😠 Hi Kiwanis Club. I feel disappointed and sad about my experience today. I booked the swimming pool at night today, bring my ID and proof of vaccination with me and talked to the security lady. She said I need a QR code in order to get into the pool, but I explained that I have no health card because... People often mention pool, swim, great, staff, swimming, facility, clean, nice,

Hi Kiwanis Club. I feel disappointed and sad about my experience today. I booked the swimming pool at night today, bring my ID and proof of vaccination with me and talked to the security lady. She said I need a QR code in order to get into the pool, but I explained that I have no health card because I am not a citizen currently. The lady said "the law is the law", even though we all know the proof and the code is the same thing. If this is her job, I totally understand that. After I was been refused to get into the pool, I would like to sit and wait my family for about 1 hour, the security lady told me AGAIN I can't stay in the lobby EVEN THOUGH I showed her my proof of vaccination. I mean COME ON, It is cold outside??!!!! And I can't stay inside the building, ridiculous... I understand it is your duty to keep other people safe, law is law. But we, as human can think. That's all I want to say, thank you.

Hi, has 2 indoor pools, a library, conference room. One pool is Warm and used for Classes, family swim. The other is cold with 1/2 being setup for Lane Swimming. Nice Clean Place. Purchase Daily, Class Passes at the door. Has lockers for your belongings.

Went there for the first time and we enjoyed it. Thanks to Bonnie for helping us out. My daughter loved the pool's temperature. The facility is always clean too!

Lovely pool. A bit of a lengthy registration process for a simple drop in family swim, but a great experience none the less.

It's a great facility with lots to offer. I went 4 star because they do not have healthy snacks for sale.

Great place to walk and train your dog. There is a huge green space with lots of trees behind the tennis courts.. we love to walk and train our dogs here!

If I could rate it zero stars I would. Complete false advertisement for open swim. You’re paying $10 to float around in a kiddie pool for an hour that’s the size of a small garage. Not a true open swim experience AT all. When asking about the bigger pool, the staff informed us that essentially it’s never open to the public. It’s always rented out to private classes and lessons. HA This place is a JOKE. Find anywhere else to go but here; unless you’re a 2 month old new born, then have at er. So disappointing.

I used to love coming to this pool as I have been visiting since it opened. Now, I avoid it at all costs possible. Not only is it slightly more expensive than Brock's, but the front staff always seem unhappy and rude. Then the lane swim is so chaotic with them moving lanes and not having enough spots despite having to REGISTER online. If you are a regular pool goer, I would recommend going to Brock if possible

No credit and no tap. In 2022 post Covid this is unacceptable. Didn’t make a stink because it’s not the front desk fault. They I’m sure felt awkward enough turning us away so my little boy couldn’t swim today because the business wants to save a few cents on credit charges. Truly disappointing day for my little guy.

They make rules on the swim test so it’s two laps then it’s three! And teens just go in without a test even know they could not know how to swim!

Love going swimming with my little one! The heated pool is great so she isn't shocked by the cold. Also the staff are great! They helped my with my extending my pass from covid with no fuss!

Great swim centre. Long lane pool, and a short kiddie pool with a bench jacuzzi. Changing rooms can be a bit dirty at times, especially on a rainy day. Would highly recommend you take a swim here as it has friendly staff, and large swimming areas.

This facility is beautiful inside and out and has been the perfect place to host my daughters' birthday parties with many guests in attendance. The room rentals are very reasonable the kitchen is nice and the library and pool are great too.

The place is great. Both library and pool. What makes this a 3 is how much the front desk hates working here. We have been coming to Kiwanis for over one year and every single time the person is unkind and rude.

The change rooms at every clean. In the winter there will be slobs but nothing you can do. The pools are very nice. The kiddie pool is very warm and the lane pool is very nice. The temperature is nice. I would recommend this place as it has clean facilities.

Non-residents of St.Catharines BEWARE! You've been warned! This place, sadly, may have to do for your swimming needs if you are a resident and have no where else to go but it's down right horrible if you are not a resident. And trust me when I say it makes no difference whether you live there or not, the receptionist is a growling pit bull guarding her territory. Upon arrival brace yourself to be greeted by a snarl, not an inviting and willing-to-assist happy smile. Maybe she hates her job? Who knows! As a non-resident I registered my 2.5 year old daughter for swim lessons there because we do not have access to an indoor swimming pool in Thorold and therefore no fall/winter swimming classes. Non-residents are only able to register 2 days after residents at which point pretty much all the classes were filled up. We were miraculously lucky (or so I thought then) to have been able to get the last spot because I registered at precisely the exact minute we were able too. Yup, I even set an alarm 10 minutes to registration time. Once the program is complete (which consists of 4 to 6 classes) you need to re-register. This time, we weren't so lucky as everything filled up before non-residents even got a chance! The place is so disorganized that at the last class they didn't even know when the next registration would come out. I had to figure it out myself and constantly check the site. The staff wasn't helpful in the least. And the instructor for the course was a young teenager who stood there not even really engaging herself in the class, she almost looked annoyed that she was stuck there rather than with her friends. This was a class by the way which should have had 4 students, but there were only 3... why? That could have been a spot for someone else, instead the site listed it as full. Clearly they don't update their site. Again, so disorganized! The teenage instructor failed to provide any substantial feedback or constructive tips when some of the kids weren't performing at their best. I mean... isn't that why she's there? To teach the kids to swim and teach us (the parents/ gaurdians) the best way to help them. She basically sat there and watched us do everything ourselves. I thought I signed up for a teacher... not a lifeguard! Needless to say, with all the disorganization, poor registration method, a growling receptionist, and lifeguard rather than a teacher I felt very unwelcome as a non-resident and probabley would feel the same as a resident too to be honest. So we decided to go elsewhere, even if we have to make a further drive. Two thumbs down on this place... BUT they do have a very nice library going for them with great service there if you want to check that out.

Biggest money grab ever! You can only book for one swim per day and in the summer it was for an hour at $10.50 (2 kids, one adult) and now it's only 50 mins for the same price! I understand times are limited to due to Covid but they should adjust their prices accordingly! Before Covid, you could swim for more than hour for the same price!

This place was great expect for this one lady that works there. She was very disrespectful and annoying. However the other workers showed kindness, while this lady, old, gray hair, short, showed the lack of basic respect. Children were running around freely not getting in trouble but yet they decided to be rude to a paying guest.

I find that over crowding is a problem. Stuff gets misplaced easily as you need to move around the change room because you are in someone's way. I spend a lot of money replacing stuff. Sometimes recovered, sometimes not. There are no rules posted so people get away with being so rude. Many people feel they have the right to a lane swim in the leisure pool. They yell and scream at anyone who swims in their way. Beware of a woman covered head to toe in tatoos. Also, the line ups are too long waiting to get in. There needs to be a tap system, tap your card and in.

👍👍 My family rented the main floor community room for a party to celebrate two flagship birthdays (50 and 70). We welcomed 50 guests from a month old- 97 years old. Use of the space was comfortable and convenient as we brought in food and drinks. Having a kitchen and accessible bathroom made the event...
