Niagara Transit Commission - Downtown Terminal

Transportation service

👍 I take 4 buses a day, Mon-Fri. The bus driver, Barry Smith is always so pleasant and caring. I am in my 60s with hip issues. He always shows me respect and patience. Please have him train other drivers on how a passenger should be treated especially with a disability. People often mention drivers, terminal, stop, time, good,

This place is unhinged. Your bus will never be on time, and if it is, the windows will probably be down and you’ll freeze on the way to your destination. I wouldn’t wish this hell on anyone.

Buses never arrive or leave on time anymore. Bus driver on the Grantham bus accused me of being short 40¢. Had to argue with him until he found it in his machine. Did he apologize at all. Of course not. We all deserve better transit and much better drivers. 40¢!! What a goof.

Good but I wish the buses ran later, much like how I wish the downtown stayed open past 10 it seems

Drivers don't pay attention to stops. They frequently do not stop the bus when a stop is requested. Drivers need better training.

So you got new benches in December but didn’t think to put any inside? So you want the elderly, the disabled, etc. to either sit outside in the cold or stand inside??? Absolutely disgusting.

You blink and you miss your bus, like literally. It's good that they're organized, but not really good that they see you running for the bus and still close the door and take off, a Lil humanity goes a long way.

I take the bus alot and most of the drivers are very polite but some people are a bit rude inside the bus terminal for example once a guy got mad at me and swore at me a bunch because I had no spare change and I was 15 and alone at the terminal and some people also have asked what bus im getting on and then got on the bus with me...? 🤩

Bathrooms are clean. Single use, which is nice. But the pavement and outside area needs a good power wash. Kinda dirty Very helpful staff at the ticket counter

Grumpy staff, rude drug and alcohol addicted homeless that will harasse, bathrooms filthy the list of bad goes on and on. However, I'm almost positive that, in general, that's how bus stations are.

First of all I would I love taking the but the problem i have with them is that when you are not at the bus stop early they come down so quick with the bus if you are at the stop early they come late. Next thing before I moved to st catherine when I use to visit I could text the bus number to find out what time bus is coming we need that back beacuse this thing about download app on your phone is not for everybody not everyone who takes the bus use data people like myself prefer to text to find out what time the bus is coming.

The interior is clean and supervised, and the bus platform guides are properly placed and visible, but it's downtown so if you are a smoker hide your cigarettes.

I've only ever been late once and that was my own doing, most of the bus drivers are friendly, the o KY issue I ha e being g someone with a leg injury is their rule of staying seated until the bus stops doesn't work the other way when people get on The bus the driver must stay stopped until the customers are seated

Cool Terminal, easy to read directions. I was able to recognize my terminal gate 10seconds after arriving, it really was that simple.

As a rule, when I call the Terminal the staff are really helpful. I did have a major concern as I few months ago we found a cellphone on the bus and we did call to see if anyone had lost it, unfortunately someone gave the owner of the cellphone my phone number, I was called by the owner of the phone who was extremely threatening! Seems to me that the Terminal do not have the right to give my phone number to ANYONE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!

Bus drivers are very kind and curtious. Passenger safety is an issue they take seriously. They will not move the bus until the passenger is properly seated. Wearing a mask is strongly enforced.

The one I got on was at Lake & Carlton was good & it also took me to Pen Centre. A previous bus driver passed me at Lake St bus stop 0370

Everytime I have inquiries about his scheduling or need assistance in the city to figure out what the best route is. The drivers and staff at the terminal are always efficient and fast to assist.

Thankfully, the waiting area has reopened, so you don't have to freeze to death waiting for the bus. They need outlets where you can charge your phone.

The transit site works pretty well, but we do have some unsavoury individuals around. There are times I'd have been more comfortable with a Security presence, especially at night

The renovations look good, but I don't know why half of the terminal after the bathrooms was closed off to the public.

The bus drivers are mostly nice and helpful. Sometimes the bus arrive at the bus stop sooner, should wait at the bus stop about 10 minutes earlier. The bus terminal is in downtown St. Catharines, can walk to some good restaurants and stores near there.

Central transportation hub for city of st catharines. Local, regional and provincial transit is where your journey begins. Station open for tickets and info.

Very disappointed. Don’t sell online tickets if your bus drivers will not accept them. I bought and activated a pass, only to be denied. i then had to use my student pass that i was not supposed to activate until october(was told by my college). Thanks for taking money i could have put towards debt:)

I greatly appreciate our bus drivers. Without them I would have a terribly long walk to work. So thank-you very much for providing transportation for us
