Called here Saturday morning for a bite to eat based on the Google reviews, Google navigation actually took us to the rear of the building where there wasn't any access. Access is actually from the front street up a flight of stairs, no disabled access. Dog friendly. The young lady who served us was friendly, polite and most efficient, even delivering a bowl of water for our dog. The coffee / cappuccino was very good indeed. The breakfast 3 egg cheese omelette was substantial and accompanied with sausage, tomato, beans, hash brown and a slice of bacon, the bacon was not to my taste, it tasted off, everything else was quality and worth the money.

The best brunch in Durham town center. Traditional English breakfast & nice coffee. Beautifully decorated & spacious place. Quick service & friendly staff. Great offer before and after lunch time. There are not many choices of places to eat at Durham town center & Treats is always a ideal one.

Just enjoyed a beautiful lunch here. The dining area has a beautiful homey feeling. The staff were friendly and helpful and even bought out a few extra marshmallows for our girls. The food and drinks came out quickly and the portions were generous. The chips have been the best we have had whilst being in the UK. They were beautiful and crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and nice and thick as chips should be. The steak ale pie was a large serving and had a beautiful gravy and the meat so soft and tender it almost melted in your mouth. The coffee was delicious and again one of the best I have had in the UK. I thoroughly recommend this place for both great food and value for money.

Nice little cafe! After going up a flight of stairs you're likely to be greeted with a smile. Staff were lovely, food was nice and the quantity was fair for the price paid. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too. I've attached photos of the menu. There is paid parking a few minutes away from the cafe

Between the three if us we had vegan, vegetarian and full English breakfasts to suite our individual dietary needs. All three were amazing.....the juices that came with each breakfast were of a good size and not a small tumbler. Plenty of tea and coffee. Alround a very enjoyable breakfast in nice surroundings with pleasant staff. Would definitely go again.

Had high hopes for this place, but was left fairly disappointed. The cake was stale, the vegan burger was very plain and the rest was not too great. It might have been an off day so I’ll give it another chance and see if it changes. I also think the interior could be improved with a bit of redecorating and rearranging.

Good selection of food for breakfast and lunch. Had the ham quiche and scone with tea. Tasty meal, red onions a bit much.

From the warm welcome, prompt service and well cooked food the team here really deserve their full 5 stars. Their prices are good too, with clean tables and a good vibe, this is a nice place to visit. Just a note to visitors who have difficulty climbing stairs, there are a lot of stairs to negotiate but if you can manage these, you will be well rewarded for doing so.

The iced coffee was very warm so we had to swap it. It’s also very warm in the cafe too. The food was lovely and inexpensive.

Up alot of steps so not accessible to anyone who has issues with steps, wheelchair use. I am on crutches and ok with steps. A hand rail was there to use so that was helpful. The food was spectacular and I couldn't recommend it more as well as the hot chai latte. Staff were incredibly kind too.

Popped in with my other half for a bite to eat while shopping in the city centre. We were greeted immediately with a warm welcome & asked to take a seat anywhere we liked (the cafe was about one third full at around one thirty). The customer service was excellent & the food was done to a good standard. The prices were average for Durham city centre but the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back, well done....

This is a gem of a place. Best avocado toast I have ever had. Will definitely come back next time I visit my sister. Excellent friendly service.

Very busy when we visited, and staff kept asking if we were ready to order - within about three minutes of sitting down we were asked, and this was repeated twice more about a minute apart. Understandable given how busy it was (I suppose) but the staff were very pleasant with it. Good variety of traditional food on the menu, served freshly cooked. Will return, but at a quieter time.

This place is wonderful! Really friendly staff, great atmosphere, coffees and then some very hearty vegetarian breakfasts came out very swiftly indeed even though it was pretty busy! So impressed.

Great place for high tea. Quality sandwiches, scones, pastries and tea. They also have delivery which is great! Only reason why I'm only giving 4 stars is that they forgot to include one of our teas, but things happen and it was still a fantastic meal. :)

Wonderful visit. Staff friendly and very helpful throughout the visit. Brilliant menu for someone who has lots of intolerances. The coffee wasn't good but I will give 5 stars as the delicious food compensated for it. Will come again!
