A beautiful wooden heritage building surrounded by garden and big trees.

This was a Japanese temple, notice all the wooden structures. Used to be a very exclusive members only club in Medan. Everybody who's somebody in Medan is member here. Up to the 90s I think, the restaurant still serve one of a kind menus... kakap kaligis, ox tounge steak, chicken special, baked alaska using corn ice cream... dont have it anywhere else, even in today's Jakarta. The tableware were all imported. The waiters knows your prefered table. The waiter captain wore red kopiah. Members who dine don't need to pay cash, just sign the bill. The bar room fully stocked, double gin martinis were always excellent. Once a month on Sunday is movie night. The 5 star is for my time there during the 70s to 90s. Great memories...

I always watched the movie in Medan Club every 2week btween 1967 ~1979. My fam were member at the Club. Sometimes we hv a dinner wth my fam there. The "bitter ballen", the ice cream.We were played around at the courtyard.Big trees n green grass...Golden memory.

The First Club in Medan City since 1879. Have a large and quite room for event. Good food and placed in centre of Medan.
