Great gym overall, plenty of parking and friendly staff with plenty of high quality equipment available to use. Only negative is when the weather is warm or just in general it’s too hot in there and puts you off going when the weather is warm, it can be uncomfortably warm in there which isn’t good enough really when it’s advertised as having plenty of cold fresh air pumped into it regularly?! It spoils what is otherwise a fantastic gym.

Awesome gym however there is need for more equipment as some equipment such as leg press, leg extension machine, incline chest machine, etc can't effectively meet the demand during peak times.

Friendly staff at this 24 hour gym. Lots of parking available and generally quite a quiet gym. Good changing rooms with showers and hairdryers, and also a good selection of snacks and drinks from the vending machine. The gym itself has a large selection of cardio, resistance and free weights. These is a spin class room with bikes to the rear of the gym, and also a large free space room typically used for classes, but also available for people to use freely with some nice lighting.

Attended for 1 week during a visit to Stoke I went to this gym for 8 days in a row and spent around 20 hours in there. I can tell you it is one of the dirtiest, grottiest gyms I have ever been in nothing was clean all the machines had sweat stains and were in need of renewal. I paid £20.99 with the intention of continuing my membership but I cancelled shortly after as I was so disappointed with the state of the place. I wont even mention the toilets it would make you sick.

Really like this gym. As someone who struggles with self confidence, I didn’t feel at all out of place being there. Everyone is friendly, staff are helpful if you need advice or ask them something. When it is super busy though it can feel a little over crowded. Only thing is, each time I’ve been the air con hasn’t been on or if it has, it’s not very good. Everything else is fine and no issues with equipment or other facilities.

Attending Fenton East PureGym has helped me both mentally and physically, I'm currently experiencing work related stress. Without PureGym I would feel much worse. The instructors are fabulous, I've done Alexander Mac's class this morning and he's so full of life and positive energy. He's very creative and extremely funny, he makes working out fun, he mixes things up well and comes up with great exercises on the bike for a full body workout. He caters for all ages and abilities. Adam is very talented and always does a great class, he gets everyone working hard, I really enjoy his classes. He extremely good at motivating people and pushing them to fulfill their potential. His music is always fantastic and great to work out to The gym at Fenton East seems to be a positive and happy place to work. Staff are friendly, welcoming knowledgeable and approachable. Thank you PureGym team

To see people in a gym wearing coats exercising is almost incredulous until you realise that the heating is either turned down or broken. Then you see the gym staff in coats wearing jumpers under the uniform ( the gym manager). On speaking to members they say that it has been like that for over a week. Not a great welcoming place 😕

Great value, love the machines, open 24/7, headphones in and youll have a good time for a commercial gym. Don't know how the classes or personal trainers are though. Using their app you get tracking and can see how full the gym is, during peak times it can get bit bussy but ain't too bad.

First day back in the gym after a few years off due to health issues. This is a great little gym. Well laid out, good lighting and a decent amount of equipment. They have plenty of lockers, access to water and other facilities. The changing rooms were really nice and clean. There were plenty of staff around if you had any issues, though I didn't notice any women, but that could just be time of day/ they weren't on the floor etc. All in all, great first day back at the gym and looking forward to trying out a few classes!

Can we please ban socks and sliders from the gym! It's ridiculous They are bad enough to look at in everyday life, but I should certainly not be looking at them inside a popular fitness establishment/gym. They are a health and safety risk, its exactly the same as wearing flip flops. The gym itself is fine, obviously busy at peak times like any other gym. I would of left more stars but the socks and sliders thing is getting out of hand now..

My experience may differ as I go in the middle of the night to early mornings.Relitivaly peaceful I can get on anything I want music wasn't loud so I could very easily listen to what I wanted during workout. Opted out of any extras like the drinks so can't rate them but assuming u go regularly they look like a fairly good deal. Before I signed up I came in and the manager was very helpful gave me a tour and answered my initial queries so that was nice. Overall fairly decent place for the price I'm not complaining

Recently the showers in the men’s changing room has become very cold, I mean freezing. They won’t turn hot at all and the water interval has also decreased making it very annoying pressing the button every 15-20 seconds. I found this green wire hanging right out of the shower piece in booth 5 (furthest one from steps).this is extremely dangerous!! Also Booth 4 becomes flooded the second you turn the water on, I’m very very disappointed. I hope you fix it as soon as possible

Been going to this gym for about 3 months, absolutely lovely and friendly staff. One member Alek, is absolutely fantastic. Does amazing classes, really friendly and funny. I always come away from his classes feeling like I have achieved something. Always pushes to do the best I can. Couldn’t ask for a better trainer.

I came to this gym once before and I wasn’t quite sure as one of the guys that worked there was a little unhelpful! This time although apprehensive booked a cycle class, very happy I did the guy whom lead the class was amazing, so happy and positive

The Gym is good, however the free weights are always a mess. I find myself having to put weights back in order to train. There is no interaction that I have seen from staff reminding people to put there equipment back.

Gym is great. But showers are poor clogging up they smell. This isnt the staffs fault its the dirty people who use them cut there hair shave and don't clean after.

  • 5/5 Nick H. 5 years ago on Google
Best commercial gym around, but peak times can get very busy to say the least so off peak times are the best time to train. However I find the layout here far better that Pure Gym S-O-T North!

Friendly staff great place to work out made to feel very welcome

  • 5/5 Brenton R. 2 years ago on Google
Open 24/7, has almost anything you'd need, always stays cool, decently sized. Only cons are the dedicated deadlift area isn't great, and weights are never put away properly. Still worth 5 stars because it fits my needs almost perfectly

Been going here for about 3 years now and I can't fault it . It's clean and well equipped and the staff are always friendly and approachable. The classes are great (in particular the spinning classes) and thanks to the lifting of restrictions it's great that they start front around 6am again .

Love going to this gym staff are great only downside I've got is I did my abs class on Saturday and I've received a email stating I missed my class this is the second time this has happened. Not happy because if it shows I miss 2 more classes it goes against me and I can't book for a while. I use my gym access pass every time I enter the gym, also I noticed that it only picked my time up when I left not entered, please can anyone explain what is going on . I also enter the gym at least 45 mins to an hour before I start my class

All good, but no clock on any wall which some ppl really need when busy life time schedule

  • 4/5 Wesley J. 2 years ago on Google
Great facilities and a generally nice atmosphere. Found the staff very attentive and helpful. They saw I was having an issue with my passkey and came over straight away to help :) It's a shame they don't have the massage chair like they do in the Puregym North venue(they instead have a flavoured water machine)but other than that a very positive experience!
