The Thousand Pillar Temple or Rudreswara Swamy Temple[1] is a historic Hindu temple located in the town of Hanamakonda, Telangana State, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya. Thousand Pillar Temple, along with Warangal Fort, Kakatiya Kala Thoranam and Ramappa Temple are added to the tentative list of World Heritage sites recognised by UNESCO. Many Hindu temples were developed under the patronage of Ganapati Deva, Rudrama Devi and Prataparudra who were of Kakatiya dynasty. The Thousand Pillar Temple was believed to be constructed during the period between 1175–1324 CE by order of the king, Rudra Deva. It stands out to be a masterpiece and achieved major heights in terms of architectural skills by the ancient Kakatiya Vishwakarma Sthapathis (Architect). The Executive officer of the subject temple is P.Venugopal.

The place is too good and it's one of the most famous and devotional places in warangal for Lord shiva. It's a tourism place for everyone and we even read about this place in our social books too. Such a nice and pleasant place.

This temple was built with 1000 pillars in the ancient time and now they are rebuilding the temple with the new design and also the place was too good near the temple here lord shiva was worshiped by the people. This is also a historical temple which is located at warangal.

Visited on a Sunday morning and had pleasant experience. No access to pillars location which was very disappointing. Priest is very demanding. Paid 200 for Abhishekam and priest says that’s for ticket and he needs separate payment.

It's a Hindu Temple. Maintenance work in progress. It's a very old temple at least 1000 years old.

Beautifully crafted and well built temple. The outer complex can be paved with stones so that it becomes a bit convenient for people specially during summers and rains.
