Took my bike the entire trail. My favorite part is the section from La Porte city to Brandon. The scenery is absolutely breath taking in the fall! 10/10 (just be sure to take plenty of water is there isn't really anywhere to fill up, except a spigot in la porte city)

A significant portion of the trail has been repaved, providing a smooth, pleasant ride. The trail is a great asset fit everyone. Take care within the city limits.

Perfect trail stretching from cedar rapids to cedar falls. Areas of paved and areas of crushed compacted media. Great trail to bike ride, walk, jog, just get out in nature.

Nice urban trail. Goes for miles. Could use a few more benches along the way.

We were just driving through and stopped to have our lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with the dog park! We would love to have been able to explore the trail a bit, but had to get back on the road. Very nice park!

A good biking or running trail that runs through the center of cedar rapids. Today we choose to go soith on the trail which takes you along McCloud run the cedar lake and then downtown cedar rapids. If you go north you can go allnyhe way to cedar falls so short rides or runs or long runs are all possible here.

A very nice trail with lots of trees around and a couple railroads/train tracks along it. This spot specifically is surrounded with shrubbery and has a very nice, well-kept restroom. It's also a great location to spend the night in your vehicle if needed. With it being between many trees, bushes, and residential homes it's unlikely for any law enforcement to stop by. 5/5 stars.

I cannot express how much I love this trail! We have ridden the trail in several different locations but never in its entirety because it is very long. It's always in great shape and usually not crowded. They have recently added some bike repair stations with air for tires which is really nice. There are a few places along the trail to stop for restrooms as well. Always a favorite!

CVNT is a jewel for eastern Iowa. We parked and biked from Hiawatha to Lafayette and back. The terrain is nearly flat since this is an old rail bed. There are a few road crossings that have moderate traffic during the mid-afternoon. We encountered other bikers plus dog-walkers, runners and walkers.

Peaceful, plenty of shade. Rode from Boyson trailhead to Ely, IA. and back. Had a great Lunch at the Kickstand in Cedar Rapids.

I'm only traveling for a short time in the area and I found this recreation trail. What a great thing it is to have such a place in your community for walking, biking , jogging etcetera. It goes on for many miles. Relaxing, refreshing and it makes me wonder if you all know how lucky you are to have such a great outlet in the community. Beautiful.

lovely trail very straight usually there's far too many curves after a really good breafastatoscars and waiting for the Outback to get it's transmission valve fixed. we enjoyed ourselves and couldn't see all of what was ahead of us even though the entire time it's straight. but I guess that's because it's impossible to see that far . loved it!

Extremely good trail for a bike ride. It's was converted from an old abandoned train track, so it makes for a mostly flat ride with really gentle slopes.

Beautiful. Good surface. It can get busy on the stretch from Boyson to Otter. Thins out after that. A nice canopy exists after Alice Rd. Love that section of the trail. There's a lot of wildlife. If you ride close to the edge of paved surface watch out for chipmunks and rabbits that might panic and get in the way. They move away safely most of the times.
