Nice bakery. The pastries and sandwiches are really good here. The coffee quality could be better. The staff are nice enough. One of them wouldn't cut my sandwich in half, but another one found an error in my bill and made sure to refund me. Nice atmosphere. It can get busy.

Really fine, modern bakery and coffee shop. Ordered 3 different loaves of sourdough bread, sliced, and picked it up a couple of days later. Perfect! Great, bright, friendly staff too. Bought myself a ginger cookie while I was there and it was the best ever, with chunks of ginger right in the cookie. Definitely a local treasure, this is the place to go for breads and pastries. Nice writeup the the Globe last week! Keep up the good work and the high standards!

Ignore the one-star reviews on here - they’re all speaking to a specific issue and not the shop itself. This is a beautifully designed shop with friendly staff, great coffee and delicious pastries. All in all, a welcoming and bright place to read alone or chat with friends.

We live close and are there pretty often. We have never been disappointed. Always delicious! Update: stopped for breakfast this morning. My wife's breakfast taco looked good but these sourdough pancakes blew them away. They are good.

10/10 focaccia bread. the buffalo chicken sandwich was filled with gooey cheese, very messy but delicious! The coffee is always good here. Atmosphere is pretty nice for groups and solo. Good place to sit and chat. The staff is very friendly. The music is super chill too.

I’m honestly shocked how many 1 star reviews there are, This place is fantastic, coffee is great, the staff is genuine and helpful. After watching a few different interactions with staff, many customers are rude, and short with them.. it was actually shocking. I ordered a cappuccino that came with a beautiful heart/art in the milk, an amazing desert at the recommendation of the cashier, and a loaf of sourdough bread. I’m based out of Toronto, but found myself at De La Terre Bakery. I highly recommend this location, be prepared to wait given the popularity. This won’t be my last visit!

Great cafe which doesn't let the surrounding area take from the experience. Not in the nicest part of town but you forget about that once inside. The food was really good and the bread here is amazing. I feel sandwiches are probably a couple of dollars too expensive. Nice selection of coffees/ drinks, and the best flat white I've had in Canada thus far.

Great Service, Good atmosphere, Amazing food. I purchased these items; Herb + Cheese Sourdough (Great fermentation, good crust with lots of caramelization, herb taste runs throughout entire loaf but not enough cheddar flavor or noticeable mix-in (3.7/5) $8.00 Chocolate Almond Croissant (Flakey, Buttery, Delicious) $4.25 Ginger Molasses Cookie (Perfectly moist but not too crumbly, great flavor and perfect balance of sweetness, ginger is the primary note but not overpowering) $2.75

I met my niece there. She really likes the place. I thought I was getting a Mochachino like Second Cup. But, no. I had a tiny espresso cup with maybe 2 tbsp espresso. I didn't like it at all. Don't really like espresso. But had a huge chocolate stuffed pastry. It was nice but more than I needed. Guess it's just best to be hungry on arrival.

Gold stars ✨✨✨ for them as a cafe! Extremely good coffee— that can stand up against the best shops in Toronto, NYC and Montreal. The roasters and coffee here is genius! AND the baristas know what their doing! Drinks are delicious and inventive. Don’t be discouraged by the whining antivaxxers who brought down this shops review score and get an extremely good latte!

De la terre bakery has GREAT coffee and amazing pastries. They were flakey and buttery. I do wish that their patio had umbrellas, but if you go in the afternoon you get a bit of shade from the building. 100% recommend this place!

My God, I have been in Canada for 2 months, and it is the first food with flavor I have had. EVERYTHING WAS SCRUMPTIOUS. Breads specially made on site, serving ware/cutlery are specially sourced from a recycling company in Australia who specialize in recycling coffee husk. It feels like ceramic but isn't. Everything is fresh and flavourful. A definite find and highly recommended.

Found this bakery near the air bnb we were staying at. I can see why it was so busy! The grilled cheese sandwiches were absolutely delicious, the cinnamon bun croissant was very very good and I was pleased with their oat latte. I highly recommend coming here for some delicious food and coffee!

A delightful place for a coffee and a bite. It can get quite full and a little bit loud, so I prefer to go at slightly off hours. Friendly staff and fresh baked goods. I had a yummy breakfast sandwich on a fresh croissant! Cinnamon bun was also delicious. Try an Australian cappuccino (as least I think that's what it's called). Yum!

This place is fantastic! I had the beef barbacoa bowl, and the kitchen were kind enough to add an egg for me. Seriously good food, and the coffee was delicious too. Despite being busy, the wait time was short and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and very accessible. Enjoy your visit! You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I came here for breakfast and we loved it!! These guys are absolutely crushing the coffee and breakfast sandwich game. The croissant sandwiches with egg and ham were so fresh and buttery and perfect. I got the iced strawberry latte and my husband got a cappuccino - sooo yummy. Also the vibes are immaculate - its so cute inside and the guys working there were so nice!! If we lived here we would definitely make this our regular spot

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this bakery, and I must say, their delicious breakfast sandwich had me double-guessing whether to lick my fingers or savor every bite. The oatmeal latte, touted as one of the best in town, lived up to its reputation, providing a delightful blend of flavors. What sets this place apart, however, is not just the exceptional food but also the tranquil atmosphere that envelops you upon entering. Whether you're here for a friendly chat, focused work, or dedicated study time, the peace in the air makes it an ideal spot. Highly recommend for a memorable and satisfying experience.

Great coffee, great bread and goodies! And an awesome space to lounge in. We loved de La terre back when it was in Jordan and wish they’d bring back the soups and lunches! 🙏🏻

Hearty, crusty breads with lots of variety. Yummy squares, croissants and other delights. Coffee and specialty coffees are great. Supports other local artisans such as beekeepers, jam makers and potters. Environmentally conscious. A beautiful space for sitting and relaxing.

Excellent bakery and cafe. The drinks are great but overpriced (but that's normal in all coffee shops nowadays...). The bread is fantastic. The staff are super nice. Creative arm tattoos seem to be a prerequisite for employment.

I enjoy the atmosphere of this place. Their bread is fantastic. I will often recommend this place to people. My only complaint has to do with one server who is a tad bit abrasive in her service. I've encountered her attitude a couple times but it still isn't enough to keep me from recommending it.

Wide open bright space. Enjoy fresh baked goods, the smell of which is heavenly, and a coffee/tea with friends. It has a casual atmosphere and groupings are well spaced so you don't feel as though you are sitting on top of your neighbour.

So fresh and delicious. I also enjoy that the cafe has some books, magnets and toys for Little's. The vibe is awesome. I also appreciate the care and caution they operated with throughout the pandemic.

This summer I had the pleasure of buying and tasting the bread at this shop. Sooo good…and the potter they sponsor makes the most wonderful cups. Bread for the soul and cups for coffee, can’t go wrong.

I was looking forward to visiting this location and made a special trip. Visited on a Thursday at 2pm. Cinnamon twist was extremely stale. Galette ($5.50) served refrigerator cold; this probably contributed to the flavourlessness. Only pre-sliced bread available; I would have much preferred unsliced; I'm very nervous about how stale the bread will be after the pastries. Staff was very, very nice. Lunch bag letdown unfortunately. Update: the walnut and honey sourdough had very little flavour. The crust was soft instead of crispy; obviously stored too long in a plastic bag.

The BEST sourdough bread we've ever had! We love the multi-seed and the herb & cheddar, you won't be disappointed. A wonderful local business with high quality product, they even deliver.

🫤 Too expensive. Right across from Walmart supercenter. Identical prepackaged goods ranging in cost from $4-10 were shockingly an average of $1-3 more expensive than Walmart.
