Found this hole in the wall place while trying to decide where to eat in Albemarle. I went by the review of how nice the staff was; couldn’t have chose a better place! The burgers were made to order and their bacon was so crispy! The only thing is they only accept cash and you cannot eat inside but there are tables right around the corner you can eat outdoors. 10/10 highly recommend!

Wow! Didn’t realize they served oatmeal until this morning, I was on my way to work and was going to stop by McDonalds for their oatmeal and saw cars out to the road….I said not today! So I called the Goody Shop and took a chance. Asked them if they serve oatmeal and she said, “yes, that they have brown sugar”. That’s all I needed to hear. I ordered it and OMG!!! I couldn’t believe how good it was and it’s sooooo biggggg!!! I have just a little bit left that I put in my fridge. It lasted me for hours 😂 😂…..until lunch. Hey I’m loving it! I’ll definitely be back for that! It’s bigger up close. Thanks Goody Shop for coming through.

The Goody Shope Cafe is a great little gem! On our way the Charlotte we decide to get a quick bit and we were not disappointed. This place was clean, the food delicious , portion sizes substantial and everyone was so friendly. Everything is cook to order so you do have a little wait but so worth it. Fyi No Dining In.

Honestly, they consistently have the best cheeseburgers i have been able to find anwhere east of the Mississippi. The goody cheeseburger is big enough to satisfy me, the meat juicy and flavorful, bread is fresh as well as the vegetables. Just an amazing place to eat, and full of good folks.

Without a doubt, the BEST burger in town! The fries take me back to my childhood when moms would actually fry the french fries for supper! Thanks for a great lunch experience. :-)

I don't live in Albemarle come visit my mom sisters every couple months always order carton chicken salad to go l love it it the bomb can't wait till l come back order more l will order24 hours ahead next thank you love your chicken salad best l every had

This is a nice little place. It only takes cash and is take out only. I would like to be able to eat at the counter. The staff was very nice and the food was very good.

Great as always. Ordered 1 pancake and an order of sausage. Thought about ordering 2 pancakes but decided otherwise because the cakes are the size of a dinner plate. Hungry but 2 is more than I can handle. Friendly staff and prices are right.

Everybody in town knows this place. Old style dinner type place with excellent food, and an owner with a sence of humor. I enjoy going there for breakfast.

Stumbled across Goody shop cafe while traveling through Albemarle. What a wonderful treasure, the double goody cheeseburger was excellent and HUGE. Cash only, but there is an ATM "up the hill" staff was super friendly, will be back!
