👍👍 We had a great experience on Sunday. The family was out for a walk in Port and we enjoyed good coffee and donuts. The gentleman working was very nice and accommodating considering we came just as closing time. People often mention coffee, friendly, staff, great, donuts, service, good, donut,

They have jokes posted all over. The owner has a very dry sense of humour which is funny to me. Good coffee and tea. Quiet place to sit and relax. It will be very busy in the summer since it's right by the lake in Port Dalhousie. I'll be back.

Great spot in the port! Staff is amazing, so kind and helpful! Coffee is good and so is the food! Had the Blimey, tomato n cheese bagel, and a donut. All delicious! Dog friendly patio, and staff brought out water bowls and treats!

I have always been greeted by the Captains Cabin friendly staff here. They cordially call me out by name. The premises are always spotless. I have visited this restaurant several times recently. Coffee is well brewed and hot. It is served with a smile. 5 Star all the way. Peter Land

We have been here a few times over the last week and had enjoyed what we experienced. Today we had decided to go to the book store next door to grab a lattes. We then went to Captains Cabin to buy some donuts. We went to go sit down and eat our donut that we had just purchased and were told we could not eat them inside as we were not allowed to have the lattes from next door inside. Seriously? I understand coming in with outside food an beverages and not being allowed to sit and eat it however, we had just purchased food from them and we told we had to leave. Very poor customer service. Will not be returning. Reply: I also happen to be in the customer service business and the goal is to accomodate customers. The fact is that we were customers whether you felt we were or not. To kick someone out after purchasing you products is a poor business model. The objective of any business is to gain and maintain customers, not kick them out. The place was practically empty and had only two tables filled. if it was packed I could understand. however it was absolutely dead and raining out. This shows me no appreciations for customers at all. So much for Christmas spirit!

Amazing place. Plenty of big smiles, clean and the doughnuts lovely. Parking could be better but not a reason to not go for the rest of it. When you're tired of Timmie's or the $45 rama-lama-ding-dong at Tharbuckth, come HERE!

A great spot for cold brew, breakfast sandwiches, and donuts. Unbeatable location and prices! Hidden gem. Can't wait to visit again.

Wonderful welcome from lovely staff, even when theyre busy. Sausage rolls are the best Ive had and Im british so know a good one! Not really a doughnut person but I was tempted and wasnt disappointed, my husband tried the flakie - he LOVED it and has raved about it since. Everything is reasonably priced and the coffee is the nicest Ive had!

Sausage roll was delicious and not too hot, also a great price especially for the area. Staff was quick and friendly and the interior was very clean and nice looking. Will definitely be back soon.

We visited this fantastic café where we had a tasty freshly made breakfast bagel and fresh coffee. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area as we were visiting from England, Turns out the owner is also English who would of thought it !!!!! We're hoping to go back later on this year and will definitely revisit. PART TWO REVIST My wife and I did return back to The Captain Cabin Café where we had a YUMMY sausage roll and a fresh cup of coffee plus we were a bit naughty and had one of there puff slice and black forest muffin and they were FANTASTIC we did go back and got some of the chicken soup WOW it was so filling and tastes well words can't say. The staff well they were brilliant and friendly and so helpful. We can't wait to go back for the third vist to try more handmade items. See you all soon. 🙂🙂 STILL GIVEN YOU A FIVE STAR REVIEW.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've been coming here for years and the baristas are always friendly and the food is always fresh. I saw another reviewer mention that they liked the sausage roll so when we stopped by today I made sure to try one and it was really good :)

Tried the coconut cream donut and it was flavorless and stale. When I took my first bite half the hard stale frosting fell off the top into my lap and then I just had a plain donut left with hardly any filling.

Beauty breakfast stop. Phenomenal coffee and peameal sandwich. Friendly staff. Scenic lakefront neighborhood with a park on their doorstep. Recommended 👍 ☕️ 😃 🌞

Had a Blimey with peameal, egg & sauces....was fantastic. Even better was the blueberry fritter, with coffee or hot chocolate, a little over 10 bucks. A great, tasty, fresh lunch. Quite a pleasant surprise right in the downtown core.

My favorite Little place to eat. The food is so good. Homemade and delicious. The owner is so kind. I hope we can continue to come here for years as our children grow up. 10/10 recommended especially the Sausage rolls and patties. Love this place.

Gelato is the perfect reward after biking the waterfront trail from Sunset Beach to Port Dalhousie. Absolutely refreshing and the donuts are super yummy too - donuts have a fresh out of the oven taste. I got the blueberry donut and was surprised by the quality ingredients (real blueberries).

Good donuts but I MISS THE TIM HORTONS WAAAAAAAAAAAAA the tim hortons was awesome and i loved it so its not the same at all (obviously) but ehhh i will give 3 star and the inside is kinda odd but oh well. 3/5.

My husband popped in for a quick bite today. Not only was it speedy, efficient service, but it was great value and the home baking alone is a reason to go back. I’ll have to take his word for it as he didn’t bring any for me. You’ll have our return business.

Fantastic coffee, delicious homemade chicken corn soup, subs were excellent. 2nd time there and definitely not the last. Service was friendly

This review/ feedback is for the food at captains cabin cafe. We stopped in for some gelato and sorbet today. Avoid the “mango” flavor if you can. I’m sorry to say it tasted very artificial without a hint of mango. The sausage roll was not sufficiently heated and completely lacked flavor that I didn’t even bother to finish eating it. The customer service was good.

Very friendly service. Dog friendly patio. Clean outside tables. I had a small gelato. This was literally a single scoop. Not “scooped” up. It might be the smallest scoop ever. It did have a nice chocolate on top but for $4.50 I would not come back. Very limited flavours.

My favourite little independently owned and run coffee shops. Service is great and the staff are cordial and down to earth. With a great park overlooking the Henley course you can sit outside in the nice weather and relax or sit on the Captain's patio.
