    I was on a trip and decided to stop at this location on my way home to enjoy some shrimp. I'm glad I did. I don't live near a red lobster and wanted to take advantage of the shrimp special. The food was wonderful but the best part was the service. My waitress Jada T was absolutely one of the best waitresses I have had in a long time. She was very polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp and the salt and vinegar shrimp. The only reason I gave 4 stars was I after I got home a noticed that I was charged 2.99 for "games " even though the machine on my table didn't work. She grabbed one from another table. I tried calling the restaurant to ask about it, but the lady I talked to said since I don't live there and it was a few days ago, there was nothing she could do.

    I'm actually from Maine and never had eaten at this Restaurant. I get what its trying to do, but it misses the mark. The prices are New York Style and the seafood is nowhere near worth the price. The burger was plain, plain, plain even with condiments. Plus its clear it's all about the extra dollar with the burger coming with no fries. Even the staple rolls are not as good as they are in the box at Wal-Mart. If you want seafood there are much better places in the area than this corporate thief trying to bypass as a Maine staple.

    Jose is so amazing. The General Manager Jennifer was so nice. Love the new salt and vinegar shrimp. Everything has become so much better. It's back like it once was. This team has really turned things around. We eat here once a week. Definitely can tell the improvement with how your treated, and the service. Bathroom's are kept cleaner now. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work.

    The lunch was delicious! And my husband got all you can eat shrimp! There was a good variety to choose from. Our server was so sweet & kept our drinks full! We had a great meal at the Red Lobster in Hickory, NC.

    Horrendous service!! I absolutely used to love this place until my most recent visit. Host was very unpleasant. Discussing verbal issues about the kitchen staff to us during our dinner. I never received a menu item that was requested but paid for. Had to remind about a different menu item. Wait time was overextended on ordered condiments , beverages AND utensils. I could keep going but to sum up the occasion, I am unsure if this issue has to do with management or just the hired work but very unprofessional and will definitely be recommending all colleagues to other establishments.

    First off let me say that our waitress Amanda was Great. This review does not reflect on her. This review is directly aimed at the management or corporate that made the choice to change the menu. My wife and I use to eat at this particular restaurant weekly. It has been a while since we have ate here. What a disappointment. The menu had very few choices for a person who doesn't eat seafood or fish (me). The wife was looking for a certain fish . Dont have it anymore. We almost got up and left. She had the fish and chips ,i had chicken tenders , fries , and slaw. If I had wanted Long John Silvers fried food , I would have went there. To the owner don't make any excuse or use the same generic reply that you used with other reviews. Look at your menu, find places for improvement and fix it. Set the bar for every other restaurant. As far as discussing anything with you ,There is no reason for discussion. Take action.

    Tonite at dinner our waitress was Hailey and she provided excellent/personal service. We had a question about the shrimp cocktail being discontinued and Chef Joseph came to our table. After he heard how far we had driven to come and eat, but really missed the shrimp cocktail, he went into the back and fixed one for me to take home with me. We had already paid and he could have just told us he was sorry, but instead he went the extra mile to make our dining experience even better. Great service

    I got a Caesar salad and my wife got the garlic butter crab legs. She really enjoyed them. My salad was good too. It just had a little too much dressing and it made the salad kind of soupy. Our waitress was very nice and took great care of us!

    I wasn't wowed my first visit at Red Lobster. Server was super friendly which is cool. The lobster was tough. My husband complained and only an apology offered. While I enjoyed my plate it had the smallest scallops of all time. Overcooked and chewy. I don't think we will return.

    We decided to go on a Friday on opening early shift. The entire experience was great, along with food and service. Manager spoke with us several times working on making sure we were pleased with out food. Spend $90.00 dollars and honestly had no complaints.

    We had a wonderful meal this evening at Red Lobster in Hickory. Our server Anna was wonderful. She made sure our drinks were refilled as needed and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. Manager, Joseph came by to greet us shortly after we were seated He made us feel at home. Our meals were delicious and we look forward to coming back soon. Thank you Joseph and your team for our great experience in your restaurant.

    My husband and I went for a late Valentine's celebration dinner this past Saturday night. It was busy earlier in the evening, but by the time we arrived at 9pm, there was no wait. Dinner was served fast, the food was served hot, and the waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. So far, so good! But when it came time to pay the bill, the waitress had me swipe my credit card right at our table, using the computer tablet that is placed at each table. After doing my card, it stayed in a "processing" mode for an EXTREMELY long time. Eventually, the waitress cancelled the transaction, and asked me to swipe my card again! I told her to wait, while I checked my online account to see if I had been charged as a result of the first attempt...which IT HAD charged me...and strangely, it was for $26 MORE than it should have been! The manager came over and apologized and explained that their system was not showing our bill as paid, and so unfortunately, I had to be charged AGAIN!!! Luckily, the second time it charged the correct amount. However, the first charge of $156.68 is STILL PENDING in my account as a hold, FIVE DAYS LATER!!! If not for this billing issue, I would've rightfully given 5 stars.

    Last night my family ate at red lobster. The service was slow due to short staffing. We spent close to 2 hours there. 45 minutes to be seated with no wait time. We ordered pretty quickly but it took close to an hour for our food to get out to us. My husband ordered endless shrimp and waited almost 30 minutes after asking for a different type of shrimp. It was over cooked and spongy. The kind running the front, was seating people, busting tables and cleaning all while the had 3 waitresses. The manager never came from the back to help. We essentially spent 114$ on sub par food.

    If I could give this place zero stars I would, worse experience I’ve ever received! Waited to be seated for an hour and 15 mins, when we got seated there was probably at max 15 tables with people sitting and way more people waiting behind us! Order our food, 30 mins later the waitress comes to the table to tell us they’ve lost our order. Order again to receive ice cold “steamed broccoli” and cold lobster tail! Needless to say they’ve lost business from me! Trust me DO NOT VISIT this location….

    Usually have good experience but tonight just wasn’t it. We ran out of drink for 10 minutes twice. Asked for ranch for the biscuits 3 times and still never got it. My boyfriend didn’t receive his side orders until after we already finished eating because the server forgot them. & to top it all off he found a contact in his scampi. She proceeded to tell the table behind us that we claimed it was an eye contact but it was really just plastic. It was an obvious eye contact! We won’t be returning.

    We went last night for dinner around 830pm, it was not very busy and we had an extremely poor experience. First off, the waiter took our appetizer order before our main order, which was 3 cups of soup. We waited an extremely long time for soup(even though order was placed early) and were not given any spoons, so we had to hunt down someone for them, which also took very long, they arrived along with the entrees. My daughter's meal was incorrect, and she never got her side salad. My son had lobster, and they forgot drawn butter, and he was missing a side as well. I ordered the pizza and a bowl of lobster bisque as my main course. The pizza came but no soup. When he finally came, he only had a partial cup and said it was all gone, which I asked to take it away and off bill because my husband and son could barely eat theirs due to how salty it was. My daughter's corrected meal (they just had to swap out coconut shrimp for popcorn shrimp) came out long after it was taken back. We asked to have all the soups taken off bill due to all the missing items and mistakes, but they weren't, and we barely had time to review check because the table machine didn't work, so he took our card to run and never returned the itemized check with it. Again, it wasn't just a few minor things; it was the entire experience. ​I am a former waitress and a current manager, and the fact that a manager didn't come out to address all the issues is unacceptable. We will not be back and used to love coming here; we are extremely disappointed.

    Just stopped in for some shrimp tonight at 415 pm. Go in and tell the hostess Just one and she says there is a 20 minute wait. They have 14 cars in the parking lot and plenty of tables open. I said really there's no one here. Another waitress comes up and really smart like says yes there really is a 20 minute wait. While Another person comes in behind me a walks to a table. Almost borders discrimination. I won't be back. I guess my $100 isn't good enough. It truly amazes me that you literally have to beg a business to take your money these days. Sad way to handle business

    The waitress was terrible. A 45 minute wait for a table of four with visible empty seats in the restaurant. The waitress served us plastic cups claiming no more cups were clean and she didn't want us to wait... Yet the couple who sat down beside us no more than 3 minutes behind us got served with actual glasses... No real issue if the whole, she didn't want us to wait thing was true. But it wasn't. The side salad looked like it was prepared 3 days in advance. The appetizer didn't come out until after all our food did. She claimed biscuits were in the oven then several tables got biscuits while we had to wait and eventually complain she never served us any. We had a table of 4 she brought us 3 biscuits? I got the most unseasoned lobster tail in the whole of the restaurant. It looked like it was steamed in bleach. The waitress then tells us the reason she was so behind was as soon as they opened she had a table of 14? Thats only 4 regular tables. And y'all opened at 11? It was 4 pm by that time? We generally tip in the 30-50 percent range but so many other waitresses had to help us because we didn't have things like utensils, bread or plates; she only got 10 percent. The absolute worst dining experience at a Red lobster ever.

    Today my husband brought me out for my birthday!! This was the best meal and service we have had out in a very long while. Our waitress Paige made this the best birthday ever. She was on top of it all... And The Manager Joseph greeted us and checked on us during our meal and after to make sure all was good. Absolutely Superb!!!!!! Jason and Carmen Watson

    This was my first time going to Red Lobster. I don't understand what the whole point of having a reservation is, or maybe I just don't understand the definition of reservation. I made a reservation, and I've checked in 15 minutes early . I waited for 30 minutes inside the restaurant and still waiting, then I went to the desk and told them that I'm going to wait inside my car. They man in the front desk said," ok, we will call / notify you when we have a seat that is available for two persons." In my car, I am waiting over an hour and still waiting. I decided to give them a call and told them that I've been waiting for almost 2 hours and I had also made a reservation before coming there. They said they would notify me as soon as they had a table that is available for 2 persons. They have never had call me or notified me at all. I just wasted 2 and half waiting. I will never come back to this place. I will not recommend this place for anyone. I will take my hard earnings money to elsewhere.

    The food was bad, but the server was really nice and professional. First we ordered the create your own feast and I ordered fish and chips. the steak, salmon, and my fish and chips where all raw. And when the manger came over she no joke blamed the fish for being raw. She said “we have been having problems with the cod recently” like bro what are you saying.

    Went for lunch on a Monday. The food was very tasty which is the reason this review gets 3 stars instead of 1. The service left something to be desired. Our waitress was not overly busy as there were only about 5 tables sat. Our waitress wore her mask around her chin and had a visibly dirty uniform with stains on her shirt and apron. It seemed odd that she would already be covered in stains at 11:30, so to me that means she was wearing a dirty uniform from yesterday. I waited tables when I was younger, so I know that happens, but it is unprofessional. We never received refills on our drinks. Another waitress noticed we were empty and offered water, however my friend ordered a tea and was thirsty so took the water refill to at least have a beverage because he would have never received the tea anyway. My friend ordered endless shrimp and the waitress never returned, so he couldn't order any additional shrimp. We told the waitress when ordering initially that we had a free appetizer from the Red Lobster rewards program. She advised we could enter it on the payment kiosk at our table when paying. After our waitress failed to return, we just decided to pay and leave. Well the payment kiosk had no option to enter the free appetizer code manually, only to scan a qr code, which we didn't have. We tried multiple ways to get it to work, but couldn't figure it out. I saw our waitress across the dining room and waved to her to come by. She had nothing in her hand and didn't appear busy. She made direct eye contact with me and turned the other direction and walked into the kitchen. Finally another waitress (one who was actually working) had to be asked for help and then surprise, our waitress shows up out of nowhere. She had to print the receipt for us to redeem the reward and we were basically told we just did it wrong. It was extremely aggravating. I think these chain restaurants need to do away with the payment kiosks on the table. It's frustrating for customers and takes longer than traditional payment. I'm in my early 30s, so I'm not out of touch with technology. I can't imagine an elderly person trying to figure these things out. I get that help is difficult to come by currently, but I probably won't be returning after the experience today. No fault of the food, the cooks seem to be doing a great job. The front of the house needs some work though.

    The food was fantastic, service so so, I had to ask for my all you can eat shrimp to go. Because they never asked if we wanted more.?? The women's bathroom has 4 stalls. Not one door shut?? And its dated and dirty. The door had so many fingers prints. Look like someone tried to do finger painting. Should clean the glass once in awhile ESPECIALLY with covid . The carpet and the ceilings need to be replaced. But if you're looking for good good great place

    It had been a number of years since we'd visited. Mostly because my wife only likes two things on the menu. She's not into fish or the thought of it. But she LOVES the cheesy biscuits. Service was good but obviously needed more people. For me it was very good to awesome. I didn't get any of the biscuits though as Someone ate them all.

    Good taste for the prices. The new Cinnamon Whisky Sour is amazing. If you are patient enough to let the cinnamon stick soak for a bit (5mins or so) it makes the flavor pop

    It took 10 minutes until finally someone asked us what we wanted to drink. Since we've already waited this long we placed our orders. In fairness our waitress was nice and bubbly. She managed to attend to our needs. It took about 30 minutes until our food arrived but during the wait, we had 2 rounds of biscuits and our drinks and soup at least. The unlimited shrimp promo was DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT. The strawberry smoothie was the best I've had. we were absolutely STUFFED but very impressed with the food quality.

    The food is good no problems there, but the service could be better. The waitress who gave my friend his order went back to the kitchen and they all decided to laugh at his name, where he could hear them. Not professional and very childish. If you can't just give someone their food without being immature don't work at a public place.

    Anthony did a wonderful job taking care of us. Food came out perfectly timed. There was only 2 wait staff there for the whole restaurant. Joseph the manager was helping out everywhere. He was bringing out food and busing tables on our side. Ava and Alexa worked the other side like champs. I saw a great team at Red Lobster tonight. Everyone helping everyone!!!

    We were there for a presentation and meal. I had maple bacon chicken, steamed broccoli, and mashed potatoes. My mother had Brouled Salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed the meals thoroughly. The manager was pleasant and amiable with all his guests. It was a very nice afternoon

    We love Red Lobster in Hickory. BUT ! Went there last week. Our server was Andrew and he was awesome. The food on the other hand wasn't so good . Our shrimp cocktail was so watery, that when you bite into it. Water drip out of it. My husband 's bake potatoe was over baked. You couldn't get your fork to pierce the skin. My crab legs were watery and tough. Will be so time before we will be back.

    I love this location!!! Why? The answer is simple…Jose! He is the epitome of professionalism! He always treats me like family! He truly loves what he does and it shows in the quality of the food served. Our server, Cindy never fails to provide excellent service. We never have to ask for anything because she is on top of everything.

    My family loves seafood so finding a good seafood place around is close to impossible. Growing up as a kid I have always come here. I've never had a bad experience in the years I've come here but the reason for the 4 stars is that they have gone down on the portion sizes and increased on prices. Also they give you very few biscuits so you have to keep asking for more.

    My son took me for Mother's Day. Our wait was less than 30 minutes. The food was all excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and checked on us often. The chef came around to all the tables greeting customers. We had a great time!

    Visited here while in town for a short while. My daughter had the pasta, I had the lobster platter. Very good! Loved the cheddar biscuits as usual. It was a bit slow but understand everyone is on shorter staff these days. Hope to be back!

    We went straight in at lunchtime. My food was cold. I found it hard to find things on the menu. The waitress was ok but seemed to more interested in a gentleman who sat behind us. She never came to check with us about the food. I think she brought a receipt I'm not sure. I already had my card out so it was a quick transaction . When I look the next day at my account to see the transaction was over 75.00 . I wasnt given a receipt so I had no way to check the amount. It was very disappointing and I felt like I had been overcharged.

    We haven’t had a dining experience like this in such a long time! What great hospitality my wife and I were shown at this Red Lobster. Thank you Joseph (Chef) and Abby (Waitress) for making it worthwhile! Finally a place with friendly smiles, great attitudes and of course awesome food! You understand how customers like to be treated and why we will come back again. Highly recommend this establishment for those wanting a great dining experience.     My last visit was the day after Mothers Day. We had a great host. He was very attentive to us. Wait time on food took a little longer than expected because there were only 4 tables that had people. The food was ok, but the older I get, I'm more disappointed with it. Just isn't as good as it used to be & over priced. The restaurant was clean, but had an "Old" smell to it.

    Came there to eat tonight and noticed they were pretty short staff (just like every other place) but still continued to make our experience wonderful. Our server was Anthony. He was double sat and had a full section but always checked on us making sure everything was great for us. He was an amazing server. I was very impressed the chef, Joseph, he came out several times to check on everyone there making sure everything was fantastic with every guest there when I asked what his position was he was the chef. That really impressed me because I have worked in food industry for over 10 years and the kitchen staff never comes and checks on everyone but again they were short staffed today He saw I had my daughter with me and brought her out a hand made desert and was very very kind to her. I was very impressed and thankful for there wonderful service!

    We have been here 3 times in the last 2 months. Each time service has gotten worse and worse. New years day at 6:30pm, very few people here upon arrival. Took 11 mins to get drinks, 15 to get our salads, 27 to get our appetizer and 31 to get our food. Food had been sitting in the window, staff members standing around talking in groups. Service friendliness just isn't the best, the food quality isn't near what it should be for over $100 bill and 30+ min wait times. Can't say we will be back.

    Delicious. Everything was fresh. The waitress was very attentive. We never got low on drinks. Our biscuits were fresh and hot. My husband's steak was extremely juicy and perfectly medium. My crab legs were delicious.

    Food was very good and hot when delivered. Our waitress was super nice and very helpful. Cindy was very courteous. The restaurant itself needs a little upgraded. A number of the seats were torn. We will be back but would like to see it cleaned up a bit.
