My wife and I had booked this hotel for 2 nights in June 2022 for a family celebration only for us to get an email saying they had cancelled my booking due to unforeseen circumstances, I contacted the hotel and they said there was a mistake with the booking and there was nothing they could do, extremely unhelpful and a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. I later found out that a concert had been arranged nearby and it looks like my booking was cancelled so they could resell the rooms at 5x the cost they should have been. This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I will never use the Ibis group ever again, be warned these people are extremely unscrupulous and do not care for their loyal customers.

I booked a room on the 28th November 2022 at Ibis Stevenage Hotel for one night for the 7th December 2022. I then received an email dated 5th December saying they had cancelled my reservation without giving a reason. Do not book this hotel - you cannot trust them!

Had a brilliant stay here, lush comfi beds (hard to leave), banging hot showers, big daylight blocking curtains & the breakfast in the morning served by Liz was by far the best quality hotel food I've had in a mega long time. She's great company & defo deservers a pay rise for the Stirling work singled handed work shes puts in! My only issue was that the walls are fairly paper thin, but did eventually pass out as the beds are so soft. Would definitely stay there again, especially with the good breakie to get you through the busy day! Big up - Ibliss!!!

Disgraceful hotel. Like the nearby Novotel (also owned by the French Accor group) this hotel cancelled bookings for genuine guests with no notice or reason given, because they’re no longer open to the UK public. I’m sure you can work out why. Avoid this place if they ever do bother to reopen, can only imagine the state it will be in..

Worst hotel I have stayed in my 40 year career. Poorly decorated no shower gel. Loo didn't flush correctly and a Police Officer sat outside the room next door all night. One coffee machine for a full dining room. Had to wait nearly 15 mins for the que to finish.

Only stayed for one night. Rooms adequate and nice and clean. Pillows were abit hard for my liking, huge double bed. Cosy and everything you'd need..ie even a hair dryer!.... Didn't sleep too well as next door a woman was screaming for couple hours sounded like she was being tortured was debating whether you call the front desk. Girl in the front desk was very nice we ordered food in. Had a nice stay. I would stay again...

Ibis is a very basic hotel. None of its own parking. It is what it is.

It was a nice experience to stay at this for work purpose. It is at a walking distance from station and just opposite to Tesco Extra. The room was clean and tidy with a double bed and attached bath. The breakfast was limited but delicious. Only issue was that there was no fridge to keep ur stuff or any facility to warm your food. Overall, a 4/5 for a leisure or business trip.

Never stayed at an Ibis as I had heard a few bad thing's about them , but I can say the one I used in Stevenage was excellent, the staff were welcoming and helpful we had given them a time for our arrival and rang to say we would be much later than expected the chap who I spoke to was very polite explaining it was no.problem at all. The rooms were clean and tidy the beds very comfortable indeed.all in all a very pleasant stay

Stevenage borough council use this hotel to house homeless people/families before they are placed in temporary accommodation. Sadly this means that some of the vulnerable drug users place their used needles into the mattresses/carpets/curtains and defecate on the floor which is obviously a concern. You couldn’t pay me to stay at this hotel. Avoid.

Room was only okay, clean but bed hard and lumpy and laminate peeling from units and floor. However hotel was quiet, convenient for town centre and lady on reception very helpful

Good hotel at the central market place of Stevenage. Nice staff and good rooms specially at the 3rd floor. Enjoyed staying there...

Member of staff on reception was excellent and a credit to the company. Breakfast was very busy and there was a non stop queue for the solitary coffee machine. Needs a second or third one really .

Good value for money hotel. Nice rooms and bathrooms. Friendly staff. Elevator is ancient and slow, but only used it twice.

Stayed for two nights. Stayed in room 311. The bed was lovely and clean but the carpet was badly stained and looked like blood. Could do with a deep clean. The bathroom was a little tight but again nice and clean. A little over priced at £114.00 with no breakfast.

It was like staying in a concrete jungle, horrible area. The rooms were very basic. Breakfast wasn't too bad. We couldn't wait to leave.

The location is great but Hotel Services especially getting something to eat is not provided. Every guest have to provide their food.

This has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The bed is big and pillow soft, which is why it gets one star. But wife has allergy to the bed, so meh. The bathroom door opens inwards to a small bathroom, and the bath mat can't be placed at the door without blocking it so had to be placed in front of the toilet, where when you dry yourself you will both knock the toilet roll off and hit the cubicle panel. The hook behind the door was installed pointed to the 9 oclock position for some reason so anything you put up there will just slide right off. The amount of water coming out of the shower is equivelent to a manneken pis, and I'm not exagerating here. To be fair this is a few days after London was declared drought so there might be some procedures going on here. The next morning, there was nothing but scalding hot water coming out of the tap, which was obviously not ideal.

I assumed it wouldn't be nice , but the room surprised me. It seemed quite modern. Bathroom was very clean couldn't fault it. Lifts had an odd smell . Microwave available downstairs. And small selection of drinks

Stayed here after the Liam Gallagher gig at Knebworth. Hotel was conveniently located. Nice spacious, clean rooms, pleasant staff. Great breakfast buffet. Would happily stay there again and would recommend to anyone

Very uncomfortable place to stay - cold rooms that need updating, and the cleanliness of the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The only good point was the cheerful helpful lady running the breakfast area.

I have to say that this Particular hotel is not at all what it seems, the staff are rude and the Clientele they have in the hotel is Beyond desirable so thank you ibis for Ruining my two day stay. If it wasn’t for the Surrounding areas then I would have been make likeing a Formal complaint

lovely rooms especially the king sized one which comes with a nice bench and a good size tv and clean shower. However I was utterly disappointed with the "breakfast buffet" as it was quite small for the price of £8.95pp. My partner loved the bacon and sausages but with me being a pescetarian there won't so many options as all I could have were hash browns, mushrooms, cheese, beans, eggs and cereal. There weren't any veg sausages. I do not recommend people having breakfast here especially for pescetarians, vegetarian and most importantly vegans.

I had a single room with a very large bed, so a room for two, I cannot fault the cleanness of my room as well as the bathroom. Reception was first class. Breakfast is great; you can eat what you want, and there are great choices for everyone. It's about a 10 - to 15-minute walk to the old town. I took a very slow walk so considerably longer. I would love to stay there again.
