Great pin to grab a Guinness. It seems small at first, but has an enormous back patio and bar. Definitely a good time.

Absolute disgrace. Charged €9 for a stale sandwich. Manger kept reminding us we had 30 minutes left, then 20 then 10. Ordered shots before we left, they never arrived. The lounge staff shouted over "get out". Abhorrent service and behaviour regardless of Covid-19 measures. I certainly won't be back when Covid is over. Shocked and applauded by the behaviour and service. A rushed 105 minutes and €170 less in our pockets. I would have had a better experience being mugged at knife point in the street.

Have been coming here for years and sad to see how a once great pub has turned to muck. I'm very conscious that businesses are having to adapt to Covid19 but his doesn't excuse staff being extremely rude (verbally shouting at me from 20 yards away) when i tried to attract waiting staff attention for drinks order (we had been waiting 25 minutes at this point). If you fancy a drink do yourself a favour and pick up a few cans from Tesco over the road.

Was here last week had a table booked within the guidelines, service was very poor had to look for staff to try get a drink. We got served 3 times and each time we looked for food we were told someone would take our order, after an hour and a half I asked the manager could we order food who rudely laughed in my face and said "no we need that table back" I asked why weren't we served food "tough isnt it now finish your drinks and go". So not only was the manager rude he also did. not care that he had breached government law by not serving us food.

Best pint of Guinness in Dublin ...big promise I know, but let's just say Top 5 easily! MASSIVE garden out the back (see pic) plus lots of nooks and crannies. Nice touch now that you can order the pizza from next door that is absolutely top notch!!

Recommended by my teacher - he was right! A great pub and a fantastic pint. Food at lunch is good but prefer it at night. Big beer garden out the back.

Friendly staff. Table service if you're in the beer garden. Happy to let you order pizza from the place next door. Can get busy so if in a group book ahead. Been to a few staff parties here and they always look after us. Some craft beer on tap as well.

A living piece of history with one of the best pints of Guinness in Dublin. It has a cool snug and Bier garden. It’s great craic in the evenings, and cozy and quiet during the day.

0 stars for customer service! We ordered a gin and tonic to our table( as well as a load of other drinks to our table). The waiter brought a gin and soda water. I went back to the bar asking if they could give us a new drink. The barman shouted that "no orders were wrong leaving his bar" and that it was my friends fault for pouring the identical bottle in to the glass. Disgusted. My friends and I spent a fortune at this place and they would not replace a gin and tonic. AVOID!

One of my favorite pubs over the decades the best choice along Baggot street for sure. But over years like most popular pubs in Dublin they just get overwhelmed. Had a great pint here on a Thursday but the place was so packed. So pop in when it’s quieter and sit away from the TVs which are a fairly recent addition, order a Guinness and enjoy. Maybe I’m just getting older but getting pizza delivered to your table in a box is an irritation to others. Toners is for Pints!

Very cozy pub with plenty of history and charm. They don't serve food, but you can order at the restaurant next door and enjoy it in the beer garden out back.

My go-to pub for meetups and gatherings. The back yard is brilliant, outdoors, and fresh air although way too many people smoking all around. A pint of Guinness is a bit high at 6 euro, but you can't beat the space. Good selection of whisky too.

Great place to have a pint, the yard is perfect for smokers. It was super busy even on a Wednesday. Will definitely be back for more drinks and the vibe!

Have always loved this pub, it's old style with that wonderful atmosphere of relaxed cosiness. A must for all visitors to the city. They sell a lovely pint of Guinness zero which I drink these days and thoroughly enjoy it.

Busy Irish pub with good atmosphere and large covered beer garden. Relatively limited range of drinks. But let’s face it, you’re here for the Guinness or a cider.

We spent part of our Saturday night here and we really enjoyed. We were 8 people and we seated outside drinking few pints each. Amazing the idea to order pizza from Cirillos ( the pizzeria close to this pub) and eat in the garden all together. Great staff, waiters super fast. Some complains for the toilets quite dirty but probably just because the pub was packed.

So things in the city centre are getting back to near full capacity as was evident in Toners bar on Saturday..I met some family from the states and were in early enough to get a seat in the "snug"..it was nice to see all the coming and going of Saturday night revellers..the pint was reasonably priced (unlike temple bar) and staff friendly and chatty

A great mix of an old pub, a snug, and a huge back patio (partially covered). Stars reduced for when you ask the server which pilsners and lagers they have on tap, her response was "I'm not sure what's the difference." Oh dear.

Great place to have a pint, the yard is perfect for smokers. I looked for a place like this for ages, all the guys are very nice and the pints were amazing. I'll definetely hang around here more often

This place is a true local find. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was helpful. We got our seats fast and got served quickly too. Drinks options were great and it's a good place to talk and chill.

An amazing, historic pub to me. It's like stepping back in time. Visited today and the place was immaculately clean too. Credit to the staff. Just called to see the setting from that one scene in an old Sergio Leone film.

Great pub! Filled with (mostly) local people who make a great crowd! We had a fantastic time. The pub is fairly huge woth different parts, and outside yard. Definitely a place to pop by when you're in Dublin and want a great Irish pub!

  • 5/5 Chris G. 4 years ago on Google
Place was great. Has a huge area in the back that we did not discover until late in the night.

  • 5/5 Desmond E. 1 year ago on Google
The old bar inside is one of the most authentic and traditional beers in Dublin. Great beer garden, one of the best around that delivers a great atmosphere whether it's winter or summer.

All the pubs we went to this night were great… the fact that I don’t REMEMBER this one specifically, is why it’s 4 stars not 5. They were all great, and some memorable, but apparently not Toners!

  • 5/5 Jeroen De K. 1 year ago on Google
Very cool inner garden, good craic, delicious selection of drinks. One of the better spots on Baggot Street. Make sure to explore the place, via the main entrance this looks like a cozy spot, once inside it's a gigantic bar.

Toner's is really a great pub, its touristic yes but it manages to keep its local flavor, this very old feel. It is really worth visiting.

Had a great visit here very friendly staff, great atmosphere, good selection of beers and whiskeys. We stopped in here for a drink on a weekday for our first night in Dublin and we couldn’t have stopped at a better place, great service and great people it was an amazing stop to start off our trip in Ireland

Wonderful pub in a great location in town. The newly done up function room upstairs is the perfect space for a party or event, I was there for a 30th. The upstairs is a great size, amazing staff and own bar as well as completely refurbished and decorated! Great Guinness and selection of pints and drinks. Loved it can’t wait to be back.

Great pub. The best pint of Guinness in Dublin in my humble opinion.

  • 5/5 Brian G. 7 months ago on Google
Definitely up there for top Guinness in Dublin. Particularly with the expansive outdoor area which is sheltered and full of heating. They also have a collaboration with Cirillo's to order pizzas and eat in the outdoor area. Very enjoyable

Massive outdoor space. Inside the bar is traditional and cute. Toilets absolutely stink out the hallway off putting. Very quiet the Sunday we visited staff outnumbering customers making it lacking in atmosphere

Toners pub is located in baggot street and is located in a very good location. This pub has a huge space and is ideal for large groups. I went for a office drinks party and we were about 30 people and we were accommodated quite well.

Great pub, so much space out the back, including the yard, which has heaters. We had a drink here, lots of space and some screens with sport

  • 3/5 Nick F. 8 months ago on Google
I came here on the recommendation of a friend. It's far from touristy, having a local crowd without live music or tons of sports TVs. The inside has some history but is also crowded. There's space outside and to the side for drinking but also feel cramped. The area on the side is where smokers congregate. It has a good drink selection but doesn't have the best social atmosphere.

My first night out in over a year and the staff at Toners couldn’t have been any nicer or more forthcoming, particularly considering the circumstances of Covid-19! Had the best night out in forever, thank you so much!

Amazing outdoor area during COVID-19, felt very very safe, all booths are very large for a group of people and adequately protected with screens in place. Service was brilliant, never saw the bottom of my Guinness glass, reasonable too for whereabouts in the city centre this place is. I think they were serving pizzas. One of the city’s best pubs for a good night out

Still one of the best pubs in Dublin, even with all that's going on. Shared a pizza with a friend, came from the pizzeria next door & was delicious, pints of Guinness were top drawer as usual also.

One of the worst experiences I've had. Staff were disinterested and rude in their service. Also shouted and cursed at customers to leave. Times are hard for business owners and patrons alike, this behaviour is unnecessary.
