Tastes sells a wide variety of cheeses, many of them local, and has an extensive set of tasty jars, ranging from Aioli through Dragon's Blood (careful with that) and Sicilian Lemon Marmalade to Vampire's Revenge. These are complemented by fresh local vegetables, hams, smoked fish, oils and vinegars. The friendly and very helpful proprietor will talk you through the provenance of the products, and how they can be used. If you can't get to the shop, you can buy non-perishable items in their online store.

Tastes is a veritable Aladdin’s cave of choice of good food with people who have detailed knowledge of all the products and who will happily give help and advice. Many products are sourced locally which not only reduces the carbon footprint and supports local growers but also ensure freshness. The shop is committed to using environmentally friendly products as much as possible with the olives etc being sold in compostable tubs and paper bags rather than plastic being used. It’s on-line service is superb and their hampers excellent.

This place is amazing. Whilst they do a variety of delicious looking things in jars I tend to go for the fresh baked goods, their array of cheeses, the best smoked salmon ever and more recently the olive mix. Fantastic shop and well worth visiting if in Eton.

This place is great. The range is amazingly broad and the quality of what they have is top shelf. When I am looking for some high-quality stuff for a bit of retail therapy, this is the perfect place to go for a foodie.

Fantastic little delicatessen with an impressive selection of spreads, preserves, cheeses meats and lots more. Well curated with a mix of British and imported artisan producers, most of which is hard to find elsewhere. The staff are very welcoming and happy to give advice. Highly recommended

What a wonderful deli with a large range of special treats. So many cheeses to choose from and the opportunity to sample before you buy. The owner is very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about food. My special favourite is the Onion Marmalade.
