Thank you for showcasing history as it was! It's important to show history and those that lived it. Thank you for contextualising modern labels and identities within history and validating that trans people have and always will exist.

Went to a temporary exhibition of local artist Samuel Lucas. So much to enjoy over and above the impressive art on display. Insights into Lucas's personal life, his active support for the anti-slavery cause, and social history of our town. Just what a local museum does best. Oh and it was free!

Well worth a visit! We are very glad to see the Samuel Lucas and a Windrush exhibition and everything else at this museum. Highly recommend a few hours here. Beautifully curated and nice staff at the welcome desk and in the cafe.

Considering it's a cafe in a museum, it has a good selection of basic cafe items you'd expect. I go there with the kids if there's a museum display we're going to see. Also, it is a good place to stop if you have mobility issues and need a place to rest.

A lovely new building and very interesting. Also with disability access and lifts inside and a cafeteria, well worth a visit to beautiful Hitchin.

Excellent display of Hertfordshire history. Well worth a visit. Only 4 stars because the disabled lift is out of order. However, there is still disabled access via the building next door. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, covid safe and plenty to see.
