Don’t buy books from these people. It will be fine if the right book is delivered but don’t expect any assistance if they stuff up. I ordered a book early Sunday morning and immediately cancelled when I got the email confirmation. It was for the wrong book. More than 2 days later they answered that they could not cancel because “it had already entered the shipping process” which apparently had happened early Sunday within 19 minutes of me placing the order. The (wrong) book arrived on the Thursday 11 days later and the tracking number revealed the first the shipper heard of the book was Tuesday the week before (2 days after I cancelled) and the book did not leave England until late Friday. The shipper said if they were told the tracking number they could have rerouted the book although it did not always work. But WBB had a solution – I could ship the book back at my expense, they would keep the book (presumably they would refund the value of the book?) and keep the shipping costs I had originally paid.

Excellent service. I have had three transactions with WeBuy Books, and they've put the money into my bank as quick as they can. However, I do think the value they give on books especially if they're like new quality, is too low in my opinion. But overall, from App scan to bank, smooth as silk. I recommend dropping your books, if you can, to a pick up shop, but for those who cannot then they collect from home too. 10/10.

The whole process was so easy. Scanning each item quickly tells you whether the book is something they can sell, took minutes to scan a huge pile of books. You can then choose whether to accept their offer, I did, thought it was a fair offer as I didn't want the hassle of selling old books. You then print off a label, choose your pick up day and a courier collects your box of books. The money was processed quickly and I was kept informed by email the whole time. I would definitely recommend this service and I will be using them again.

Brilliant service, easy to scan the books and get a price. The books were collected by courier as planned and received the money quickly. Only negative was that you need to have a printer to be able to label the boxes any you can’t just write the address on. This may be due to the courier company they use. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I purchased three books from WeBuyBooks through AbeBooks. The books never arrived, and after raising the issue with AbeBooks I received an email from WeBuyBooks asking whether I wanted my order replaced or refunded. I asked for it to be replaced. A week later I had heard nothing more so I sent a follow-up email. Two weeks after that and still nothing. I sent a complaint to AbeBooks and they replied in less than 24 hours. Still no reply from WeBuyBooks a few days later. Terrible customer service. AbeBooks is good though - just don't buy from WeBuyBooks on there!

Scanning in the books and getting an offer was simple process. Some books had good price some low but i was happy with offer. Also once the books were received at We buy books everything went well. The weak point was their use of Evri. Absolutely terrible. They should consider using another courier as I would be reluctant to go that experience again

Although events conspired to make it difficult for me to get the books to them. The queen died, then there was a burial, a postal strike and because I was disabled not being able to get out of house plus requiring a label for posting the box of books, it took many months for the transaction to be completed. I was satisfied with the amount I received for the books. The staff were always patient and personable. I would recommend the firm.

Overall, the process design is easy on selling old/new books using a pre-paid delivery service and a free collection from your home is also available. Although, their courier company normally take the full 5 working days for the parcel/s to be delivered and reach the warehouse. Having said that, you do have access to the tracking via their app or email correspondence, and these details were updated on the app accordingly. The customer services are of high standard, call handlers were readily available to answer queries in a swift and professional manner. Following receipt of your items, it will usually take 3 working days for the books to be verified and the selling price offer to be accepted and payment made.

Very straightforward and enjoyable, the most difficult part is getting hold of cardboard boxes! But it is so flexible, I could use 4 boxes instead of the two suggested. Books collected by courier as expected, lots of feedback on the day with times they would collect. Then payment followed after a few days as expected. Completely seamless. Just wish I had more books, it's quite addictive:-)

Great first time experience using We Buy Books.. I had been meaning to clear through some old books for quite some time but just didn't have the patience to list them all on eBay. Using the We Buy Books app was very easy and I was given an instant valuation(£162!). Once the books were received, the money was in my account that day. The only issue I had was with their choice of courier. First collection day was not met due to the Evri delivery driver unable to fit 5 boxes of books in their car however, once I spoke to customer support, the issue was dealt with right away and a new date was scheduled for the following week, for a van to collect books. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again in the future!

Useful if you want to pass on some books you probably won't reread anytime soon. However, the prices are very low and will get lower still once you've actually sent your books to them. Whatever condition your books are in they'll deduct money saying there is damage once you've already sent them, so factor that in when you accept your initial offer. You essentially have to accept the new reduced offer as they make you pay high postage charges if you want the books sent back to you instead of accepting the lower offer. And obviously the books that they argue are damaged and therefore they don't have to pay you for turn out to be the newest / most expensive books you sent in

Excellent service. Just enter in the bar code or scan the books, then pack them ready for collection. Money paid promptly. Brilliant, will use again and recommend.

The system is simple enough, scan or type in ISBN numbers, the collection of the parcel for free postage by a national courier worked well and the books were checked over and monies sent quickly. The prices offered seem exceptionally low but that is in keeping with their main rivals. Such a shame that books carry so little value.

I've sold books, dvds and some cds via the 'We Buy Books' app during the past few months. I've found it a very good process. Recommended if you are trying to divest yourself of such loved items that you don't want just disappearing into a charity shop/landfill void.

webuybooks is marvellous - they let you know as you enter the ISBN number whether they can take the book or not and how much you're getting. It's true you often get only pence but there's always the occasional £1 or 2 and it's so good getting books away to somewhere where they can be used rather than pulped. They collect from you if you can't take your box/es to their collection point and recently I had confusion having moved house, with Evri constantly going to my old address. Webuybooks was excellent at allowing me to start again and reschedule.

Love the service very much, delivery takes a while longer than before. Everything comes on a pallet of parcels in one delivery now!! Before everything and payment took 5 day, not everything was checked properly and not accepted and a lot of was in good condition and not accepted. Over-all the service is excellent waiting longer means the job is being done right 😄

I have never experienced such seamless hassle free process of selling books. Great user experience product. I got money in just a week. Although their tracking updates in the app can be improved with more precise status rather than just saying “enroute” that the verbiage is not clear. Additionally, once the customer delivers the package to nearby post (evri in my case), and once the shipping label is printed out, the status can record that data and update in the app. This is because there was no acknowledgement or feedback of that task which user had to do. So it led to doubts like how would the WeBuyBooks would know that I as a customer have kept the package in the evri store? These are some underlying hidden gaps that could be improved in the user experience. Overall great service! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to save time against selling on eBay or Amazon.

It was easy. Just scanned the codes and sold the books. Printed out the shipping label at home, then dropped the box off at the collection point. Money was deposit into my account 3 days after the books were shipped. Smooth process.

I had a lot of books to get rid of, and used this app. Some books I got pennies for but some books were good to sell. It was easy to use. They gave me a digital label as I don’t have a printer at home which helped a lot. I packed the books and sent them. Within a week I’d say I got the payment. Shame they didn’t take the rest of the books that I had. I had a lot! Having a massive clear out of books that have been outgrown and books that are no longer needed. Definitely worth it if you can’t be bothered selling them privately.

This is a very secure site I have rang them once with a problem, and they put me right. So so easy to do, swipe, box, send with free label, or pick up. Money sent through bank or cheque. I would not use another site when it’s so easy to use. So trustworthy.

My experience with We Buy Books has been good so far. Everything worked well, though when I tried to track the parcel, Evri required a fee so I just hoped the parcel would arrive safely which We Buy Books confirmed by email. Anyway, I intend to use this company again very soon.

This system seems to work very well. Once you agree a sale, the pick-up is efficient and when your parcel(s) arrive the payment is speedy. As with another player in this field (Z+ff+t), the number of really interesting books rejected ("sorry - we're not currently interested in this title") is very, very frustrating.

So user friendly, quick and easy and exactly as promised throughout. Puts other courier companies to shame! Honestly. You know the price you'll get and everything else is done for you and free. It's a no-brainer!

Easy to follow instructions. Clear where to drop off parcel. App makes scanning bar codes simple. They didn't pay much for the books - average about 40p but if you just need to clear some space this is fine. App gets annoying when many of the books I scanned were not accepted by them.

Very easy app to use unlike some others. Repeatedly scan the bar codes and turn books and dvds into money. The shipment service was easy to use and I got a few £ back. Unfortunately lots of things not accepted or were very small prices offered

I've only recently discovered this company and have just received my first payment from selling 4 boxes of books. Very happy with the prompt payment and the ease of selling so will definitely be using them again. Their customer service phone line is good as well. And it's great to know my books will be going to new homes!

I have used we buy books several times now and have also found their website easy to use and a fair price given for the books I wish to sell. The doorstep collection service is really helpful. Funds are usually in my account within a week. I would recommend this company to others.

Excellent service! Clear, simple, upfront. Timely payment and fair prices. Wish their catalogue was wider though, so I could sell all my stock to them! Have tried other companies (including one with a wider catalogue) and have not found them as good as We Buy Books. Absolutely recommend.

This was an efficient way of selling my books. Money was credited into my account quickly and i would use again. My only thing is the amount you get for your books seems very little compared to the initial outlay, related to brand new books. But at least they can be of use to someone else and not gathering dust at home.
