I came for lunch and ended up staying the entire afternoon working from one of the cow sheds at the back (see photos). I had the soup as a starter and the harvest bowl for mains. The food was amazing but only topped off by the amazing service from Gill with a G. I had forgotten what it was like to receive 5* customer service but Gill has restored my faith that you can still get excellent service in 2022. Make sure you treat her well and look after her. Since moving to the village, the Bull has been my favourite place to go. We pop there after cricket, me and my partner pop down for a snack or dinner. Drinks are great, staff are superb and always a nice vibe

The Bull is one of my favourite go to pubs for Sunday roast. Our late September sunny afternoon meal was perfect in all respects, roast chicken and roast beef with all the English trimmings. Staff are very friendly and a sensible approach to Covid. A welcome return to near normality.

Stopped for light lunch of starters: falafel and hummus with flat breads and brie bites with side order of fat fries. Despite being busy Sunday food arrived promptly and exquisitely presented and delicious. Very friendly helpful staff and excellent range of real ales. Will definitely be back to try the roast dinners!

Really good village pub serving great food. Loved the Bull Burger - proper fresh minced beef, none of this freezer patty nonsense that's so prevalent elsewhere. Friendly staff and good Guinness. Recommended!

It's a fantastic pub in a great setting just outside Hertford. Staff are very polite and attentive, and the service was prompt. The food was something else, I always have ribs if it's on the menu, so I've had a lot of ribs from many places. These are easily in my best so far. The starter was the wings, which was also phenomenal. Everyone at the table was happy, and we can be picky with our food if it's not what we expect. These guys didn't just meet. They exceeded. It's definitely a place we will be visiting again to try everything else on offer. Thank you to all staff.

Nice place to eat and meet. We had a lunch menu for Saturday, and it was excellent. Loads to eat and very tasty. Good value as well. Have a dining room and a place to eat if you have a dog. Also, outside a covered area.

Just had THE most excellent meal. Highly recommend the ribs, cooked by a proper chef. Service is very attentive and I will definitely be returning. Can’t speak highly enough of The Bull at Watton-At-Stone. Give it a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Another Monday and I'm out cycling with pals. It's not the riding but social aspects of riding that gets me out so a good pub stop is important. I think I've been here before but it would have been a long time ago but I know I've ridden past here. Never mind all that what is the pub like, you say. More and more places aren't opening on Monday as trade isn't great so a good pub in a decent location is great to visit. The Bull hits the spot. Food is up to par for a pub and there were plenty of customers in. The staff were cheery and efficient so it's definitely recommended by me. That's it, if you're in the area, do visit

Our first visit to The Bull at Watton at Stone and it did not disappoint. Reception was a little unorganised but the food and service faultless. We will return.

Beer was good and well kept, friendly staff welcoming. Menu looks good will have to try next time. The idea of private dinning in little huts all kitted out for your comfort is great. Can't wait to try it.

I hate the expression OMG .... BUT....OMG... the food was so fresh and delicious. Went for lunch & had Cesar salad & the Bull burger and they were both amazing ..Staff were very friendly & welcoming but gave you space to enjoy yr meal too. Definitely recommend this place

Not impressed by the Sunday roast - not pink, and chewy. Yorkshire pudding was dry to a crisp, like sawdust. Big helping. Charming staff.

I visited this evening with friends, so pleased we did. Fabulous evening in one of the cow sheds, which are amazing, the staff were so friendly, the food was delicious and the Thursday Prosecco offer was the icing on the cake. We will be back.

Cosy bar area, especially in the winter. Good beers and ciders, good outside options too. Really nice food - good quality ingredients. Most importantly, staff are great - knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Great pub in a lovely village
