Wow this place is like treasure trove for books!!! Lotsa and lotsa books here ranging from all sort of unimaginable categories in a non pretentious sort of warehouse like building. The staff are super friendly, there is a section of "scratch and dent" at the back of the building where a lot of books only cost $1 , $2 and $3. There is a section by the wall with comfortable sofa that you sit and read the book. Music are soft and non intrusive. Overall it's an awesome place to come and kill time, browse and buy books! Love this place!!

Longtime customer and usually shop from their online store. Great selection of older books and the quality is good BUT Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired. They issue you bookmark coupon codes that NEVER work and by the time you order again and try to use them again, the codes have expired. SHADY way to do business. Customer Service tickets are ignored as well. They ask you to review their site and then ignore the reviews. If you want good quality reasonably priced books, you will get them. They offer lots of incentives and discounts but you probably won’t get any of these! I feel cheated by this company more often than not.

I have been coming here since I was a boy with my dad, when I lived in St Catharines. Now as an adult I still buy my books from here . Only difference is now I live in Toronto and do their delivery option. Prices are amazing, quality is top notch. If you have any issues they will resolve no problem. I love Book Outlet!

I would have given this place a 5 star rating, if they have seating arrangement inside option. With such a huge area providing plethora of books on uncountable genres, this place is a heavenly solace for bibliophiles. You will find books ranging from a dollar to few hundreds. You can spend your entire day peacefully at this place.

Cheap prices and books gate generally in very good condition. you can buy some beat up looking ones for cheaper. Selection isn’t too current but most books are $1-$7 in price.

This place is huge! Large variety of books. Especially children's books and audio books. Better to go looking to be surprised rather than hoping to find specific books. There is a bathroom on site, but you will have to get the staff to let you in.

I love visiting here. There are so many books in a large warehouse space which is clean and well lit. The back width of the store is completely dedicated to a children's section. If you like graphic novels, they have them too. The prices are beyond reasonable! There is also a website with free delivery over a certain price point. There is a rewards program that gives points for future purchases. Here's a book I purchased today; $31.99 CAN for $9.99 CAN I purchased $20 worth of books and used $20 worth of points, paying only the tax. Definitely worth visiting! Tracking information is not included with the email confirmation even though it says click here to track your shipment. When you email customer service to ask for the tracking information, they send you a link to their reply but you can only see it if you log in. How cumbersome and annoying. I won't place another order.

Poor Customer Experience and Poor Customer Service I got notified that they had a 15% off promo and placed a larger order only to see 5 days later that they had a 20% off promo and all of the items I JUST bought were on sale for an even deeper discount. I reached out hoping they would offer me a credit or a refund for the difference and got the following response: "In order to continually provide our customers with the best prices and ongoing promotions, we are unable to accommodate requests to honor the current sale." I mean really - I was looking for them to honour their current sale price not asking for any further discounts - there would be no impact to their ability to offer the best prices / promotions since that is the promo they had now anyway. While I generally enjoy shopping on their site and even in their store I will definitely think twice before placing any large orders and know not to expect any customer support from them.

pieces of very poor quality. the pieces rise and do not hold in place. There are even pieces where the design was pleated, piece with crocheted tip. really very cheap as a puzzle! I bought 3 differents puzzle, all 3 are the same cheap quality!! I do not recommend this product at all! Not worth 29$ for sure! I submitted a ticket but they closed it without reaching out to me! Very poor customer service!

Sent me the wrong book. Now the book is out of stock so I can’t even reorder the book. Waiting on customer service to contact me back about a refund. Hopefully I won’t have to submit a paypal claim. So unfortunate that this happened. I thought I found a good outlet book website.

I'm saddened to learn that this location will be closing its doors in about 5-weeks (mid-September) This location has always been a great place to pickup a selection of books, regardless of your genre choice. You can usually find something that you want to buy! I'm going to miss this spot 😥

BEWARE ORDERING ONLINE; DIFFICULT TRACKING; POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: Very disappointing first experience ordering online. A different version of the book was sent than what I ordered. I tried to exchange/return it through their online process. The customer service was rigid and unwilling to help stating I only had 5 days upon delivery to submit such a request. The delivery sat in my mailbox for the first 5 days unbeknownst to me so even through I submitted the request as soon as I saw the issue there was no willingness to accommodate. I assume this must happen a lot for them to have such policies - will support my local used bookstores going forward instead of ordering online.

This is one of my favourite places in the world. And the Boxing Day Sale is the best. 50% off all books. I got a value of over $500 of books for $107. So even full price that's $214. And we'll below half the original pricing. The photo below is only MOST of the children's section. This place is huge!!!

I love this place! Always great deals to be found! Be prepared to spend the day. It's a huge place to meander through. As an avid reader, I also shop on their website. Last time I ordered 13 adult books, including some hard covers, for a grand total of $48.78 delivered! Can't beat it!

I placed an order 8 days ago and understood that shipping would take 5-10 business days. I followed up to see where the package was and learned that the company had some sort of data breach and stopped shipping as of 9 days ago. The company did not send any sort of notification about the shipping delay and they did not have a clear answer about when the item would ship. Not great service. The items I purchased as a gift will not arrive on time. Consider another seller for your book purchases. Update: Book Outlet sent the items and refunded the entire order! Not happy with the problem but they certainly addressed it.

Really enjoy the store! Prices are amazing, and quality is great. Books are a bit older, and not necessarily new releases. If you really search you can find some signed editions as well! Asked an employee for a certain book and she just pointed to the general direction where it is rather then showing me where to find it, but besides that fairly good experience!

Good selection of books. Great prices and all books that I ordered were cheaper than Amazon.ca. Free delivery when you spend over $45. Some books had markings on them to indicate they were end of stock but that's not a big deal. Delivery was within the week.

We don't have anything like this in Calgary, I always stop at.the book outlet when I'm in Niagara. Some great deals to be had. Make sure you check out the scratch and dent section and tables for even more of a discount on some great reads.

I love this store and I will be going back very soon for more books. Its amazing how much stock they have and the prices can't be beat. It wasn't very busy while I was there so you have pretty much the whole store to yourself. Lots of children book to look through. This store has something for everyone. They have the books sorted by genre so its easy to find which section you want to be in. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. You need time to look through all the shelves!

Found my new favourite book store!!! Absolutely massive store with the best prices I’ve seen. Cute tote bags galore! Knowledgeable staff who were so sweet and helpful :) Large children’s section too. Tried to limit myself to three books and accidentally doubled it! Oops 😅

What a magical place. As a first time shopper, I was blown away by the vast selection of books and the array of genres available. Fully accessible with a mobility device and minimal stimulus - however there are florescent lights . Great place for knowledge seekers, avid readers, and young minds. I have made this my go to spot for books, games, toys, puzzles, and small craft/office wares.

Warning! Shady! I believe they trick you by taking books on and off their online store to create scarcity. I ordered the book I wanted (which was on and off the site) and added a bunch of others to meet the $45 free shipping criteria. Instead of letting me know that an item “was no longer available”, They sent out the package with the item missing but with all the filler books. I believe this is a trick they use to get people to meet the $45 shipping by buying a bunch of product to make up the difference. But the books they know are popular they don’t send these out. Then you’re stuck with a bunch stuff you only ordered to get the free shipping. Has this happened to anyone else. Please share.

This place is heaven! I love just browsing the aisles to see what i can find. I have been lucky enough to find almost the entire series of books i have been looking for here. I come back here every other week to see the updated inventory. It has become an activity i truly look forward to. The staff is incredibly friendly and are very knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back next weekend!

A great store for someone looking for a hardback to read at prices about one fourth of Chapters. In contemporary lit. they are great, if you give them a few years lag, as they sell remainders, not the latest billboard fare. But if the popular book you desire is a few years old you have a good chance of finding it there for 8 or 10 dollars.

This is a great place. I particularly miss the box sales they used to have. I’m really hoping this place doesn’t snuff it due to the difficulties from the pandemic. It would be a tragic loss to the book-loving community. Hang in there!

Sorry but still no book. To leave anything outside of the mailbox invites anyone passing by to take it. We live in a small group of mobile homes. Everyone here doesn't have my book. There are lots of people who walk by our cluster of mailboxes. I am disabled and can not walk and find this book.

They have box sales periodically that are great if you love collecting random books. I've gotten a few of my favourites from that sale. Their selection in the main store is quite nice too. No complaints from me. Good kids section, neat little trinkets and even a small clothing section.

I recently made 2 online purchases, the 1st for 10 books and the 2nd for 19. Both orders were received in full within a week and all the books were in excellent condition. (I live approximately 2 hours from the store). Yes they have a red dot or a small black line on the outside of the book across one side of the pages and I was aware of this when I placed my order; this doesn't affect the readability in the least. The prices are amazing and based on my recent purchases I'll definitely be buying more books here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Very pleased!

Large variety, good savings

I have ordered online about 7 times. All orders have been prompt with good quality books. Of all my purchases I believe 2 harcover books had slight rips to the book jacket. One was easily fixable and the other is still fine. I can't complain about it, it was a $70 retail price, award winning hardcover cookbook that I got for $30. I have had lots of success taking advantage of the sales combined with reward points and student discount. I now have tons of cookbooks and reading material for a heavily discounted price

Lots of different offerings. The trouble is how disorganized it is. Sure everything is divided by topics. Within those sections it it's chaos. You can find books on the website, but good luck locating it in the Welland ave mess. Also some titles are way overpriced.

Little tricky finding things now with their search pads removed due to covid, but there were plenty of staff around, asking if people needed help, and making recommendations.
