Today
I
thought
I
was
returning
$132
worth
of
merchandise
to
the
St.
Catharines
store.
The
staff
person's
first
comment
was
that
the
30-day
limit
had
past
by
weeks
therefore
I
was
not
entitled
to
a
refund.
I
explained
I
am
a
high-risk
older
person
and
that
I
have
had
to
limit
my
contact
with
the
public
because
of
Covid19.
She
then
lectured
me
about
how
the
store
has
been
safe
for
me
to
come
in
since
either
May
or
June,
despite
my
high-risk
medical
conditions.
Then
she
scanned
my
items
and
then
told
me
they
were
worth
only
2/3rds
of
what
I
paid
and
that
was
all
I
would
have
been
entitled!
I
asked
the
staff
person
why
I
would
get
less
than
what
I
paid.
"That's
the
policy"
she
stated.
As
I
was
about
to
ask
for
management,
the
staff
person
stated
I
could
have
the
money
returned
in
gift
card.
I
have
bought
thousands
of
dollars
in
clothing
from
Pennintons
and
never
have
I
come
across
such
a
cold,
dismissive
person
like
her.
Never.
If
I
could
have
a
gift
card,
why
did
she
immediately
dismiss
me,
my
explanation,
tell
me
the
clothes
would
be
worth
less
even
if
I
did
get
my
money
back,
and
then
tell
me
I
had
no
excuse
for
not
bringing
the
clothing
back
sooner?
Talk
about
an
uncomfortable
and
stressful
visit
to
a
store
I
had
every
intention
of
purchasing
some
of
my
Fall
wardrobe
after
finishing
with
the
return
but
I
couldn't
get
out
of
there
quick
enough.
