This is a real gem of a restaurant. Outstanding quality of food with a very eager to please ethos from an exceedingly proficient team. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Very highly recommended. Subsequent visit to this delightful restaurant and we were not disappointed, superb service, great food in really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Excellent restaurant, food is fantastic. It is not cheap (so it's a special occasion place) but it's worth it. Staff are both friendly and good fun equally

This place is a gem! Quality of food is fine dining but in a very casual setting. Yummy tasting food, friendly atmosphere and excellent service! PS: proof of COVID-19 vaccination and contact tracing information is required in Ireland for inside dine in . Otherwise, you need to do patio dine in. Thanks

Booked a week ago for 4 people for 6.30pm sitting on Saturday. From the moment we sat down, we were put under pressure the entire time. Reminded constantly that they needed the table back at 8.15. (Which was not a problem) perhaps it is a management issue. But altogether unpleasant unwelcoming experience. Won't be back or recommend.

Went there last year on Birthday Dinner. Cozy warm place, food was great. Service was fast and good. Had bruschetta, surf and turf and choco lava cake with Vanilla ice cream.

Loud and tightly packed but this did not spoil the experience! Staff lovely and extremely obliging despite being rushed off their feet. A most enjoyable evening!

Small intimate seafood restaurant with seating for approx 30. Delicious platter of starters. The prawns were delicious. Portion size just right and beautifully presented. Owner opening a steakhouse restaurant across the road soon so looking forward to trying that.

7 of us booked here for a birthday dinner. We were looked after by a lovely Chinese girl who seemed to be on her own but was she quick. Service was great, she was extremely friendly at all times checking that we were OK for everything. The food was very enjoyable. Will go back again.

First time here for a lovely dinner on Sunday night. Calamari and scallops for starters. Both very tasty and plaice and prawns pil pil for main. Both delicious. Prawns were spicy but tasty. Had a pear and almond tart to share with tea. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

First time eating in Hemmingways despite having lived in the area for years now. Buzzing place with what looked like lots of regulars. Great atmosphere. The service was great, very friendly, efficient, and a mixup with an order was handled extremely professionally without missing a beat. Great choice of food - mostly seafood. The salads served with the starters was unusually nice considering in other places it’s just a bit of decoration. Great prawn suppli, chicken wings, tempura prawns. Mains also delicious and you won’t leave hungry. Wine is reasonably priced. The crispy duck was properly crispy and not just a few undercooked slices on a plate. Great neighbourhood spot and we’ve found our new default spot for bringing fussy elderly parents!

Happy with the appetizers. Calamari and especially the mozzarella prawn balls. Prawn pil pil disappointed. It's prawn pil pil but as a main I expected it to be more substantive. Like with a vegetable or something with a different texture. I've only had it as a tapa before. Surf n turf was good. Would recommend. Comes with prawn pil pil as part of it. Service gets a dock for forgetting our drinks, but forgivable in the long run.

Good was absolutely delicious! It was our last night in Ireland and we wanted a cozy dinner off the beaten path. This was it, the seafood was fresh and prepared with care. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and not touristy. The cost was very reasonable and our waitress was great and attentive! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Was in the restaurant last night , It was at least 3 years since our last visit and never again . It was only a shadow on its former self My Spanish Hake consisted of overcooked hake on big chunks of underdone parsnips and carrots covered in slices of garlic and chilies. One of staff should have a trip to Spain to learn how to cook fish . Alan Usher

place when arrived was very busy which is always a good sign. as most of the dishes are fish i excepted fresh seafood products. i order the calamari for starter which was frozen and overcooked! my friend order the prawn pill oil which looked nice. i saw they have it as a main dish and i asked the waiter would he recommend which he did, so i ordered as my main which costed 25 euro when it arrived it was the same as my friend start she had just with extra bread which was very disappointing as it cost more then double and was exactly the same as the 10 euro starter also there was a burning same coming from the kitchen which was overwhelming. anyways i wouldn't be running back
