Unfortunately my experience here wasn't amazing. I don't often come here but decided to get my fishing license here. The associates were nice enough however they spelt my last name incorrectly. I went back the next day to get it fixed and they told me they couldn't do it and that I had to fix it on my own. Very frustrating, especially since they took my driver's license to get my name from and never asked for confirmation.

Wrote this review after several visits. We are new to the area, and do not know what the store was like before it was renovated, but the current version is way too tightly laid out, and with a less than intuitive design. Signage is cramped and difficult to read from a distance. Walking into the store, unless you’re familiar with the layout, you immediately stop to figure out where you’re going, which creates a bottleneck. Sale items are not easily viewed from where they are. I’ve been to many CT’s in my past, but none as confusing and poorly laid out as this one. Staff are hit and miss, but that’s to be expected. Mostly younger people, with a couple of surly cashiers. On the other hand, I did have some very helpful ones, particularly and older lady, somewhere near plumbing. I will return, but only because they offer the stuff that I need and are close.

ZERO stars! You'll want to think twice about going here for auto service. I went here for an A/C diagnostics and was quoted $2200 for a repair which included a new compressor etc etc etc. About four days later I took the vehicle to another shop and was told the compressor was working just fine and all that was required was a simple system recharge ($150). I will NEVER step foot in any canadian tire store for ANYTHING! Fraud alert!!!!

Worst experience ever. I bought a bike here and informed the employees that I will be riding this back home as my vehicle was in the mechanic and gas prices were surging. Since the bike had sat on shelf for a considerable amount of time, it was nearly flat. Yet Canadian Tire refused to fill my bike tire with air. So what happened? I rode on a flat tire all the way home. It was a super tough ride and my body is still aching. What bothers me most is that a business whose name specifically regards tires refused to fill my bike tire with free air when the tire is flat at the fault of the business due to shelf-sitting.

The people working in the garden centre are amazing. Friendly, with a great sense of humour. You can tell they enjoy working with each other and that is passed on via great customer service.

Took my truck in for an alignment a few months back. Truck was pulling to the side after I had a level kit installed. I understood that my truck wouldn’t be under warranty due to the level kit. What I don’t understand is how during an alignment the ‘tech’ would only adjust the toe and leave the camber completely out of alignment. Then refused to adjust the camber and said it was ok. Took my truck into a proper alignment shop ( Ace ) and had them adjust the camber. It’s perfect. No one was brave enough to call me back from Canadian tire to resolve the dispute so, I disputed with my bank and was returned all funds for their shotty work. I hope you don’t treat all vehicles and customers this way! As seen below, Lisa is known for her trashy customer service skills, hopefully your ratings aren’t jeprodized by her

The store is nicely stocked and very clean. Our first time in this store and was trying to get keys cut. The machine inside the store only takes credit cards and all I had was my debit. The “female employee “ standing right there would not even give us eye contact and didn’t tell us we could get keys cut inside their store. She would have just let us leave instead acknowledging us. What kind of employee is that? She was right there!!!

I keep coming back to this store!!!! The best staff, so clean and such lovely displays (always nicely stocked) My newest favourite is this line - Quark. The quality is simply amazing and such a great gift for a mom with a baby starting solids. For $40, to have utensils, a section plate and a bib with this kind of quality is absolutely unbelievable. I have a few moms in mind that I will be shopping this line for them :) Will definitely (AGAIN) visit this store :)

Discovered front end shock and strut issues that needed immediate repair and in the process was advised that front bearings and tires needed to be replaced . Was given scope of work and pricing. Left and got competitive quote. Returned to CT and spoke with Lisa the Service Manager. She was great and we reached agreement on the work to be done, all in cost including HST and timing - virtually next day. Most cordial and helpful/ Thank you Lisa and CT. 5 stars!

Clean store. Shelves all full merchandise. No empty spots for good. Well stocked, well organized. Lots of staff all over the place. Doing random jobs of their own but very eager and willing to stop what they're doing to help cater to your questions and needs. Even making it a multiple staff operation and a team effort to help answer your question or find the item your looking for. Very knowledgeable and polite staff I found. For once. Isn't always the case but it sure was at this location. Thank you Canadian Tire.. thank you!... haha 😄

I've been coming here fairly frequently since moving nearby a year ago. My biggest complaint is the staff at the front of the store. To start with there are always 2 or more blocking the entrance having a personal conversation. They don't ever look at you or acknowledge you but you have to awkwardly walk between them to enter the store. Never even a smile. Also around customer service and checkouts, carrying on conversations amongst the excess of staff standing around, truly feels like you are interrupting them to pay and leave. At the same time it is so hard to get anyone to help throughout the store. Pretty consistent experience every time. Other than that it's just a typical Canadian Tire. I've had moderate success finding things in stock here.

I recommend shopping at Canadian Tire. The selection of products are huge, and will satisfy your every possible need. The items are well displayed, and shelves are stocked. The prices are comparable, and better when you can find exactly what you need, and want on sale. Staff is helpful and polite. Staff will help you with a large item to you vehicle if needed. This is my go to store.

The most confusing and chaotic CT I've been too. They had a handful of 'students' (young people not in uniforms) helping stock or organize shelves...but they had no regard for any of the shoppers. They were blocking the isles, being loud and carrying a conversation between isles (so I couldn't converse with the person beside me), and would step in front of shoppers without saying a word, to place items on the Xmas isles...'excuse me' goes a long way! It's a shame there wasn't a staff supporting them with this task

Asked for bag check for no reason this morning, and I did not even carry a large bag with me. I saw many people carry a large carry-on bag or purse enter the store. Did you check everyone? If you don’t want people carry bags to enter your store, there should be at least one employee to guild people at the entrance. I tried to speak to them, but the answer was this is our policy, I am done taking with you.

I don't know why the bathroom is filthy and smells so bad every time I have to use it. I could understand if it was on occasion, but every time! (Called the number two times first call the person on the other end took my name and number then asked what my call was about. As soon as I told the person it was about a review they hung up on me. I could understand sometimes things happen but why didn't they call me back they did take my number. So I called back a second time, spent another ten minutes on hold then was sent to a prompt that was asking for a pin. Lol I don't know wants going on here canadian tire but clearly your just trying to save face with the public and not trying to actually rectify the problem. I wonder how many other people have issues with the washroom cleanliness.)

I would give this store zero stars if I could. The auto centre (Lisa in particular) has horrid customer service and communication skills. They ripped off my door handle and chose to inform me it was loose but not that it came completely off. When I got home I went to open the passenger door and it fell into my hands. Had she told me it came off instead of it being just “loose” I would have had it fixed then. But instead it was just placed on. I phoned when I got home and Lisa lied saying she told me and even asked if I wanted my door handle placed in the car so it didn’t fall off on the way home. If she said that I would’ve realized it came off COMPLETELY but she lied to me not once but twice. She said she would phone back with information on a new door handle and has failed to do so. Never going back again I’ll take my business to Tire Craft.

Best Canadian Tire auto centre. Service is second to none, very thorough and very kind staff. The only place I'll go when I need work done we can't easily do ourselves!

I always have my backpack with me to make walking with my purchases easier. I’ll never shop here again, I could be wearing all my jewellery and designer and they make me leave my backpack at the front, while ratchet women are walking around with huge tote bags and purses. If you’re going to enforce an anti theft policy make it fair, I’d start wearing a purse to make a point if I cared enough to come back. Reason #2 I’ll never come back is every corner you turn there’s some very persistent kid trying to sell you a credit card or some other stuff. I’m just trying to shop leave me alone.

We needed to bring our truck in for a repair, the gentleman who was helping us was really great and very helpful. I hate big businesses too people but there are a few good people within the big businesses who make having to go there a pleasant experience. REMEMBER TO THANK THE PEOPLE WHO CHOOSE TO WORK DURING THE PANDEMIC FOR THEIR SERVICES BECAUSE WITHOUT THEM WE WOULD BE SCREWED. I KNOW THAT WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO DRIVE OUR VEHICLE WITHOUT THE FINE MEN AND WOMEN AT CANADIAN TIRE

This is the better Canadian Tires around St. Catharines. Staff are helpful when asked a question. Currently undergoing a reno, but I was told the firearms are still going to be here. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

This was the absolute most tragic excuse of customer service I have ever heard of in the entire existence of retail stores. The shameful answers I got upon me asking for a different colour lava lamp were abominable. Upon entering the store I over heard several staff members loudly making complaints about “ answering the dumb questions customers have” because they/she doesn’t know the answer. I a fully vaccinated White woman whose father survived the titanic and graciously came over to Canada am appalled. After the rude young lady told me that she could not help me and to just go to customer service, but did not even tell me where it was or offered to assist me further. I myself A fully vaccinated white woman in Canada whose father survived the titanic found a ladder just laying around may I add, climbed all the way up to the top of the shelf to surprisingly find the blue lava lamp I wanted in the first place. Moral of this complaint is if that young lady had just helped me or asked one of the young men to get up on the ladder we could’ve resolve this problem much sooner. Please consider retraining all staff on customer service. Have a blessed day.

Had to pick up a cpl presents for the kids. Spoke to a store rep...Ben...he went above and beyond to assist me remotely until I could get into St Kitts. Keep this employee as long as you can. He was exactly what CT needs to service customers. Give him the Staff Member of the Month Award! Lol. Besides this, I always support CT, good quality items which they stand behind and the Options poi to are a nice loyalty reward system for customers. Great visit as always.

I couldn't find the bulb I was looking for and went to the parts counter but then waited 5+ minutes. Someone in the back looked over at me multiple times but never came over which is highly unusual for this location. A man in the store who walked past me twice while I was waiting ended up asking me what I was waiting/looking for and led me over to it instead of store staff helping me. Huge thanks to the Good Samaritan. I have to wonder what was up that day as it was hard to find store staff in other parts of the store as well.

Nice clean store, recently they have changed the layout and it's a bit confusing to find certain products as the store is packed tightly but with the help of one of the many staff members on the floor I was pointed in the right direction. The Party City section is a bit strange for a place like Canadian Tire but they've got the essentials and more if you're in a pinch. The store feels a bit more cozy, less like a hardware store with its renovations but so the essentials are there. Great parking lot.

I do not recommend the store....Make a big fuss about $5.00 because I bought the same product at another Canadian Tire Store. Yes I had my original bill and the manager in the store treated me like some nimcumpoop. I want to personally thank the Canadian Tire Head office for taking the time to listen to my concerns..I asked to have the store owner call me directly but never got the phone call. I was not intending to write this negative review initially but got an IMPERSONAL survey instead.... Not impressed..NO I do not recommend this store... Bad Service is bad service..Customers are not always right but this customer clearly knew the product was advertised on corporate website..I am doing my shopping in Welland with the brand new modern store and with excellent customer service. I do not need an education regarding your company .I am well aware of that stores are franchised...I took my refund at the store of purchase and bought merchandise at another Canadian Tire Store.. There is clearly a NEED for improvement of service...at this store...and that includes the managers. I have spend thousands of dollars over the years at Canadian tire..Its called respect and appreciation for my business.Afterall you do have competitors and that includes other Canadian Tire Stores, Walmart and yes Costco. Awful complicated refund policy even if you have the original bill. What a complete waste of time with manager making a fuss about $5.00. PS My next purchase was over $40.00. I say DO THE math and worry about negative reviews like these that drive customers away to shop at other stores....

Not the sharpest tool in the shed. The manager is the reason, because if you have a problem she is not there for nobody. The employees try their best, but are limited in actions because they don't have a leader. Everything is down their moral is in the basement and costumer care the same.

Went looking for a propane tank for a torch. On the app it said it was on the hardware wall, no isle # and not marked in store. I asked a young man and he directed me to the tool isles. Self checkout was quick but I'm not sure my points card was scanned. 5 stars cause I wasn't bothered while shopping until I needed help and staff were around.

Store is clean and well laid out. Recently paid 75$ for a fan that stopped working in 2 days of use. Store doesn't accept returns for open box and would have me contact the company for repair options. Bought a 30$ fan that's lasted longer and have to say I'm incredibly disappointed at the quality of the products they offer.

The service department at this St Catharines store is really good. I like how they do an in-depth inspection when you go for an oil change and not only tell you if there are any problems but SHOW YOU the problem(s). It sure does help give you peace of mind especially when you are planning a long trip. Kudos to the service adviser and her team of mechanics for making us feel that they care.

I was told that tire balancing was included with installation but that wasn’t the case on the invoice. Also when went there in person I was told that they can’t service the car. I called them 20min later to schedule the appointment and over the phone they told me that I can bring the car in no problem. Wow just wow, what a terrible experience!!!

Awesome selection of ammo and firearms, compared to other Canadian tires in the region they are top tier in that section. Will definitely recommend my buddies to shop there instead of bass pro or NAS guns and ammo.
