WARNING TO ALL BRIDES!!! We were so excited to have our wedding catered by Queens Landing. Niagara-on-the-lake has always been such a dream and we couldn't wait to get married there and have it catered by one of our favourite places. However, from the moment we signed our contract all the way to after our wedding day, Vintage Hotels broke their contract and all of their promises and did not follow through on one item, let alone make any of it an enjoyable experience for a soon-to-be-wed couple. Here is what happened with zero exaggeration: 1. In our contract they put aside 5 rooms for our guests (of a 200 person wedding) and wouldn't let us hold any more. We tell our guests hurry and start booking because we have limited rooms. Soon after that, we get phone call after phone call saying that guests are trying to book and not only do they not have a room block on hold for us but they have never heard of this wedding. I call and ask what is going on... THEY HAVE SOLD OUT FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Completely broke our contract and we got 0 rooms at Queens Landing. 2. We call all of our guests back and apologize and say to instead book at their sister hotel because they sold out for our wedding. We then get AGAIN phone call after phone call saying they only have 2 rooms on hold not 5... 3. Your wedding night is supposed to be complimentary (although in my opinion you should get your entire wedding weekend complimentary because they are not a cheap caterer...) They not only did not follow through on this but they double charged us for the hotel. I had to call back after our wedding because they processed too much on my credit card. 4. Our tasting was supposed to be for us and both our parents. We get there and it is just set up for two people. They argued to us in front of our parents saying they are only set up for 2 people and they can't accommodate more and they even went as far as printing the contract, shoving it in our faces. 5. All of our payments were scheduled to be spread out over the course of the year. Someone "forgot" to process these and ALL of the payments were squished into the last 2 months right before our wedding. You can imagine how much money this was and to have it all come out 2 months before your wedding is incredibly stressful and uncomfortable to say the very least. 6. Out of all of this, we had expressed our disappointment several times and no one cared. We spoke to several Vintage Hotel employees and all they could offer us was a discount on their trolley which only started at 5pm and we needed to be at our venue at 3pm - zero use to us. 7. After all of this struggle before the wedding day... the day of was just as bad. They were understaffed for our wedding (that was booked a year in advance) and made us 40+ mins behind schedule. This actually resulted in us having to cut half of the mother and son dance in order to get the dessert out. So sad. 8. We had place settings saying what each guest ordered and communicated this in advance along with the seating chart. Several people were served the wrong items which was very scary considering that quite a few people had severe allergies. I wish I had this warning before we booked as I certainly wouldn't have moved forward. I felt uneasy right from the beginning and no one at the entire company did anything to reassure us. It is very unfortunate as it is your wedding day and not just "any" event. I strongly suggest to all brides considering Vintage Hotels to look elsewhere. Happy to share more of what we went through with all brides-to-be. Please take my advice and do not book anything with Vintage Hotels for your special day.

A group of people and myself recently took a trolley wine tour provided through Vintage hotels. We were in Niagara on the lake celebrating my girlfriends birthday, and the tour was a surprise for her. The tour guide Margaret could not have been ruder. She constantly rushed and shushed people on the tour (both in other groups, and in ours). At one point, she left a winery without one of the couples on the tour with us, and they had to run after the trolley as it was pulling out. And to cap it all off, she accused my girlfriend of sneaking into the bathroom to drink an entire bottle of wine. She had purchased the wine, and simply had it in the bathroom with her in a bag. It was the worst experience we had ever had, and the tour director never returned my calls when I called to complain. I would not recommend this tour, nor this hotel for being associated with this tour. Don't let it ruin your trip to an otherwise beautiful area like we did.

We have stayed at the Millcroft before it became part of the Lais group. We also stayed at the Pillar and Post recently. Both have gone down in service and up in price. The P & P needs a significant upgrade to the rooms. Currently we're at the Millcroft. Last night, -20 c, no heat in the room. We had a fireplace, and while we were in front of it, we were ok. Wake up around 11 pm last night, fire's out, realize the radiators aren't working. Call the front desk repeatedly, no answer. Can't drive anywhere, we'd both had been drinking. So we huddled together slept in our clothes, robes and all the blankets we could find. The temperature in the room was 6 degrees. Lots of apologies this morning, tech guy brings us a portable heater, can't fix the rads. Given an extension to noon to check out (wow) I don't know if it's because the parent company lacks leadership, or if Covid has just wrecked everything, but this used to be a great place to stay, not sure we'll be staying at any of the Vintage hotels anymore, especially this one. Just got a knock and told our check out is 11... Nope, not coming back here

The Jordan House Tavern has horrible service and customer service. I have tried to give bar several chances. Servers have walked past me on numerous occasions. I have had to get my own menu and ask for my own drink. Me and a friend waited for over 45 minutes to get another drink so I just went to the bar and paid and left this happened the very last day before the third lockdown. You would think with restaurants and bars constantly closing servers would be putting there best foot forward. I guess not. I will never go back to the Jordan house again. Horrible service from all the servers and bartenders.

Very poor customer service skills. Stayed at a B&B, much better experience. I gave Vintage a chance to redeem but they did not even return my email. Vintage as fine years ago but has lost its shine.

Tried to book an event at one of the hotels. We went to the hotel and were given a tour. We asked about certain dates for our event and they promised to email us regarding availability. They never emailed us. We emailed them to follow up and they just ignored us and never responded. We really wanted to hold our event here and they just wasted our time.

The rooms are small , very simple and nothing special for the price you pay . Thought we will be getting a room that is different from every other hotel we have been to , but it’s your ordinary hotel room if not much smaller. The heater was making a very loud noise throughout the night , bed was okay and in general not worth what you pay for . Overpriced food , accommodation, drinks and everything.

We had a great time. We enjoyed their wine trolly tour, the indoor pool and had great meals during our stay.

We have stayed at VI properties on and off for years. Most recent stay at Pillar and Post was ok. Staff are professional and friendly. Food is awesome. However the property is outdated and clearly in need of regular maintenance. Fresh paint, new carpets, mould removal from a shower is needed... Hot springs spa looks old and needs an update. All in all good stay but not 5 stars.

Top notch customer service, especially through the COVID pandemic. The staff that have answered the phone and have assisted with inquiries have always been super personable, polite and accommodating. Really high standard of quality here.

Another great β€œGirls’ Getaway” this week at the Pillar and Post in NOTL. Enjoyable afternoon by the pool with lunch and a swim, followed by fine dining in the Cannery Restaurant. Great service! Our favourite place to meet!
