I stayed at this place from the 11th September to 15th September 2013 and I enjoyed my stay, but it wasn't perfect. The moment you walk in you will notice the very odd smell in the hallway (I don't know why) but that's my only upset from the building itself. Havelock does provide many rooms that I have found to be very good value for money. I stayed in a twin room which had it's own patio and bathroom (shower and toilet), and the price was only £35 a night, £32 the second night and any days after that are charged at just £28. Great price. Rooms were clean and are cleaned daily, however can be quite noisy as the walls are very thin. The breakfast was decent but not perfect. Great range of cereals to choose from but their full English breakfast isn't quite a "full English". There's no hash browns or other food that you would normally expect. Sausages tasted like they were cooked in the oven and sometimes a little undercooked. The mushrooms are... boiled and not fried. If you are looking for cheap accommodation in this location and don't mind not having a "true" full English breakfast, then choose Havelock. It's great value for money. I found that one member of staff was quite rude (the woman), she will demand payment (which is normal), but she will look down at you and give you a sick feeling in your stomach. She can be quite helpful though if you ever need directions. Oh, and one more thing to add... They have WiFi (charged at £3 extra) - DO NOT PAY! Their internet is less than 300 kbps - worse than dial-up. It is like that all day every day. Worst I've experienced. But if you want to try it (for free), the password to their wifi is: 764zkd52pkki

Though I thought it quite dated and tired when I first arrived, after one night in the comfortable beds and the gorgeous breakfast in the dining room (which harkens back to an age of finest elegance) I quickly fell in love with the place. After one day it was already home, coming back after a day enjoying Jersey. Right on the coast across the street from the outdoor Lido pool with perfect house cleansing while you're out and about.

A great friendly guesthouse overlooking the sea near the bathing pool. Extremely clean , a great breakfast and the bed we had was pure luxury . I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again .

The guest house is about a mile away from St. Helier’s main bus stand in Jersey Islands. You may take buses and can reach in like 5 mins. The place is facing the sea and just across the street, you have place to swim. There are many restaurants nearby.

Rooms are small and cramped. No AC or fans, so quite hot and uncomfortable when sun is out. Bathroom so small my knees got the sink when using toilet. Hard to find -- no sign.

No problems what so ever. Friendly service and need and clean rooms. Great breakfast in very nice surroundings, The location is just fantastic unless you want to live in central st. Helier. Could have used a fridge and two keys for the room.

Good location on seafront ,breakfast cooked to order and s good choice of cereal. Could do with a little background music as you could hear lots of crunching and slurping of drinks.
