I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shakespeare, and I must say, it was an enchanting experience from start to finish. The decor, with its intricate details and an abundance of lovely flowers, was beautifully done. It added a touch of natural elegance to the overall ambience, creating a charming and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the Shakespearean theme. The staff deserves special commendation. They were not only friendly but also incredibly welcoming. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to make recommendations made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. They where very patient as we couldn't decide and while waiting for us the make a decision they chatted with us and we didn't feel rushed. Now, let's talk about the food at "Shakespeare" - it was nothing short of amazing. I had Shakespeare full breakfast with extra halloumi cheese and an ice latte with a shot of caramel and my friend had a fully loaded omelette with salad, chips and extra sausage and a English tea. Today I went to @heddonskitchen I had their buttermilk chicken burger, a mango strawberry, banana smoothie, and then afterwards I had the Greek pancakes & a hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows. My mum went for the salt beef sandwich on rye. The buttermilk chicken was seriously unreal !! The burger itself had a gorgeous fillet of fresh chicken covered in panko crumbs. The burger was full of asian slaw and jalapeños too. It was just bursting with these amazing flavours. Their slaw is homemade & so tasty & has a lovely spicy taste to it which really went so well with the burger. The burger seriously was a winner for me it was probably one of the best buttermilk chicken burgers I’ve ever had & with the Asian slaw and jalapeños & the juicy chicken it really set off my tastebuds too. The burger was also a messy one - just how I like it 😋Also, their chips were made with Cyprus potatoes which truly are the best!! Mum said her salt beef sandwich was lovely & was really good salt beef. It was obviously also filled with pickled cucumber and mustard 😋 she said the rye bread was lovely and fresh too. The Greek pancakes were lovely to end with, they were basically a stack of 3 blueberry pancakes covered in Berry compote, toasted walnuts, Greek yoghurt drizzled with Cyp honey and cinnamon. The pancakes were lovely & fluffy & soft & the compote really went so well with the honey and the walnuts and pancakes, the whole plate was just mind blowing. I’m usually more a Nutella pancake person but this was definitely a game changer for me, the Greek yoghurt was a great addition to it too- the flavours were just perfect all round. Oh and their hot choc was just to die for and they actually use proper chocolate not powder. All in all @heddonskitchen is definitely a winner for me I couldn’t fault anything whatsoever. What a lovely place. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't busy. The toasted banana bread is one of the best deserts I've had. Staff were friendly and nice. They made sure they took our empty plates away so our table doesn't get full. The place was also warm. I definitely recommend this cafe as it's special.

Good food and service. Portions too big prefer less for a more reasonable price. Also music too loud for me.

A great overall experience for the second time. Lots of space, staff who smile and are attentive. Good quality food, attractive interiors and high ceilings making it a great environment too. Ismail especially, very helpful.

Stuck working at home, i decided to pop out for a spot of lunch. Came across Heddons and have a lovely lunch sitting outside in the sunshine. Lovely food and welcoming staff. Will visit again.

I visited Heddon's Kitchen for the first time and was so impressed with everything from start to finish. The service started from the moment I walked inside. The owner was so friendly, fully attentive and made sure we were happy with everything. He reassured us that everything was wiped down and wiped down again in front of us. Everyone had masks on which was reassuring too at this time. Food was amazing, very good prices, tailored for all dietary needs (I am Vegan). Although, they were busy the service was great! Definitely recommend this place and will definitely be going back!

Great food and drinks selection. The drinks took a while to come out, but the food was quick. Would defo go back to give some other dishes a try. Very picturesque decor attracting that instagram influencer. But down to earth once you are here. Recommend for a nice easy brunch 👌🏼

Heddons is by far the best place to grab a delicious brunch in Cockfosters. Having tried other places, we always end up back there almost on a weekly basis! The owner and all the staff are always really welcoming, customer service is fantastic and the food is incredible - I’d highly recommend the Heddons Delight or for something sweet, any of the french toast options are amazing. Looking forward to my next visit.

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, I recommend trying their signature cup. Food was delicious, definitely want to return soon. Loved the atmosphere here, staff was super friendly and helpful.

Lovely aura was a tad bit busy when I went buy I guess that shows popularity. Staff were ok . My table had a serious wobble which was not pleasant. The food was absolutely amazing. The smoothie was the same.

Sometimes the small things are what matter. I had Coffee & Croissant and throughly enjoyed it. Certainly my goto place when I'm taking my cat to the vets Nextdoor. If I was being super critical. Lose the cheap processed Jam and go for something like the Tiptree Thank you!

Food was delicious, smoothies were full of flavour! Full English was like it was cooked without any oil (not sure if it was or not) and not greasy in the slightest. Frappe was on point too! America pancakes and syrup were very nice too. £12.50 for the full English.

You have to wait a long time so you're better off booking but it is worth the wait. Food is amazing, and atmosphere is nice.

Just ordered for the first time and I am so impressed! Can’t believe I had never ordered before! The salt beef sandwich is amazing and so is the grilled chicken! I have an issue with chicken usually because in some places it tastes quite strong/“chickeny” -hard to explain -and i hate it- but here its amazing! The salt beef is soo nice! And the coffee is lovely, perfect! They have gained a loyal customer today. Thanks!!

Me and my partner decided to try this place as we live locally and always seen its while walking past. Upon entering the ambience is lovely and relaxing. I ordered the salt beef sandwich which at £16+ was rather expensive but I ordered it expecting a grand portion. When it arrived I was so disappointed. It had one strip of salt beef, a tiny amount. Really disappointing. The sweet potato chips tasted great but I won’t be returning after the insult of what’s called a salt beef sandwich. I could have gone to the deli across the road, who do a stacked salt beef sandwich for half the price. The reviews are quite good which leads me to believe people are clueless.

Really enjoyed my pouched eggs on toast and avocado. Great portion size and we also added spinach as a sides Nice looking establishment, very friendly staff and average price for the area. Would definitely go back again.

I recently visited Shakespeare and had an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately felt a welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was the outstanding service provided by the manager, Mel.

Really nice. Food was great, service very attentive. Not overly busy for an early Friday evening and got a table immediatly. Really worth checking out. Probably the best steak in cockfosters.

Loved the entire vibe of Shakespeare. Went with my family to have Friday dinner. Very supportive staff, served with smiles on their faces. The cocktails were delicious, the main meals were 10/10 and starters were yummy too. They also have a little swing thingy there which are great for pictures if that’s your thing. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It’s a great place for kids and adults too. Going back there for sure 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

The place has been refurbished since I last visited. Very pretty. New menu with lots of choice. Unfortunately we didn't get to sample the desserts today because they were really really busy and couldn't accommodate this. Friendly staff but rushed off their feet on weekends it seems.

Just had an amazing experience at the Shakespeare. We had the pleasure of being served by Julius! made us feel very welcome straight away and didn’t lack on the humour. The food was delicious with satisfying portion sizes. They have a great cocktail selection! i personally recommend the lychee martini. Will definitely be going back :) thank you!

Ismail and Yasin, both had contributed to a wonderful experience at Shakespeare's, Cockfosters, North London. Two very humorous individuals who made us feel very comfortable providing us an almost bespoke service from describing the items on the Menu to talking about the best places to go on holiday in Morocco. Ismail has a wonderful and friendly demeanour to him, a natural in his communication style and a very funny young man. Yasin was very organised in ensuring we were seated correctly relaying our needs to the kitchen and overall made us feel very secure in our experience. Both were very funny warm and charming. I will be going back more regularly. Beautiful decor on the inside and is a wonderful location. Thank you Yasin and Ismail as well as Shakespeares

Food was amazing. Staff were exceptional. Lovely ambient. Great decor. Highly recommend will deffo be coming again. Only downside is food is a bit overpriced.

Took my partner here for his birthday today and I cannot fault the service. The staff were very attentive and went above and beyond. I didn’t catch the names of the waiter and waitress that were looking after us but their service in particular was impeccable! Thank you! We will be back xx

Fabulous restaurant. Been here a few times and the loved it every time. The food is amazing and there are soooo many options. The service was awesome and everyone is extremely friendly. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.
