Pleasantly surprised by what a great meal I had here and what a great value it was. The menu is solid with a nice selection of items that make it clear they’re not trying to do everything. The wine we ordered was lovely and went down easily. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. The charcuterie was very generous and nicely put together. Chorizo was well cooked and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a lovely evening out.

Walked in to el bar de tapas with no reservation on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly seated. 3 for £9.99 was a great value option for Lunch with any additional items on the menu being priced at £3.33 each. The drinks were good. The sangria was a bit on the sweet side for my taste and the Aperol Spritz had a twist I think with orange flavouring added to it. I liked this addition! The service was prompt and polite and no one left you waiting which was great. Will definitely go again to try more from the lunch menu and the paella!

I’ve been walking past this place over the past year and attended here for the first time, two weeks ago, to celebrate my dads birthday with the family. Such a lovely experience overall - booking over the telephone was smooth and staff on the day was very accommodating to our party of 8 (including two buggies). The food was delicious, the atmosphere and staff were excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be coming back to try evening menu for paella! Thank you!

My first visit, and I wasn’t disappointed. Having spent time in Spain, I was wary of trying this place in case it fell short but every bit as good as the food I had there. Incredibly flavourful, freshly prepared and generous portions. Beautifully presented, friendly staff who were very accommodating on my visit when I got bothered by a wasp and had to move inside! I will be back.

We headed here for more cocktails after having lunch at Lavish. We had a warm welcome from the staff & our orders were taken by a super lovely server who recommended the Dirty Banana Cocktail which was amazing 🙌🏼 their Strawberry Daiquiris were to die for! We also had a few peach shots which went down nicely 😊 Although we didn't dine there, the food smelt amazing & we will be arranging a night to eat there very soon 🌟

Stopped here whilst visiting Stevenage Old Town and what a great surprise. Haven't had Tapas much tbh and really enjoyed the restaurant's interpretation of this multiple dish classic meal. The waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive and really polite. As soon as we were seated fresh bread and aioli was served. All of the dishes we ordered were flavoursome, perfectly prepared and really quick to arrive. No the portion size isn't huge but for the price was very reasonable. Really enjoyed our meal and have already recommended the restaurant to friends.

It is the first time I went, amazing and wonderful place, staff quite friendly, pleasant and delicious food and good Spanish and enjoy every dish I felt like I was in Spain ... a bit of Spain in England ... I recommend this site to everyone, atmosphere and nice music to go with family or friends ... Wishing to go back to celebrate my birthday there will be soon

Went for lunch and the food is amazing as always. So fully of flavour and so well priced! Really love this restaurant, one of my favourites in Stevenage. Definitely recommend, staff were lovely and never had a bad meal. The churros were delicious, I would try and pick a favourite dish but I loved it all! Although they do need to update the website because it says the lunch menu is £9.99 for 3 dishes but I'm sure we paid £11.99, but still very worth it

Sat here just having finished the meal and can’t believe the taste and experience had. The speed at which they retrieved my beer it was like the barman had supersonic hearing. Every dish tasted amazing and Ella the waitress was super helpful with what to choose. Definitely recommend for anyone in Stevenage

I have an intolerance to Garlic, which means Tapas is usually out the window. I wrote a note on my booking asking for dishes without garlic to be recommended. To my amazement, I arrived and was presented with my own menu with dishes I could/couldn't have and those they would prepare for me, especially. I've never had this at any restaurant. They clearly went above and beyond. Will be back!

The service was excellent, the food was really good, ate Paella, ribs, etc😋 loved the bread too

I love this place! Food is incredible, tapas and paella are super tasty. I love the tarta Santiago dessert and cocktails are delicious. Atmosphere is great and staff is always smiling and making you feel welcome. I lost count of the times we visited, but I always had a wonderful experience. Thank you all so much!

Maria hosted a baby shower for 16 of us and couldn’t have done more to accommodate! The weather was not on our side but we were allocated a semi private space in the restaurant and it was perfect! Everything went smoothly. Food was tasty and everything was so well organised. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon!

What a beautiful and cozy location!!! The food is outstanding and the service and staff are brilliant. The lady who served us today went out of her way and kindly took the time to take photos of me and my friend. It was the 2nd time for me here and I can't wait to return. Also, if you're a fan of pine colada... they serve the best one I've ever had!

This place was recommended by friends and so I travelled here with a bestie. Service was impeccable. The server recommended a lovely red wine which tasted sublime alongside the delicious food. Well priced and good portion sizes, I would highly recommend this place.

The food was mediocre, each dish lacked something. The only thing I loved was the cheesecake which was amazing, maybe one of the best I've ever had. Drinks where amazing also. Apart from the Sangria it tasted like it came out of a packet. Reasonably priced

Cute little restaurant. Lovely food and great fast service. We went for the tasting menu offer and tried a good range of tapas. They were all lovely. My favourite was the braised pork cheek.

Lots of the food and drinks was really good and tasty, including the amazing drinks they do, which were delicious and looked amazing, they were presented so well. I recommend the patatas bravas and the other photos I listed, however I highly discourage getting the paella, the appearance is good, however it was mushy almost like it has been microwaved and was stuck together in lots of places, it also had no flavour at all. Despite this, the paella was taken off the bill, so at least there’s that.
