Very much worth the price. Had an amazing day. I especially enjoyed the shipwreck snorkeling and swimming with the turtles tour which I was pleasantly surprised was included in the price. Also the two happy hours were well appreciated and utilized 😊. Lovely facilities will definitely return soon

The food is great, beach Is great and our kids love the activities. The reason for the low star rating is the customer service experience with the captain of the snorkeling activities. He was rude to everyone on the boat and one girl almost cried because he yelled at her because she came on the boat without knowing how to swim. There's a way to speak to paying customers regardless of safety and rules. Do better to treat people like humans and not animals.

In short, 100% worth it for the free boat tour. We were lucky enough to see a turtle while snorkeling near the shipwreck. Sometimes the hour you take the tour affects whether you'll be able to see any turtles, apparently your chances are better if you go between 10 am and noon. I would definitely do this activity again if I had enough time. The other amenities are great too. The use of a beach chair and umbrella is convenient. There's free wifi available, clean bathrooms, and a changing area. There were other activities we weren't able to get to but they looked fun: ocean trampoline, diving from the pier, swinging from a rope at the pier into the water, basketball. The coconut shrimp was gigantic and tasty enough. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is a place designed for tourists and it delivers good customer service.

Horrible owner, horrible customer service , they made me feel like an outcast in my own country , this place does not like local Barbadian at all . They ALL need some customer service training .... wouldn’t recommend at all . The boatyard club do not like constructive criticism, when people were leaving comments on the Facebook page they resulted to deleting people’s comments as well as blocking people for simply sharing there horrible experience with this company. They need to do better !!!

We've had wonderful day. You pay 60 bds and get 45 back to use at the bar (food and drinks). They also take you for a turtle snoorkeling. Beach is so fun, ropes and trampolinę to jump to the water! If you like to play in the water it is place for you! :)

We walked here from the cruise port and that day they were offering a $35 USD pass per cruiser to use chairs, umbrellas, facilities, a welcome drink AND you got a snorkel boat tour and taxi ride back to cruise terminal included. We got there early and got prime spot in the shade next to the pier. Beautiful beach. Clean restrooms. Good food. Very good value overall. You pay just that much for the same snorkel tour on shore excursions. They take you on a boat a little ways down the beach to swim with turtles. We saw one and an eagle ray but the guides were throwing food in the water (this and him touching the turtle were really my main issues with this place)…then they took us to a shallow artificial reef and that was cool to swim above a sunken boat to see lots of fish and corals. There are people selling stuff and they do play loud music but that didn’t really bother us.

Super friendly and great value for money. The beach here is really nice to swim in. No rocks on the floor either. You also get a boat ride included in the $60BDS where they take you out (not too far) to snorkel with turtles! The turtles know people are coming with food so they hang around. You can't touch them though or go near them. But they are nice to see. After that the boat takes you over to a ship wreck and you just float around looking at it. Fantastic. The food is good and you get to use $45 of the 60 you paid for food and drinks. Over all it cost $15 for the beach access and boat ride. Worth it.

Great atmosphere, for $35us you get 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach and a snorkle tour to see turtles and a wreck. They also have a floating slide and trampoline. Small parking area. Staff is friendly and great. Can't beat the views.

Great day out... $60 with $45 food / drink credit for adults or $40 for children with $30 credit. Free sun loungers / WiFi / boat trip to see the turtles etc. Just be warned they get very busy so you need to time when you get drinks and food as it can be a 60mim wait, but hey Ho your on island time. Would visit again

Came as a cruise passenger. For $35 you get a beach chair with umbrella and are able to go on the boat to snorkel. I saw a sea turtle and a small shipwreck that was very cool. For the price it's a very nice deal. Service could be better and the people could be much friendlier but if you ignore those two things and focus on the ocean you'll be good. The taxi to get there is $5 a person and the shuttle back is free.

Read a few not so good reviews on tripadvisor. I didn't think it was bad at all, I really enjoyed the day at the boatyard, we were returning from a cruise and had a few hours to kill. Wish we could have stayed longer to be honest. Loved the beach and seeing the turtles

Staff are extremely rude. You can’t even bring your own water to drink after paying $25 per person to enter. If you try to rent a jet ski or don’t do as they dictate they call security and “kick you out” even though all beaches are public in Barbados and this is literally illegal. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

We went twice over the course of 2 weeks. Excellent cocktails. Good value for money - boat trip included. Lovely calm water and friendly efficient service. Also lucky enough to see the race horses being bathed in the water. One star dropped because of a couple of members of staff who seemed to be having a bad day. But overall definitely recommend - try the mud slide cocktails! Good vibes

Had a great day here. 70 bd$ each to get in we got 45$ each back to spend on food and drink. So that meant a sunbed each and an umbrella, with a 1hr boat trip with snorkeling tour to see a wreck and turtles was 25. Really good value staff were great and the food was nice. Can't fault it.

Of all the beaches I've seen in my life, Barbados far exceeds them all in beauty. The sand was silky and the water an unbelievable clear turquoise color. Will return to Barbados.

Omgosh!!! Where do I begin??? Let’s start with the amazing price for this place! We paid $35 pp and we got a beach chair, umbrella, snorkeling to two amazing sites, a free welcome drink (which were amazing btw) Darlene at the bar…friendly, kept the drinks flowing and always had an ever present smile! Her personal touch made the day even sweeter!! The crew that took us out to the snorkeling sites were funny and personable! We saw a shipwreck, spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, many many colorful fish, a parrot fish & a shark that minded his own business on the floor of the ocean! The water was a perfect shade of blue and the water was amazing! Thank you “The Boatyard, Bridgetown” for an amazing day!

My favourite place on the island! The staff are superb, the atmosphere and music is brilliant, the menu is varied and excellent, and the whole place has such a great vibe - what’s not to like! They offer a package which includes use of the beach etc, but I can only comment on the restaurant area. The waiting staff are brilliant, being always on hand on proactively getting drinks when needed. They keep checking up throughout your visit without being intrusive, but equally always there when needed. The menu is huge, with a great range of snacks, sides and meals. The portion sizes aren’t small so getting a filling meal is easy and everything I tasted was fantastic - cooked and presented well with great flavours. While it’s not hard to work out, it’s nice for the menu to display both US and Barbados Dollars next to each item and in general the prices are normal and reasonable for the island. It’s a colourful environment, with a great atmosphere, and I could easily spend a whole day here and can do nothing more than recommend - great place!

We had a great morning here. 70 USD for an adult entry but you get 40 of it back in food and drink tokens, use of the sun lounger and umbrella included as well as the boat tour to the turtles and ship wrecks. The kids had great fun on the inflatable slide and trampoline, and the rope swing into the sea was fun too. Good spot for families

The experience is worth the money! You get a beach lounge chair, umbrella, meal w drink & snorkel to 2 locations (shipwreck & turtles) for a very low cost.

Spent the entire day here and had the absolute best time! Tyrone helped us get a good lounge chair spot, take advantage of happy hour and gave us excellent food recommendations. The snorkelling was spectacular. Food, drinks, service and overall experience = 10/10. An absolute must to spend a day here while in Barbados

Great beach with superb facilities. The food and drink quality is excellent and you also get a free sea trip to see a shipwreck and swim with turtles included in the reasonable entry price. And a free drink on entry! Close to the centre and cruise port, so an excellent location.

Loved this place, great vibe to the place. Well worth the money, lounger and umbrella, complimentary drink, free ride back to ship and the highlight was the boat trip out to swim /snorkel with turtles and over the shipwreck. Really friendly and helpful crew there. Thoroughly recommend.

After spending couple of 100 of dollars in the bar..we were terminated from they beach because we rent jet ski. This is unexpected for touristic place like Barbados. The people which is working in the bar are not kind. What to say more, Disaster.

The Boatyard is a tourist attraction that is 100% wonderful. For a $30 fee, visitors gain all-day access to the beautiful pristine beach, a lounge chair and umbrella, water toys like a trampoline and rope swing, restrooms, showers, and a free one-hour snorkel excursion. There’s a restaurant at The Boatyard, and it serves wonderful drinks and food. The service is great. The Boatyard is one of our favorite destinations in the Caribbean.

  • 5/5 Kaylah T. 1 year ago on Google
Always a good vibe, the price is great for what's included, part of the entrance fee is redeemable in food and drinks, beach chairs with umbrellas are at your disposal plus some water activities like the rope swing into the water and some others, and best of all a boat ride with snorkeling with the turtles if you choose to sign up, the service is excellent as well and the staff is quick to help and check in making sure their guests are happy and enjoying themselves, as a visiting national I was impressed even though I've been a few times before in the past. You get to enjoy a beach day in the best way, food, drinks, washroom facilities, lounging on the beach under an umbrella and some water activities, couldn't ask for more 10/10 recommend and I will definitely be spending my beach days like this every time I come home

  • 5/5 Vesper C. 1 year ago on Google
This place is excellent value for money. $30US to use all the facilities and then $22 back is food/drink means you're spending $8 dollars for everything - which includes use of the sunbeds, the inflatable water activities, and a boat ride with snorkelling equipment which is usually $30 from another tour company. The food and drinks aren't the cheapest so the $22 dollars doesn't go a huge way, but the portion sizes are large so I ended up just having a starter for lunch and spending the rest on happy hour drinks so it worked out really well for me.

  • 3/5 Jonathan M. 1 year ago on Google
Staff are nice. Water is clear. The food is OK. The lounge chairs are horrible and the atmosphere on the beach is like an over crowded public park. Plus we arrived at 10:30 am and all the loungers were taken. Finally got a chair eight rows deep from the water.

  • 5/5 David H. 1 year ago on Google
A great place to really feel like you're in the Caribbean! Slightly crazy but it's all part of the fun. Good value considering - you pay 35 USD and get 22.50 USD credit to spend at the bar. I would recommend ordering food early as it can take up to 60 minutes. Lovely beach though, very clear water, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic place to chill for a few hours!

  • 1/5 Michael S. 1 year ago on Google
The beach is great, though I liked it better a few years ago when it hadn't been fully commercialized, yet. The offerings of the club are quite complete which is nice. What I really have my troubles with is that the personnel is clearly and directly showing that you as a tourist are here to spend money and not to have a good time in paradise. How sad.

  • 5/5 Izzy G. 10 months ago on Google
Went here after seeing the positive reviews. Had an excellent experience. The service was great and the food and drink quality excellent. The beach is the highlight of course! Located at Carlisle Bay, they offer snorkelling by the ship wreck. Included in the price. There are some water activities like trampoline and slide. The price includes some credit for food and drinks.

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the Boatyard. I do wished we had gone sooner and enjoyed a few more days there. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always remembering my name when I went to the bar for food or drinks. The sunlounhers were comfy and not broken, the unberella offered great shade when we wanted it. The food was very good, big portions and tasted amazing, the toilets and changing rooms were clean and well maintained. We did the boat trip to see the shipwrecks and turtles and it was brilliant the captin of the boat was very informative and patient (some rude guests overtaking him). Absolutely love the Boatyard and everything it has to offer, 100% recommmed this place, for relaxing and sunbathing to enjoying the water with all the fun activities they have on offer.

Was taken there by taxi from port on a cruise. Highly recommended. Paid entry fee of $35 each. This included entrance to the beach, sun bed, umbrella, drink & snorkeling experience. Put your name down early for snorkeling as it is very popular. Impressed with security, people without wristbands were politely asked to move on. The snorkels were sanitised after every use and the boar crew were very helpfull and informative. Safety in mind they took us to a wreck not too far off shore, where we saw Turtles, Ray's and coral. Price included return to the port. Highlight of our holiday.

Food was good (a little pricey) - we had a Cesar salad with blackened fish and a grilled chicken sandwich with side salad The snorkel trip was amazing! First stop to see some sea turtles then to the Bajan Queen wreck which is shallow enough to be snorkeled and it was so cool! We also passed by the Eillon wreck but it was a little too deep to see details. The beach is lovely and water wonderful! We got two chairs and an umbrella in the front row and the day was well spent relaxing We did get a couple of frozen drinks at one point and they were very weak - while my margarita was pleasant and refreshingly cold it tasted nothing like tequila or a marg, more like a lime Italian ice! All in all, it was 33USD/pp for a wonderful day!
