The receptionist just so rude , she should not be working in patient care service! I came to my appointment 10 minutes before she was really rude why i came in. I had to bring my little one since I have no one to watch her and she said she can’t come in . I have been waiting for My appointment 6 months.. 3 people was sitting in the waiting room but my little 3 year old can’t come in because only 1 people are allowed to be in there…. Horrible Horrible!

In 2003, I visited Dr. Nowicki for the first and last time, referred by the Brock University Student Health Services Unit. I was referred for severe intermittent abdominal pain and it was supposed to be a consultation only. I was 20 years old and still a virgin at the time. I'd never been to a gynecologist before. It was unclear whether or not he was listening to anything I said. He had his back to me and head down and didn't ask me any questions about the pain or about why I was referred. He asked to do a pap which I wasn't prepared for but reluctantly agreed to because I trusted him as a doctor. He used a speculum that was entirely too large for my small frame and it hurt. It hurt a lot.. I was bleeding and crying and I started begging him to stop. His response was to yell at me. He told me I wasn't doing it right and I needed to bear down, as if I'd have any idea what that meant. When it was over he told me I would spot for a few days. When I stopped crying and got up to get dressed there was a significant puddle of blood on the table. I put my clothes on and walked out into the waiting room still in tears, his receptionist said they didn't have any sanitary napkins so I was forced to stuff my underwear with toilet paper. Everyone in the waiting room heard what had transpired and not one of them could bring themselves to look at me. I cried all the way home and nearly hurt myself because of it. I felt violated. It was the worst day of my life. And I'm still traumatized because of it. I should have said something to someone back then. I regret that he still has the capacity to do this to more people. His Google reviews suggest I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Robbie at the front desk was amazing! What started as a joyful experience (being pregnant) turned into a very sad moment when we lost the baby. The compassion and kindness she showed me really meant a lot during the difficult time. Dr. Nowicki also handled the situation with compassion and made sure I had a clear understanding of what to expect next.

Dr. Nowicki put my IUD in about 6 years ago. About 2 years ago. I called in hopes to make an apt to have it taken out and/or replaced. I was told I would need a referral from my family doctor, so That is what I did. A few months later I called to ensure they had received my referral. I spoke to someone at the answering service who was extremely rude and was unable to confirm or deny whether or not my referral had been received because it was “just the answering service” and was instructed to call in the morning. The next morning I called and there was no answer. Since then I have called 50+ times and have been treated poorly every single time. At one point I was told there was a list 80+ people long because of covid and that they were getting through a couple of people Per day. That was months ago. More recently I explained my concern about having an expired IUD to which the lady on the answering service replied “it’s okay, some people forget about them and have them in for years after they are supposed to” EXCUSE ME?! This is absolutely ridiculous. No other doctor is able to take it out because it is policy to have it removed by the same doctor who put it in. I called again today and again. No answer. I am not surprised at all to see all the other negative experiences. Not sure how on earth this doctor is still allowed to practise and will be looking into how to escalate these occurrences.

I had apprehensions regarding seeing Dr. Nowicki as a result of some of the reviews. I had my appointment today. It was very organized, on time and stress-free. The doctor was pleasant and thorough and to the point and his nurse Sharon, who came in during the exam kept me preoccupied, so that was the most, for lack of a better word comfortable exam I have ever had. I told her she should have a badge on that says the distractor . All in all I give the doctor and staff five stars.

I will NEVER go here again , I am writing this as in a waiting room the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. Not only did she make me wanna cry after 30 seconds of being there but then I heard her being rude to another patient and he asked her if she even knows how to be polite she was Slamming doors. Really ruined my day.

I am giving this a zero star! This is my first experience with Dr.Nowicki and his staff and it was AWFUL! I’m not going to go into details but the nurse needs to have some compassion for the patients, and honestly should not work in a doctors office anymore!! She told me I cannot go to the St.Catharines hospital because they won’t help me and they will just refer me back to Dr.Nowicki, well that was a LIE! I went to the hospital Friday morning and every staff member there said thank god I did go to the hospital! I ended up having to have emergency surgery! If I listened to Dr.Nowicki’s nurse god knows what would have happened to me! Brutal! I have never dealt with someone so heartless! If you have to I would highly recommend going to Hamilton or Burlington which is what I should have done in the first place! If Dr.Nowicki would have just listened to me when I asked for an ultrasound the first time instead of getting told no I wouldn’t be in this situation!

One of the worst doctor experiences I’ve ever had. The receptionist ignored multiple messages I left to operators to contact me after being denied into hospital for a surgery. A whole week later and no contact - even after I was in hospital ER due to extreme pain, nausea, and nonstop vomiting just a few days prior (This info was sent to Dr. Nowickis office). The receptionist was extremely rude when I finally got through on the phone, including she demand I walk to the office within an hour - mind you I am on many medications now, the office is not close to me, it’s dead of winter, and I’m pregnant. They still expected me to be comfortable going in for a surgery that I would be asleep for after all this, no way.

The receptionist should be fired ! Absolutely rude! Not sure how she still has a job ! I called and asked a simple question regarding my referral to their office and she told me flat “no” that she was working. Horrible first impression of the care one would receive at that office.

If I could leave negative stars I certainly would. Posting on behalf of my girlfriend, this was the worst experience from a medical professional and office we have ever experienced. She was waiting for them to return multiple phone calls and voicemails for two weeks. Finally the receptionist picks up the phone and claims they never received anything, even though she spoke with the on call/after hours operator on two separate occasions. We were assured they had received the messages and were getting in contact with us soon. The receptionist now tells my pregnant girlfriend to walk to the clinic in the snow because I'm at work and they have to see her now or never. Who tells a pregnant woman they have to walk in the winter (with no side walks due to massive snow falls) because they can't wait an hour for her to get a ride? I'm sorry but maybe if you would have called us back two weeks ago you could have fit us in your schedule a bit better. This is ridiculous if you can't handle being professional and productive and can't return phone calls in a timely manner or at all maybe just retire? Don't go here if you want to have even the most basic communication with a obgyn.

This man is a horrible doctor and shouldn't be practicing. Him and his staff are both rude. He has horrible bedside manners and wouldn't really answer my questions clearly. Was referred to him for a surgery and that was the biggest mistake of my life. I was in so much pain that left me hospitalized for a week with other doctors not being able to figure out why. He didn't prescribed me any painkillers and now years later I'm having miscarriages that doctors can't figure out why. I wouldn't recommend anyone seeing this doctor.

What kind of doctor would perform 3 different surgeries on a womans reproductive organs in the same day and not prescribe any painkillers after shes been released? Atrocious. A gynocologist should know how sensitive that area is.

His staff have caused nothing but stress for my girlfriend, impossible to get in touch with for follow-up appointments. Apparently they have variable lunch times and consistently hang-up on clientele. Its caused nothing but stress to have to work around this ridiculous schedule.

I woul love to tell everyone the great experience I have with Dr. Nowicki. It was my first time visiting the office but what i read and some of these reviews let me scare but going there was a total different . From I enter the receptionist was professional and friendly. Dr Nowicki was so informative, friendly and also the assistance. Thanks everyone!!

He delivered 2 of my children. Very pleased with the care I got from him during both of my pregnancies. Very nice man and his staff are very nice as well.

Great, knowledgeable doctor. Not overly warm or fuzzy but he gives you all the information you need without scaring you. He lets you know when to be concerned about a test results. Great follow up. Receptionist is kind, nurse is great, very friendly.

He has done both my c sections saved me from bleeding out on my last child . I would high recommend him he’s knowledgeable caring and knows what he is doing . I don’t think a new doctor would of been able to do my last c section . He’s straight to the point and is very honest which I totally respect .

He is an amazing doctor. I've had my initial iud and my replacement both done by him, and I wouldn't go to anyone else. If you want to be confident you have a doctor who knows what he's doing, 100% would recommend.

He is an amazing OB - have had him for 10 years and through 2 babies! He is an amazing surgeon who gives you straight facts and doesn’t sugar coat anything. He is kind and compassionate - will miss him terribly when he retires.

The receptionist must have some sort of complex issue with her job , she should not he working in patient care services at all. Most disgusting rude interaction i have ever had with someone over the phone. I will be reconsidering even attending my apt based on reviews and that interaction alone. Highly suggest if you want to be treated with respect dont even bother coming here.

The front receptionist should not work in patient care. Love the dr and the other nurse but the receptionist was horribly rude every time I went there for my pregnancy appointments. Since you have to pee every time for an appointment the one time I didn’t bring a purse just my wallet keys and phone no one else was in the office so I just was gonna sit them down on the chair real quick while I went pee quick she got so upset and gave me horrible attitude saying I can’t put my stuff down or she’s gonna have to sanitize it and that the waiting room wasn’t to be used at all I tried to tell her I didn’t want to bring them in the bathroom and I would be really quick but was just so rude I didn’t have time to argue so I said screw it and just brought them in. Also being an ob office you’d think they’d understand woman have children and can’t always find a sitter but she was never understanding about that and rude and you’d expect for your 6 week appointment that you could bring your newborn but nope.

Doctor is amazing But secretary is very rude. She yelled at my son because he went from one seat to another ( to sit closer to me) Then tried to tell me that the health department put the rules in place that we had to come alone and needed to wear a mask, when i called the health department they said there was no such rules put in place and if there was it would be for all doctor offices not just theirs. He then told me it was up the the doctor to make them rules. They dont answer their phones and when they do they are very rude, i got yelled at because i had to change my appointment due to being sick. And they work on their time not yours. I told her i cant come before 1 and i have to be out by 2 to get my kids from School and she got annoyed and statted giving me attitude. Would Not work with my schedule at all.

All I have to say is this man and his staff....SAVED MY LIFE!!!! Thank you Dr. Nowicki for getting my surgery/diagnosis and referral to Jurvinski so very quickly!! Maybe all of those that gave a bad review should "review" their own behavior/attitude...I found Dr. Nowicki and his staff extremely compassionate....

I’ve never met a more frustrating doctors office in my life! The receptionist made my 3 year old cry by yelling at him for simply sitting on a chair and then yell at me for being here early ! Dr nowickis tone and attitude when he called me was rude and unprofessional. Also if you’re going to have a waiting room don’t yell at people for coming 5 minutes early for an appointment! I’m so mad I’m shaking this place was a joke and I highly recommend a different doctor if someone suggests him ! I’m sorry but if you are afraid of covid because you are 100 simply retire!
