First time customer and will definitely go back. 3 of the 4 of us ordered something from the Irish Fayre and we all liked it. I had the Bangers and Mash (but had them substitute brussel sprouts for the peas) and it was very good. We had a booth which made for a nice relaxing place to have conversation and didn’t feel rushed. We splurged for dessert and had bread pudding and baileys Irish cream pie. Will ALWAYS order bread pudding in future. Delicious.

Great food, the fish and. Chips are some of the best in Ames!

Very good experience at Dublin Bay. Food was very good, atmosphere is excellent, and the service was very good too. Most everything (food) is made on site. For an appetizer I had the Dublin planks, which are Chicken Brest meat hand cut, with honey Dijon sauce I believe. I've never had corned beef, it was very good, tenderfull and tasty. I liked the mashed potatos, lots of taste and texture. I prefer my cabbage rawer and crunchier, but both the red and green were okay. Free WiFi. Doors are kinda tricky, but easy access though.

I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, even better than its look from the outside, and the foods we ordered were also great! Especially, I loved the beer I had, I forgot the name though, something like Coffee Beer. Everything was wonderful! 👍 Thanks!

The shepherd's pie was awesome, I was kind of envious of the fish and chips when I saw them come out. They looked amazing and the fries were so delicious. Not to mention the Irish bread, that was the best authentic bread I've had in my life. Even better than what my grandma would make. But we always had it with stew and not so much anything else. Our server was awesome, I didnt catch her name but she was a riot. Cant wait to go back for another meal.

Dublin Bay superceeded my expectations. They do such a good job of setting up the ambience with Irish music, wall decor and the general setting. Our server was awesome, and attentive too. I got the Guiness Beef boxty, it wasn't for me but it was still good to try. Highly recommend!

I had the Buffalo Chicken salad. Very good salad. Nice wait staff. Good atmosphere where people could talk and hear each other easily. I will be going back to try more menu items

Used to come here on the regular when I was a student at Iowa State University 20 years ago. Came back for the first time since I was a student and it is still great! Love the spinach artichoke dip, tasted the same as I remember! We also got two Irish dishes for dinner, the shepherd’s pie which had good flavor, was seasoned well, and was a great stick-to-your-ribs meal. My wife got the boxty which had corned beef, rapped in a potato pancake, covered in a cheese sauce. Tasted great! Our server was fantastic, even on a busy Friday dinner service, she was attentive and quick. All in all, a great dinner!

Went for an appetizer & before dinner drink, enjoyed the nachos and a raspberry mule. The bartender was friendly and provided great service. The chairs definitely need some love at the bar as I felt like my chair was about to break. Overall good food & drinks.

The first one is Shephards pie, second pic is Guiness Beef Boxty with Brussel sprouts and third is turkey rueben with house salad. Generous portions and so very delish!

I love Dublin Bay. Great selection of items, cool atmosphere and service is always top notch. When it’s nice out I always opt to sit out on the patio. I highly recommend the Dublin Bay chicken salad with breaded chicken & the house dressing!

Always delicious food. Waitress did a great job with serving. We didn't care for onion rings, they were good, just not great. Everything else was delicious.

The food was good. I had the Irish nachos, which were ok, nothing special except they're on waffle fries. They could have been better if they had a sauce on them so they weren't so dry. The crab cake sandwich was really good. Onion rings were outstanding. The service was EXCELLENT! The atmosphere was very indicative of an Irish pub. The only thing missing was the Irish music!

Very good restaurant with lots of interesting decor. Love the name of the onion rings “Black and Tan Onion Rings”. LOL! The food was very good. The lamb stew was good but salty. Boxty is very good! Bread pudding was very good with lots of cinnamon. Soda bread was good and never had it toasted before. The coke didn’t have much for carbonation. I’ll be back!

Lovely spot to go to in town with good authentic food. The servers are super personable and friendly helping you feel local without ever being there before. Food is out fast even in a crowd. Unique dishes with plentiful portions. Stop here when in Ames. My companion got bangers and mash and I had the boxty.

Wonderful place but a little lacking in attentive service, was a group of seven. The dessert bread pudding was outstanding. Everyone was tasting everyone's food just so happened that I had got the stew which was extremely salty. Portions were of a good-sized.

Nice location, pub vibe but not too loud, lots of space. The salad with baked salmon was a great option for a healthier meal. Friendly service, drinks and food were served fairly quickly at dinner's time. I liked the default dressing on the side so it can be adjusted to customer's preference and no salad ends up wet or soupy! Fries were fresh and crispy, a bit extra salty.

Literally sitting here after my first visit waiting on them to take the check. I can't even begin to explain how amazing this was. First off all, as someone with anxiety, the decor is very relaxing and calming to my mind. Even with it being loud I'm completely at ease. Second, the Irish soda bread was amazing. The only mistake was getting it before the meal cause it was so good but pretty dense. Third, I got the dublin burger. BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD! I like my burgers charred a little on the outside but pink on the inside and it was perfect! The staff was friendly and very on top of it plus the food came way faster than expected. I only regret not having enough room for desert. 11/10 would return!

Came in to celebrate with some family from out of town and Alisa took great care of us! Fantastic beer selection, lively decor and environment and the food was outstanding. We were recommended the crab stuffed mushrooms and they were absolutely delightful. So fun to enjoy some traditional Irish foods at a fun local spot!

Had the corned beef boxty with waffle fries. Never had it befor but it was delicious!! The onion gravy was super and potato pancake was wonderful. Had the Irish beer flight which was phenomenal. Seated quickly, server was great too. Am anxious to go back and try again!

Presley was very patient and quick to bring refills. They have a pretty good selection of all kinds of drinks. The Surly Darkness was very good. The food was very good and came out quickly. My wife and I shared a bread pudding for dessert and each had a coffee. The bread pudding was very good as was the shepherd's pie, and the beef boxty. The coffee was also a local roast and was a great end to an excellent meal.

My friend Darcie and I treated ourselves to the Dublin Bay Irish Pub & Grill today for lunch! We started with the spinach / artichoke dip and the most incredible arrangement of toasted soda bread and chips... oh my! This is definitely THE best spinach / artichoke dip I've over ever had! Creamy and spoon / bowl licking good! Darcie had a Reuben sandwich and their incredible roasted red pepper soup with gouda cheese. I opted for the steak sandwich and the soup. The soup was gourmet and would pair perfectly, in my opinion, with anything We both had 'to die for good' delicious side salads. *Go for the homemade creamy garlic parmesan dressing, for sure! The hardest part was deciding where to start... we had a smorgasbord of divine options! Every bite was a fresh mouth-watering experience! Our servers, Mel and Ben, made this delicious experience memorable and one I'm anxious to repeat soon!

Loved the atmosphere with smaller dining rooms than one big open area. Loved the corned beef with cabbage and Italian soda bread. Cecilia did an awesome job - thanks! Homemade snickers cheesecake was great too!

Went on a wedding dinner. They handle all 23 people with no problems. Friendly people that work at the pub. Food was great as it was my first time. I would go back 😇
