I shopped here years ago and still reflect fondly on the experience. Wesley noticed me carrying Harry Potter books, and he made some amazing suggestions that have since become some of my all-time favourite books. He even found me at the cash to give me a list of other recommendations. The books he suggested set off a series of coincidences in my life that have since inspired my first published novel. This is a really nice bookstore, with a really good selection and variety of books 📚 it’s very clean and organized. Staff is very friendly and helpful, easy to navigate and find whatever section you’re looking for. Always has some good deals and discounts.

This is a bit of a unique review as I am an author of the Courage to Change Journal and they hosted an author signing event for me. This store felt like home for me. The manager Amanda was kind and helpful, along with Eliza for arranging this all for me. When I came in everything was set up and ready to go. The store was tidy and clean. Every customer that I seen needing help were met with friendly smiles and support, just like they were with me. Thank you Chapters St. Catherine for making this a meaningful event for me.

Went to chapters on feb 9th. The systems where down, not a problem for us. Problem was the staff that stood in a circle talking to each other not helping out customers. In my visit I needed the restroom, so I was in the room and they locked me out of the store. No communication just locked the door. Suggestion, if the store is open, the team should still walk around and see if the people who purchase product need help.. I found that customers where helping each other, like in my case. At one point, I even went up to a young lady for help and a gentleman who also worked there interrupted but not in a helpful way. Rude and arrogant. Chapters, you will find people will leave you with this service. Found help and great staff at the book depot.

Went to pick up a book I'd ordered for store delivery because they only had 1 in stock, and I was too lazy to search for it. Once we found where to go for pickups (It had been moved since the last time we used the service), all went smoothly.

Everytime you call, the staff are always so helpful in finding what you need. Never make you feel rushed on the phone or in the store. No one specific stands out because everyone who works there is the same. This is honestly the best Chapters/Indigo I have ever been too. And will continue to go to. My mom asked me to pick up a curbside order for Christmas for her because she's ill and not able to do so. She's been off work for about a month and she just was not able to make it in. I picked it up no problems but I had asked for a bag because the child the present is for is about to be picked up and they said yes, but it was $2.50. So now my daughter gets to see her Christmas present from her grandma before Christmas even gets here. I came there with the intent to pick up an item that would be in a bag so obviously I didn't bring my bank card. Poor service.

It can take time to shop and find the perfect gift for our friends and loved ones.. I value time and great customer service. 👌 I was serviced with patience, enthusiasm, and excitement by the staff here. Chloe one of the staff members, hand-picked each book that I explained I was looking for. She found the perfect ones saved me valuable time. . Thank you to the team. The staff at Chapter's is always friendly and helpful. If they feel they can't answer a question that I have, they will find someone who does. There is always a great selection of books, whether it be children's books for my classroom, cookbooks for my collection or a good mystery novel.

Great spot if you like books, one staff member even gave me a great recommendation as I clearly must have looked indecisive when standing in front of the literature classics section.

The staff was very helpful 😃 but the store did not have two of the books that I was looking for. They may have come on the following Wednesday. I was offered to purchase the books online however I would have to pay for the shipping, whereas if I ordered from Amazon there would be no shipping cost.

Located in the Fairview mall, there is a lot of free parking and other shopping located around this Chapters store. A Starbucks is also located inside this Chapters. My shopping experiences have always been good here; friendly & helpful staff. We have bought books and toys here many times…

Suite is very clean and organized. There were always enough staff around to help. I find this store waaaay too easy to spend a ton of time in and walk out with way more then what I initially went in for. Do what you would like with that information. Overall enjoyable place.

I purchased 15 novels on sale in the end of last year. I think, those ones were Chapters' gifts for older people during the long winter. Thank you again for your good deal!

Great place for gifts. The free gift wrapping for children’s toys is a plus. And now we find there are many gift options for the hard to find teenager age group.

This is one of my favorite chapter's to shop at. Huge selection of manga and a Starbucks attached to it. What more could there be 😁😁 some staff members could be a little nicer but hey we all have bad days 😋

I love this Chapters! Really glad it is always around and has been around for a while. They always have everything I need in stock along with some additional sales. It is connected inside to the mall as well as Starbucks so you can park and not have to go outside to get to the rest of the mall. Super handy!

This Chapters at the Fairview Mall is super clean, super organized.. Very friendly staff, and their always willing to take the time out of what their doing to help find what your looking for. They literally have ever type of book, and magazine you could want or need, to read. They also have "help search for computers" that are super easy to use and will help direct you to where that book or magazine may be located within the store, the computer will also tell you if their sold out temporarily, or just don't carry that readable item you may be looking for. Love that they offered curb side! I ordered Christmas presents, received the email my order was ready then a quick call once I was in the parking lot and my ordered was brought to my car!! Easy peasy!

I was a bit nervous going in here the other day because it seemed very busy. However, the staff did an amazing job getting everyone in and out in of the checkout line in a timely manner. This store is always clean, it's easy to find things with all of the signs and I never feel rushed - even during the pandemic. My only complaint is their entrance/exit. It's a bit tight and hectic in there with people coming and going (since it was so busy) but that has NOTHING to do with the staff there, it's the way the building is set up, which is why I'm still giving 5 stars. Just wanted to let people know. It might be a bit less stressful to use the mall entrance rather than the main entrance beside starbucks.

So much more than a bookstore...knowledgeable attentive staff, and well displayed inventory. If it's not on the shelf, a helpful team member will guide you through the process of placing an order. I am mostly impressed by the amount of team members on the floor/at your service. Great location, ample parking.

Great book recommendations! The staff is very friendly, and outgoing. They treat you as if you were a family member. Definitely the closest thing to Disneyland. Minus the rides and the funny characters. But the magic is totally there! 😊

They're really nice. Just a little slow when you go to the counter to pick up a mobile order. No one ever says "someone will be with you in a few minutes," or anything similar even when cash is right there. Sometimes you have to just go find an employee and ask.

Used to be such a friendly pleasant environment. They've gotten way too focused on trying to sell you memberships and less on spending time helping customers out. Also bring back the kiosks where you can search up your book.

Very nice store but it would be preferred if they did not start hunting customers down 10 minutes prior to closing to pressure them to leave. On top of that shutting the mall access door completely and turning the lights off all while the store is still technically open. If you do not want to work the hours then perhaps retail is not for you.

Beth the manager was the most unprofessional person I have dealt with. She told me "by the way, Amazon sells books, feel free to shop there next time". This was loud and in front of 10 customers at the front of the St. Catharine's store. She is a horrible people manager, doesn't know how to remain calm, took everything personal and is an embarrassment to the entire establishment. All this over a $9 incorrect book order that THEY got wrong. Shameful. She should be fired for her incompetence.

Quiet store, good to shop alone there are limited staff available but it has a Starbucks. Good throwback to the past I don’t see many chapters around anymore. Very nostalgic experience. The gentleman who helped me check out was kind. I would come back. I would recommend they add private washrooms a lot easier with kids

My visit was for the Starbucks situated in the Chapters. It is a pretty large cafe and has about 10 tables of various sizes and styles, like small bistro-style, booth-style, and larger communal tables. I managed to get a nice window seat at a small bistro-style table to enjoy my chai tea. Overall the cafe looked very clean, I didn't even have to wipe off my table. My server was fast friendly and professional and the work area looked very organized and clean. The only downfall of this place is it's location, Fairview Mall and the surrounding area is not the nicest place, but I would go again.

As warm and inviting as any bookstore you could want to enter. The staff are very helpful, but not to "in-your-face" which make the experience even more pleasant. If you ask a question in a section chances are the staff are fully versed and excited to help answer anything you might want to know. Probably good reason why this is Canada's bookstore.

It was a pleasure shopping at this Chapters in St. Catharines. The store was well staffed & they were all so helpful. I was personally escorted to a book section by one staff who assisted me in picking out some titles & books. Because of her knowledge & advice, I purchased extra books from series. The young man in the Children's dept was also extremely helpful in choosing books for a 6 year old. There was such a well stocked variety of gifts that were just perfect for young pre teens, artistic & creative family members & the hard to buy for males. From art sets to chess sets & astrology & self help gifts, I bought many gifts & truly enjoyed the time browsing, choosing, accepting help & advice. The check out cashier was so pleasant & helpful as well. A great place to visit & shop!

This chapters is great! Just like the old days of chapters, before they changed most of their stores to 'indigo' and seem to have started focusing on more than just books. I always love stopping at this chapters when I'm in town, their book selection is great and also a lot of bargain books, which chapters sorta became 'known' for. I'd definitely check it out if ya feel like ya want that nostalgic chapters feeling!

Having a good idea of what I would like to read, and had a little trouble locating the subject matter. An employee helped me search for the author...saved time and was able to purchase the desired title. Too bad not enough indigo points to cover the cost but I'm getting there!

Very disappointed in the level of customer service. It is a sad thing when they dedicate more staff and time to mask policing than serving their customers. Zero tolerance for those who are unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons.

They have a wide selection of books, all very affordable. Staff will do their best to hunt down your choices. A wide variety of genres is available as well, and not the 'traditional' ones either. Games like Carcassonne and pandemic, as well as party games like Things In A Box. Support your local bookstores, we don't want then to go away.

This is, without a doubt, the chapters I've visited the most in my life. I've grown up with it, from running to the kids section for Thomas The Tank Engine trains, to buying endless quantities of Hardy Boys Books as a pre-teen, to plays and dramas, lifestyle and home books as an adult. The layout is second to none, the staff have always been wonderful, and the selection is always incredible. When I think Chapter's, I think of this location.

My favourite bookstore in the entire region. Great atmosphere and a wide selection. It also has a Starbucks for you to sip a coffee while you read a new book! I also recommend this Chapters if you need to get a quick gift, as they have a great selection of Knick-knacks.

A very helpful staff member helped me find the section I was looking for, then I had a wonderful conversation with the woman checking me out. She had read the book I bought and gave me a great recommendation for it, then I showed her a similar book I was reading, that she showed interest in. Thank you very much!

I am so happy that this store is still at this location. This location is our favorite store in the province, we travel a lot, this place always gave a welcome back home feeling and always has been a must stop place for us. Great variety in books and the home decor with other knacks are to a minimum. Other Chapters I been to felt more of a home decor than book store. Took my kids in today to treat them to new books. My youngest required attending to as he loved the Halloween books display. Staff floor - Mike - was awesome with my oldest. He showed him where the National Geographic science kits were and had him talking about science. We been to many Chapters, this staff member was a dime in a dozen being interactive with customers, especially to get a kid talking and explain an interest and showed him where things were located in the kids section and keep that learning interest alive. This place never disappointed me or my family. Keep up the good work!

Nice place to visit during this pandemic, staff are very helpful, variety of items with a good price. I would highly recommend this place to go for gift shopping. Enjoy it.

Had a bad experience at Chapters yesterday. It was my birthday so I went in to get 20% off some books, but I wasn't able to because I did not receive an email (with a code to give them). I did not receive an email because I had opted out of them. So just because I don't want spam emails, I can't get my birthday email either? I asked them if they could just override it to give me the 20% off but they said no. I think this was very wrong of them and I hope they change their policy.
