HOW IS SOMEBODY WHO WORKS SUPPOSED TO DEPOSIT A CHEQUE????? I THOUGHT THEY MADE MONEY BY HOLDING OURS!! Will be closing my three halifax accounts and changing to Nationwide. At least their overpaid management offer out of hours deposit via cashpoint. Sick of the mess banking has become. OLD people still use cheques, they just don't trust online banking. Who can blame them.

    One star is far too much.. Disgusted by the slow service unhelpful advice and rudeness of the staff member Brigita at help and advice on Monday 30th Dec.. It took me months to get to the branch having autism and agrophobia to reopen 2 dormant accounts.. I explained this to this very rude and arrogant woman to the point where I want to move my accounts to another bank..!!!

    Rude staff, talking with no respect. One time they say something the next time they claim it never happened treating a potential customer like a crazy person. Disgusted.

    Very slow service Very rude staff member lacking in customer service skills and basic politeness and respect when speaking to another person. This was the second time in 2 weeks that I was treated badly for asking for some extra help, by the same person. This branch may need to run a refresher course in customer service skills.

    I have twice used the services of the Bedford branches Mortgage Advisor, Matthew Cook, and have received brilliant service on both occasions. He answers questions promptly and with clear advice, and makes sure you are getting the best deal possible. Would definitely recommend.

    We have recently taken out a mortgage through Halifax and Matthew Cook our mortgage advisor was amazing. We can not thank him enough. No question was too much and went above and beyond to help. Would definitely recommend.

    I approached Halifax directly for my mortgage as they were the best rate on the market at the time for the shared equity scheme. I dealt with Matthew Cook (Mortgage and Protection Adviser) throughout the whole process and he was brilliant! He made the application process so easy for me, was always contactable and saw it right through to my completion. He took me through protection insurance and at no point did I feel any pressure, which is refreshing. He was confident, experienced and eased my worries. As a first time solo buyer, it was exactly what I would have wished for. I also popped into the Bedford branch to close my Help to Buy ISA and the lady I dealt with was professional and efficient.

    Massive thanks to Matthew Cook for getting us a great mortgage. He didn't just find us a mortgage, he kept us updated on the valuation survey and offer letter . He always responded to calls and emails promptly and was a pleasure to deal with, saving us a load of money too! Thanks so much Matthew, we'll be back in 5 years time!! Chris

    Absolutely top service from Matthew in the mortgage team. Due to having a limited business, the process of applying for the mortgage was not straightforward, however, Matt worked tirelessly to ensure that we not only got the funds secured but at the best rate possible in an ever-changing volatile market. Originally I had made an application online, however, there had been issues with the application process. I called the support number and was put through to Matt, I could not have been luckier that day. Whilst other lenders may have given up due to the many twists and turns, Matt went above and beyond for us, keeping us updated every step of the way. Today we had the money transferred meaning we can start the work on our house in the new year. It truly was the best Christmas present we could have wished for. Thank you, Matt, from all of us.

    Very disappointed with the service. I've been back and forth to the branch now 4 times because of incompetent staff and their lack of knowledge on how to open the account and verify the documents so that the account stays open. Spent accumulated 5+ hours on a phone with the customer service giving me different types of instructions on what I should tell my branch manager in order to resolve the problem. Here I go again, on my way to the branch to pass on another message from customer service team on what they should do next so that the account finally will be unblocked.

    VERY VERY RUDE STAFF. There deposit machine in branch does not work so I have to go to the desk to make a deposit and every time I do the ladies in the branch make you feel like a criminal putting money in to your account. The lady I dealt with today I think her name was Manjeet or something like that. She was giving attitude and was acting like she didn’t wanna do her job. I will not be entering this bank ever again. They are so rude and make you feel so uncomfortable.
