Terrible breakfast . Next morning went elsewhere for breakfast . Bathroom extraction fan was on steroids. Extremely noisy . Mirrored cupboard doors not practical . Fools gold guest house.

The place is overrated… No hospitality… Or personality… Just conveyer belt kom en gaan and rush the guests style… Rooms are average. Staff were miserable and unfriendly. Had a room with noise in the ceiling… Gratefully changed rooms. I’d rather stay at friendlier places in the area…

Its so gonna be a long day & night. Checked in last night to a very small room. Watch tv in bed. Eat in bed. Shower not working nicely. I requested to change room. Its not possible to swop around bcos of linen. Im not happy at all. Im not enjoying my stay at all.

Place is fine, nice and quiet. Good breakfast, thoroughly enjoyed the meals. Was ruined by a cleaner who rushed us in check out morning, telling us she has other rooms to get to... 😳 Another let down is that rooms don't get serviced whilst you are at breakfast... You have to make trips out of your room, just to accommodate delayed cleaning. Management needs to look at this and improve these small things for a more pleasant stay and experience.

An absolute gem in Standerton! Rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The staff are fantastic! Always happy to help and arrange anything you may require for your room or for meetings and presentations. The boardroom works well for around 40 people or as a meeting venue for about 20 people. Everything is well maintained and the staff treats every request as a priority request. Dinners and breakfast is great and worth adding to your stay. They have the best internet speeds of any guesthouse I’ve been to, so you could easily stream your favourite content. The pool and braai area works well for a team lunch or dinner if you want to braai. They offer a variety of side dishes you can order.

Booked at this place cos of the supposed back up generator. Had stayed here before and there were no issues. But the management turns off the generator at 22:00. Further, they don't seem to have understand what vegetarian means and have no respect for different cultures

We hosted a touring group of cyclists, stopping over in Standerton along the way. Appledew went above and beyond to ensure every element of our stay was perfect - not easy with 23 people arriving all at once. The service, food, rooms, amenities and everything in between was first class. We'll definitely be back next year!!!

No parking, we had to leave our cars in the street 😢... And they were so stingy with their food portion (a keybab have 1 small mashroom 🍄,1 piece of carrot 🥕, 1/2 small🥔 potato and piece of onion 😂😂😂) I think it is great for individuals not groups.

All is perfect room is clean, service is fine the location is perfect .can you please make sure you install Air-conditioning and improve your wifi system.

Great accomodation in Standerton. Great breakfast as well. Shower door entrance not feasible if you have a bigger body but overall I highly recommend them.
