This is one of the best gay bars in New England! All are welcome! Everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. They give out prizes and party favors. The vibe is lit and activities everyday! You’ll definitely feel open and freeee hurr!!

I absolutely love this place... Every Wednesday is Karaoke night. The crowd is always super cool and encouraging. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar staff and owners are the best! If your looking for somewhere to go that’s not too far, always fun and inexpensive, Troupe is a the place for you!!!

As a burlesque dancer, performing at a fully accommodating venue where performers' AND patrons' needs are met can sometimes be hard to come by. But this venue? It's on my list of places that I can't wait to return to and enjoy the experience again. Burlesque and drag shows are top-notch and fun because the warm and welcoming staff have put in a lot effort into making it easy for us to prepare and put on a great show. Of note: the staff work efficiently, the new stage and floor are clean, and the dressing room is spacious enough for the biggest gowns and wigs. Not every venue is so lucky to have these! After performing, I got on the dance floor and immediately felt the inclusive, joyful vibe of the venue as a patron. Drinks are reasonably priced and the music is damn good. If you want to feel like you're part of a community or just melt your worries away, head over to Troupe429. It's a memory worth preserving.

After exploring the gay scene in CT, finding Troupe429 was like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. You walk into Troupe429 and all you see is character built into every inch of the venue, friendly faces be it patrons and/or staff and amazing energy to make you never want to go anywhere else. I have attended multiple shows, events and trivia nights and I have to say, I find myself not going anywhere else anymore. The DJ's are incredible, you can dance under a ceiling full of disco balls all night long! Troupe has not only created a fun, beautiful and amazing environment, but they have created a place that makes you feel safe and welcome at all times. If you haven't been, go ASAP! You will not regret it!! Also make sure to try the Log Cabin Kiki, it has become my go-to cocktail!!

Troupe429 is the only reason I would ever leave NYC for CT! This past weekend was my first time here and I was so tickled by all the disco balls, welcoming vibes, and beautiful people. Britmas in July was the event being held; Britney was played ALL NIGHT along with performances by the lovely and talented Sienna Rose (Official!). The bar is spacious enough with a separate room featuring a dance floor and small stage for performers. There is also a Wizard of Oz pinball machine (very cool) and Mario Kart for any gamers interested (also cool). When we got too hot from dancing the night away, we were able to take a break outside at one of the picnic tables set up outside for some fresh air. I have to compliment the staff for their attentiveness as well; everyone I engaged with was super sweet and I personally witnessed the dance floor area being cleaned multiple times throughout the night to ensure no slips occurred. Bathrooms were cleanly, also. My drinks were delish and they are certainly not light-handed with the booze. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good time and to dance to your heart's content

We had a blast!! The scandalous burlesque night was truly wonderful. We loved how intimate the space was. The burlesque dancers were talented and sexy! I will definitely be returning, drinks were great too! Bathroom was very clean and the bartenders were awesome! DJ was fun played good tracks. Thank you for bringing the vibes. I really enjoyed my experience there and you will too.

I came to Troupe 429 as a drag frequenter and was blown away by the experience. The owners put such care and intention into the shows and establishment. Sienna hosted the show and Buttakup preformed, the talent was incredible, I cannot wait to come back! They took amazing care of the girls, the decorations were on point (portraits of 12 queer icons behind the bar?!CMON!), the environment was safe, they offer free condoms, the staff is very attentive without being intrusive, and the bathrooms were consistently clean. The 3 hr drive it took to get to Troupe was worth every minute of traffic and road construction. Troupe 429 is THEE place to BE in CT

This venue is truly incredible! The burlesque show is so much fun, and the environment is really inviting. I haven’t gotten the opportunity to go out and enjoy myself in a really long time, and this was the perfect way to do that. The owner and staff are so kind and helpful, and it’s a wonderful performance space. Definitely do not skip out on this gem!

The friendliest place with the most amazing staff & patrons. Troupe429 has such talented entertainers that perform almost daily! The owners are so kind. The love, passion and amazing energy they’ve put into building this establishment radiates off the walls inside. Highly recommend for a fun time and for a great night of dancing and entertainment!

Isaiah is the most kind bar tender I’ve met. She treats you like a human and has conversations with you. She is real and treats you with kindness and respect. I highlighy suggest her. I’ve been to nyc , Miami and Vegas and she is the far the best

This was my first time visiting CT as a whole, and Troupe 429 couldn’t have made a better first impression! The owners are absolutely amazing, and genuinely care about their establishment and everyone inside. The atmosphere is accepting and upbeat, thanks to the incredible DJ (@heynicorico), who kept the party going even when performances weren’t happening. Not to mention the Amazing Drag performers, (@SiennaRoseOfficial & @ayobuttakup), between the hilarious banter on the mic, the gorgeous looks the put together, and the overall talent the brought to the stage was unbeatable. This was bar far my FAVORITE bar/club that I’ve ever been to, and I can not wait to come back! Thank You!

I've gone to this establishment twice now, during Halloweekend and for Scandalous Saturday Burlesque! Both nights were fantastic! The performers are always amazing to watch!!!! As a new member of the community, each time i've gone i've felt so included and surrounded by loving genuine people! Can't wait to keep coming back <3

Troupe429 is my absolute favorite bar! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and lovely. We love karaoke on Wednesdays, Sienna Says on Fridays, and trivia on Sundays. I feel comfortable and accepted at Troupe and genuinely love the vibes.

Love this bar. They are always playing great music & having fun events like drag competitions. The drinks are very affordable and even have great sober friendly options. I once got a cbd cocktail and it was amazing. It is also very clean inside!

I came here for the first time over the weekend and can’t wait to come back again. We celebrated our friends birthday and we had the best time including a Drag Queen birthday shoutout, the BEST DJ and music and an awesome bar scene that was very reasonably priced. We want to bring all our birthdays here now.

Troupe is an awesome bar and community space. Scandalous Saturdays burlesque was one of the BEST burlesque shows I’ve been to, with a diverse cast and a clearly devoted crowd of regulars. The DJ was great, and the non alcoholic drink options really impressed me. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there weekly for karaoke and all of the amazing drag shows they’re know for.

A great safe space for the community! Glad to have been introduced to it. Great service, fun karaoke, and bopping music. Also, the Wizard of Oz pinball machine is absolutely “Wicked”. A hidden gem for sure!!!

Isaiah was phenomenal. Went for karaoke tonight, they do it every Wednesday and the vibes are always to warm and excited and positive. My favorite bartender worked tonight, Isaiah consistently kills it and it a joy; the other staff memember are superb as well. 10/20 recommend ANY DAY.

I come here every single Saturday for great drinks and better music. The bartenders are UNTOUCHED and the atmosphere is everything I want and more. South western CT best LHBTQ+ bar! Great vibes, great music, great crowd, & the drag shows..TOP THEM ALL!! Troupe 429 for the WIN!

I had the most amazing time at Scandalous Saturdays Burlesque! It’s a truly unique experience that we’re so lucky to have in our beautiful city! The talent is out of this world! Did I mention I had the time of my life?! The service is exceptional as well - my phone died and I needed change and the bartender saved the day! I had the Glamizon and the frozen Pink Lady and both were delicious too!

Absolutely AMAZING, FUN and WARM vibes 🥰 My most favorite place in CT!!! Amazing music! Amazing performances and entertainment!! Can’t wait to perform there again!!!

Absolutely loved it here, everyone is so kind. Bartender is incredibly nice. Best bar experience in my life. I feel so safe and accepted. Games are very fun too. Update!!! Joshua helped us so much with drinks and feeling comfortable!. He gave us the best hospitality. Hope to come at least once a month.
