me some $109 tiny tube of exfoliate cream. I tried to cut her off part way through but she insisted I listen. I am there on Ohip, have no drug plan, which they are aware. When done i say I can't possibly afford such a product. She replys well now you know it exists. I really feel I didn't need to know and it should not have even been presented as I never asked for any products. Would have been nice if he had prescribed a $20 tube of fudicin to help with the healing instead. Not impressed

I went with my friend to her appointment so she could feel supported (this was her first meeting with the doctor). Before meeting with him, the receptionist was giving her a hard time by not accepting her UHIP coverage. This was quite surprising as a doctor from our university intentionally recommended this clinic because it accepts UHIP. The meeting itself with the doctor was less than five minutes. He did not listen to everything she was saying, denied her theories (which were supported by other doctors) and left before she could provide more detail to her acne history. It was disheartening seeing how they treated her as she left with no answers and three tiny containers of moisturizer. She had to pay over $100 just for five minutes of the doctors time. It seems very clear that this clinic is only interested in making money as they even tried to sell products to me. The doctor also said that he would speak with me only at a regular consultation appointment which would be $100. Very upset by their customer service and lack of respect towards patients.

I am Jewish and this man is an antisemite. He said the doctor and he share same opinions etc, really prefer not to believe the doctor is a antisemite too.

If you have skin cancer find another Dermatologist. Dr. Sloan was fine with treating my Dad's obvious skin cancer but he failed to check him regularly for any underlying growths. By the time he referred him for surgery a cancer that had been growing on and under his cheek had been left to grow undetected for too long. Surgery at this point was life threatening and so not an option. Thank goodness radiation worked instead. Slow down Dr Sloan and check your skin cancer patients more thoroughly!

Had my appointment with him this morning, i was given a half robe for him to see a mole on my back, and not once did I feel uncomfortable or forced to do anything. He isnt creepy in the slightest like all the other reviews, and I think the photos of his family are nice, considering doctors can work long hours and sometimes feel detached from their family life. He took a look at my back and told me there were no problem areas, but gave me a pamphlet on melanoma just to give me reassurance that none of these things are happening. The appointment was quick and had me leaving satisfied knowing that my skin was going to be okay. Their follow up policy is given to you on a paper when you leave so you dont feel like you might fall between the cracks. Overall a good experience.

Have been going to Dr. Sloan for a while know due to severe psoriasis. The prescriptions were not working well and he recommended shots. They have worked wonders. I am psoriasis free, no itching, peeling, all gone. He was very kind and while obviously very busy, took time to explain the pros and cons of the shots. Thank you Dr. Sloan. See you for a check up next year. Cheryl Aulbrook

After reading all the reviews I was terrified to bring my son here and almost canceled. First of all there was a misunderstanding about my appointment time and I was there very early morning when my appointment wasnโ€™t until later in the day. Thankfully they still took us (and were happy to do so) while we were there because I only had the morning off from work. When Dr Sloan walked in the room he spoke straight to my son and even asked about his school. It made my son feel more comfortable. Yes he was very very quick but Iโ€™m sure heโ€™s seen thousands of cases of acne and knew right away. Was never rude with us and answered any questions I did have. The next lady who brought in the products they sell NEVER pushed them on me. Simply said they offer it if I was interested and that was that. So far Iโ€™m very happy with Dr Sloan and the staff. Will update if needed :)

I took my son to see Dr. Sloan due to warts on his toes. I was surprised at how fast we were able to get him an appoinment. The staff were very friendly. Even though we arrived early, they took us right in and didn't make us wait. Dr. Sloan made my 5 year old son feel at ease and made jokes to ease his worry. The procedure was quick and painless. Great experience overall! Would recommend Dr. Sloan to anyone with little ones.

I was appalled to see first of all how busy it was during this covid-19 time in our lives, I was also disappointed that I was handed a pen that god knows how many people touched, there was more than two people in the waiting room .The doctor spent less than 4 minutes with me diagnosed me wrong had no interest in anything I had to say and then proceeded to try and make me buy products that he sold, I also had a phone them before I went to the appointment telling them that I was not comfortable going into that environment and she said that I would owe them $25 because it wasn't 24 hours notice I would lose my referral and I really needed the appointment so I felt that I had no choice but to go, only to find out after I went into that environment that yes indeed I could have had a virtual appointment so I'm really angry about the whole experience and and he did absolutely nothing for me I went there for help I've been suffering for 2 years with this problem and he didn't even bother to spend more than 5 minutes with me and the diagnosis he gave me was completely wrong and the medication for it obviously completely wrong

Went here for 2 appointments because I was having very itchy skin and weird pimples forming on my skin. The first time I went they gave me a cream and pills cause this was an "infection with eczema ". I took that for nearly three to four weeks and then went back cuz it made literally NO difference. The 2nd time "he was confident that it was scabies" so I tried the Nix cream prescription he gave me and let me tell u that it was the most painful night in my life. It felt like I was on fire. I do not recommend this place

This Dr. does not care about his patients. He spent 1 minute on the appointment and left in the middle of my questions about my skin, handed me a slip to give to the front desk and said just to moisturizer. A complete waste of time I do not recommend.

I was referred to the Niagara Dermatology Centre during my school term. It was a very unwelcoming and uncomfortable environment from both the doctor and receptionist. I was excused very early on during my appointment with Dr. Kevin Sloan while I had more questioning. I was prescribed to pickup a medication from a pharmacy nearby that was more helpful advice towards my questions and medication than the Dermatologist.

Very pleasant staff and Dr. Sloan was great with my grandson. I took my 6 year old grandson for wart treatment and Dr. Sloan made him feel comfortable and we were in and out no issues. Great experience

Id like to start by saying my face was a cystic acne nightmare, and Iโ€™m sorry for anyone who goes through it. I havenโ€™t been this happy with my skin in over 6 years, and I have literally tried EVERYTHING. Now to the point, Dr.Sloan is quick, straight to the point doctor, and very good at his job! The lady showing me products they offer for my type of acne and going over my prescription was super helpful, my acne is basically gone thanks to their recommendations and their Vivier line!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I am a new client to Nahid Beauty. I first went to do threading and waxing. Nahid took good care of me and really took her time to make sure I was satisfied with my eye brow shaping and that my waxing was done completely clean. I have since gone back to do a glow jam facial. It was amazing! She made...
