Extortion. Plain and simple. Fancy names for prawn mayo doesn't excuse a huge price tag! The chicken and bacon sandwich was nice enough but the price is unreasonable. The cans should have been gold plated for what we paid for them! Service was chaos, made worse by the staff barking to 'use both sides' when people were waiting in an orderly manner for the snail-pace till system to serve people. Covid doesn't exist at the Island Cafe. Food is uncovered in the centre of the room surrounded by queuing people. Torpedo filled rolls open at one end so they go stale and let in as much air as possible. Feel like I've been robbed.

Friendly, brisk service, although note that the ice cream shack outside is cash-only. Inside does take card, thankfully. You can also get discounted pasties (£2.50) which are still quite warm out the oven at about 4pm. Perfect if you are waiting for the ferry queue to thin down.

Nice Cafe Popped into the Island Cafe on St Michaels Mount on our trip to Cornwall. It is situated next to the beautiful gardens and overlooks the causeway over to the mainland. It has a beautiful seating area outside and was a very relaxing area to sit and have a nice cup of tea.

Plenty of seating especially outside which gives fantastic views 😊 The cake selection looked amazing! My husband said the toffee apple brownie was great! Sadly there was no fruit selection, so as a diabetic I wasn't able to eat 😕

Perfect stop after a tiring hike, and touring inside St. Michaels Mount. I enjoyed their Blueberry Bakewell - it was soft, heavenly and not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. I also bought their hot chocolate and croissant, which was good. The sausage roll was not to my liking; it was a bit salty. Nevertheless, after eating inside the cafe, I bought their chicken and bacon mayo sandwich, which was mouthwatering, and I enjoyed eating it! I can’t stop thinking about the sandwich. They have lots of pastries, sandwiches and drinks to choose from.

There is a snail-pace till system in place: waited 10 minutes for two take-out Cornish Pasties. Food is uncovered on a large central table surrounded by queuing people: saw sleeves dragged across cakes to get to cookies; saw children take food from trays with their bare hands, then put it back in favour of another. Steak Pasties are £5.50, which isn't unreasonable, but the cheese and onion Pasties are the same price and smaller. Everything else is overpriced. The Pasties were good, though.

Nice litter cafe at St Michael's Mount. Que did not seem that big when we got there but took 45mins to be served. Prices not too bad. Food was good.

As a now keen reviewer of National Trust cafés (thanks Jamie), this one was a pleasant surprise. Expected it would be really busy due to the numbers of people around but the staff were all extremely switched on and the long queues moved swiftly. Standard food types but the Cornish pasties were a standout. Modern interior with trained baristas.

Lovely little cafe, I'm a kittle bit of a picky eater and would of loved if the kids sandwiches had the option of being bought by themselves instead of in a set meal option. Scone was nice.

We got here by 2 pm and there was basically no food left to sell. Sorry, but we paid for the entry to this island and that's an absolute no. I asked if the hot food would be restocked and all I got was a very nasty response. They have to work on their business plan and order reasonable amounts of food. Otherwise this place is simply useless. It ruined our whole trip. Hungry parents, hungry child. Thank you.

Worth stopping here if you're hungry while on the island. Would recommend the Cornish Cream Tea as long as you put the jam and cream on in the right order :)

Nice place to stop for rest and refreshments. Can get very busy at times and prices a bit higher than average. But service okay and coffees are lovely. Plenty of seating outside, slightly less inside. Staff are very busy, so are not able to offer much time to service, it's more like a canteen service set up with a bit of a wait for coffees as they only have 2 coffee machines. As long as you are not in a rush everything works relitivly smoothly. Limited access, not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Nice place for a quick coffee at the Island St Michaels Mount. Self service, and very friendly👏🌈

Food is good and the view is amazing but the service and the staff is not really up to the task, you have to wait over half an hour just for a coffee. It's a fact that this is a touristy place and can get busy, it's been like this for a very long time, not like they built this place few years ago, the company had time to scale up and failed.

We had Cornish pasties (steak + cheese &onion flavours) - they cost almost £7 for 1! The good thing is that they are a decent size and piping hot. Also had a chicken wrap as well although the packaging made it look bigger than it was. They didn't have any quiche options when we were there. Also, there wasn't much indoor seating so I don't know where you would go if it was raining, luckily for us it was a dry day! Total wasn't cheap (£40 for 5 ppl) but it was nice to sit on the bench outside and take in the views.

Stopped over for some Cream Tea and a few cakes after visiting the castle. The Scones were incredible! Followed by a view of the town to accompany it, couldn't think of a better place to enjoy a Cream Tea!
