Hard to find how to get into the front entrance. The girl at the takeout window told me l couldn't be in the drive thru lane but l wanted to ask how to get in to dine in. I found out but had to cross the drive thru exit to get in because that's where they had to turn right to get to the mall parking lot exit. For dine in the burgers and fries were barely warm.

Two stars bc the original associates who helped were wonderful. I also want to say that my experience at Gamestop is usually top notch and i think this is an outlier experience. Basically, you might get unlucky and deal with one associate who will give you a much lower trade in value than the other associates and other gamestops in the region. I just traded in my switch at a different store for 170ish (bc of joycon stick drift) - which is awesome, I’m so happy about that… but only after having a poor experience at this store. But originally a few weeks ago i went in to the Pen GameStop with my switch and the two associates who helped me were wonderful. They quoted me 190 before a performance test- but i was missing my dock’s back plate and so they told me that there’d be a small deduction from my trade in value. I opted to go home and try and find my back plate. I couldnt find it; about a week later i went in ready to take my loss in credit. But a different store associate (store assistant manager) was helping and they said with the missing backplate the deduction of credit is 65$. I get it - i worked trade ins at Best Buy and the POS sometimes doesnt give any flexibility for missing accessories. I declined and eventually found my back plate a week later i went back- happy to finally be able to get the 190. the same assistant manager took a look at my switch without testing it and told me my switch was in bad cosmetic shape - id still only get 125$. I was upset and asked about what this new discrepancy was about. She told me that the previous associates must not have done their due dilligence in checking the switchs cosmetic state. So i declined obviously, and went to a different gamestop in the region. The associated quoted me 190 at first look, but my dock was having issues. He was wonderful and even gave me troubleshooting advice. I took it home, dusted it and it worked well so brought it to a THIRD store close to my house. They tested the unit and gave me 170ish bc of the joycon drift after testing which i was happy with. Dont go to the Pen for trade ins; you might be unlucky and deal with an assistant manager who will give you a widely poorer credit value and customer experience.

They never have any selection on anything. The employee's don't know what's out for pre order. I have also been lied to about Amiibo stock in other stores. EB Games in Welland is much, much better in terms of product and service.

There's a man there, likely in his 40's? Hard to tell over the phone. Pure scumbag. I had an item on hold to be shipped to another location due to limited stock, was promised to me by another associate there (who was great). This guy tells me he's placed one on hold for me at another location closer to me so he can sell it at his location. I call my location and confirmed they do not have it in stock. Now there are none left in all of Ontario, and it looks like I won't be getting one =_=. I hope this guy has a really bad day.

Releases product early without letting people know, came in on a release day for a product and it was sold out as they released it a day early. Not right for people who come in on opening of release days guys. Edit: spoke with head office. If you sold these products before release date, you will be fined. When I came into the store you told me that you sold out of them yesterday as you released them early. Very disappointed in this.

I came to the Midnight release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and received the wrong copy. That said, I have been coming to this store for awhile and do not want to cost them patronage for an honest mistake. It wasnt even the clerk's fault that night, whomever took my order input the wrong version, and I could have had the sense to check my bag before leaving. I'd like to apologize if I was rude with any of them. The staff is always friendly, and the manager is a particularly alacritous and warm fellow. He clearly is passionate about the products the business sells. He goes out of his way to set up pokemon-related events for his customers where many other stores wouldn't be bothered with the logistics. On that note, shout out to his staff for working said midnight release. I know how rough it is working in retail, and the team was under no legal obligation to come in for the release. They did this out of their love of the game and the hobby. The very clerk I picked up my copy from last night was working this morning. That's dedication. Trust me when I say that this is one of the better stores for customer service and treatment, and that they will try the best within the constraints of corporate policy to resolve any issues they can for you.

Nice variety of games, toys, and collectibles located in the Pen Centre mall. Store is small and feels cramped when youre in it

By far the worst staff ever to deal with. Uneducated, foul attitudes you will experience here. To all, bring ur hard earned money to other locations like the one next FairView Mall or the niagara falls gamestop. They are 10X more pleasant staff members that will go way beyond to get you what u need. Pen Center location could care less. You will understand as soon as they give off their miserable attitudes.

little variety in games and employees always speak in a condescending tone; their boss is a meathead who hates his life. I called in the other day and the man who "helped" me gave me very little info on the game I was asking about. Found better luck at the Fairview Mall.

This is a our local GameStop and our favourite! Good selection of games, merch, and a very friendly team. Special shoutout to Brad for always being so patient and personable. Brad always informs us on the best deals and makes some great reccomendations on upcoming games. Great place to shop if you're a gamer or shopping for one.

Great customer service and great experience. Found most of the items I was looking for, including a Zelda game. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a small store but there's lots of cool stuff in there!

The store is sadly renamed to "Gamestop" now. The store is quite small but easy to navigate. Sometimes it's hard to find items you're looking for because they'll be spread out everywhere. Dungeons and Dragons merchandise can often be found to the right side of the store near the ninendo switch items, but last time I went in there were only die sets on the opposite side of the store and nothing where there's usually merchandise relating to d&d. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Merchandise is often of good quality and the store is quite easy to access once you're in the mall (right near the foodcourt)

Picked up a pre ordered game. Happy about that. The manager is by far the best staff member. Helpful and positive. The girls are nice, although a bit aggressive when walking into the store regarding sanitizing hands. Customer service should still be practiced. Also, noticed they seem to pick and choose who is required to sanitize before entering. All in all a good store with good staff

Some employees have a shocking lack of video game knowledge working at a video game store.

The only GameStop around that had the new OPC Hockey card large sized box… and with my Edge card, was worth the money.. BTW: It was the St Catharines, Pen Center Store

Store is a mess, no room move, live on the edge staff, and rule breakers.

I have always had positive experiences with this location. Staff have always been friendly and helpful regardless of who I have dealt with. We were doing a pre-order as well as picking up an online order in store, and both were seemless experiences.

For a small mall location it's packed with all the cool stuff that you want to find at an EB games store. If you are looking for collectibles they have them, video games and gaming systems. The staff are friendly and helpful. When at the Pen Centre it's a must stop in.

Went in to trade some games and pick up something new. Got more money than I expected for my old ps3 games AND they the game I was looking for in stock. Staff was super nice and very helpful. They do suffer from having such a small space, but that's not their fault. Fantastic experience all around!

Do not shop here. They consistently hire rude and incosiderate staff. You can't ask them anything without recieving a scoff and some attitude. There is a nice employee from time to time but the consistent staff that I have seen there over the past 10+ years are terrible. The managment at this location needs significant restructuring. I understand the annoyance around being asked the same question multiple times a day or week. But thats what customer service is.
